Volume 1 Chapter 2 The Game Begins
Zero Degree Fantasy Setting 1:
Zero Degree Fantasy Character Attributes:
There are seven basic attributes of zero-degree fantasy characters: physique, strength, accuracy, agility, wisdom, spiritual power, and spiritual awareness.
Two hidden attributes: luck and charm
The performance attributes corresponding to the basic attributes are:
Physical fitness - health (HP), physical defense
Strength - physical attack power, weight
Accuracy - physical attack hit rate, magic attack hit rate, professional skill success rate
Agility - movement speed, dodge success rate
Wisdom - Magic Points (MP), Skill Points Gained
Spiritual power - magic attack power, five elements or elemental attribute strength
Divine Awareness: Magical Defense, Magic Casting Success Rate
The initial attribute allocation points are 25 points, with at least one point allocated to each attribute (18 points for free allocation points), and 1 point is allocated for every 3 levels. If the points allocated to strength in the initial allocation exceed 12 points, each additional point will receive a 4% weighting; if the points allocated to spiritual power exceed 7 points, each additional point will receive a 5% weighting; if the points allocated to agility exceed 5, each additional point will receive a 2% weighting. Some equipment obtained in the game may have attribute points, but these additional points do not belong to the basic points, that is, they are not included in the performance attribute bonus calculation when upgrading. However, basic points can be obtained by completing certain tasks.
…
To celebrate the account, Awei and I found a small restaurant to have a big meal, and also to save energy for the upcoming battle. We went to the supermarket to buy a lot of fast food and returned to the house we shared. After graduating from university last year, Awei found a job as a website editor in Shanghai. The salary was not high but very easy. I didn't find a satisfactory job and kept wandering around Shanghai. Later, I decided to become a professional player. By practicing and selling equipment, I also got a little money, which was barely enough for living expenses. In order to save money, it was naturally more cost-effective for two people to live together. Awei didn't need to go to work in the company. Every day, as long as he finished editing the page he was responsible for, he would come to play online games with me. In addition to helping me a lot in the game, he also used the convenience of his work on the website to help me advertise and attract business. If it weren't for his support, I don't know if I could stick to the path of a professional player. Maybe I would agree to work for New Era Group during the internal test.
After taking a shower, I felt relaxed and sat in front of the computer desk. My spirit was extremely full. Haha, I never fight a battle without preparation. I slept for 20 hours before getting up to queue up this morning! I plan to fight continuously with high intensity after entering the game, and I must gain a level advantage in the early stage. Because of the identity binding, there is no possibility of power leveling. The most advanced intelligent system of New Era Group also eliminates the possibility of plug-ins. I believe that with my strength (strength without sleep), I will definitely achieve great things!
Looking at the time, there are only five minutes left until 20:00 when the game opens. I reminded Wei and he also exited the homepage of the Zero Degree Fantasy website he was browsing. I took out my helmet and put it on (mine was a prize from the internal test, and Wei bought one for a thousand yuan three days ago). I turned it on, and the transparent LCD eye mask immediately darkened after being powered on. I felt a slight dizziness in my brain. This was the helmet connecting to my brain waves. After three months of internal testing, I had already become familiar with this feeling.
After waiting in the endless darkness for about two or three minutes, there was a sudden clang of bells. A bright light shone before my eyes. I was suddenly in a magnificent palace. A majestic voice came over: "Zero Degree Fantasy is officially open. Welcome! The current time is the first day of the first month of the first year of Zero Degree Fantasy!"
Haha, there is one more opening statement than during the internal test.
Then a familiar scene appeared, a beautiful butterfly elf appeared in the void. Great! The developers of Zero Fantasy are really good at catching people's minds. Although the butterfly clothes on the elf cover most of the spring light, the looming devil figure is even more attractive. I believe that male players who are playing this game for the first time are already drooling and even bleeding from their noses, right? And female players who see such a cute shape must want to grab it as a decoration for their own dormitory! The first impression left on people is so attractive, and the game is already half successful!
"Hello, I am the game guide. This is your first time logging into this game. Please enter your ID account."
My account number… I didn’t open the envelope to check it out, but Ah Wei told me his account number was 00000100000 during dinner. I guess the accounts in each city were allocated in order, and Shanghai, as the headquarters of the group, was allocated first. Ah Wei was the last player in Shanghai to get an account number, so he got this number. According to our years of experience in playing online games, this kind of special number usually has some rewards after entering the game, no wonder he was so proud. Then he insisted on seeing my account number, but we were both stunned after tearing open the envelope. The account number Mr. Li gave me was 00000000001! The first account in the game! This is a big gift. It seems that Mr. Li originally intended to give it to someone very important to him, but he didn’t expect that he would be willing to give it to me. My gratitude to Mr. Li increased a little.
I reported my account number to the butterfly fairy.
"Please enter your ID number."
"XXXXXXXX..."
"Identity binding matches, confirmed as the player of this account. Please wait for iris sampling."
"Iris sampling is complete. Please state your name for voiceprint sampling."
"Haotian."
"Voiceprint sampling completed, identity registration completed, account locked."
The identity authentication of Zero Degree Fantasy is really strict, but once you complete the identity registration, it will be easy to log in later. You don’t even need an account and password, because Zero Degree Fantasy stipulates that each person has one account. Therefore, as long as you put on the helmet and report your name, the helmet will automatically scan your iris, read your voiceprint, and automatically log in to your account after verifying the data.
"Since this is your first time logging into the game, please create a new character."
Zero Degree Fantasy stipulates that each account can only create one character, and the character image is formed by scanning your real appearance and then slightly modifying it by the computer. You can make a 10% correction adjustment on this basis, so there is no possibility of the existence of transsexuals, and the character image in the game is at least 70% similar to the players in reality.
I am quite confident about my appearance. I am considered a junior handsome guy, but I have a bit of a baby face. So I made my facial lines harder and lengthened the corners of my eyes a little. This added a bit of coolness to my temperament, and I looked very satisfied.
"Please enter your character name."
"Blood sky."
"Please select your race."
"Human race."
"Please assign your character's basic attributes."
This is the highlight. The game content of Zero Degree Fantasy is the same as most fantasy online games on the market today, mixing Eastern and Western mythology and magic. There is not much new in this aspect, but its character attribute points are quite special. The basic attribute points not only affect the character's initial performance attributes, but also affect the performance attribute bonus after upgrading. For example, the constitution in the basic attribute affects the life (HP) and physical defense in the performance attributes. If you add more points to the constitution, not only will your initial character have high health and defense, but you will also increase your HP and defense more than others for each level you upgrade in the future. Zero Degree Fantasy has a total of seven basic attributes, but the basic points are only 25 points, so the basic attribute points at the beginning are very important, which affects the career direction of your character in the future. It is very annoying that the official website of Zero Fantasy does not disclose the specific conversion formula between basic attributes and performance attributes. However, this is not a problem for me as a professional player. I committed suicide no less than 50 times during the internal test. Every time I practiced to level 30, I would commit suicide to rebuild the character, and then practice again. I played all combat-type professions and some skill-type professions. In addition to being as familiar with this game as possible, the purpose is to figure out the relationship between basic attributes and performance attributes, so that I can create the most suitable character for myself when the game is officially opened, and distribute the basic points in the most reasonable way. As the saying goes, God rewards hard work. After accumulating a large amount of data records, I finally analyzed the formula for attribute conversion, and the bugs and tasks mentioned above were also found under my abnormal play style. Although other internal test players can also master the approximate reasonable point allocation plan with the experience of veterans, there are probably few who can understand it as deeply as I do. You must know that even if the initial points are allocated incorrectly, this tiny gap will only increase with the increase of levels! With these data, my starting line is one step higher than others!
I was just about to allocate points to create a character according to the plan I had already planned, when the butterfly elf suddenly added, "Since you have your first account in this game, I will give you 5 basic points as a reward!"
5 points! Oh my god, 00000000001 is really an amazing account! In Zero Degree Fantasy, you can only get one basic attribute point every 3 levels. I quickly converted it using the empirical formula. 5 points means that I have an advantage of about 10 levels over others from the beginning!
However, in the ecstasy brought by the lucky account, I also had a worry. How should I allocate my points? It is definitely not as simple as adding these 5 points to certain attributes on the original allocation plan. I want to maximize the advantage and must thoroughly adjust the allocation plan. Unfortunately, my original plan... It took me two whole days to calculate the optimal plan, and even took into account the attribute points after level 60. Now I have to completely overthrow it and start over. Plans cannot keep up with changes. I believe this sentence!
The first thing I had to decide was whether I should change my original race and profession after getting 5 extra attribute points? The last person I really trained in the internal test was a human warrior, and by the end of the internal test, he was already over level 80, so I originally planned to train this profession that I was most familiar with during the public test, and the point allocation plan was also tailored for this profession. But now everything has to be reconsidered...
After a quarter of an hour of thinking, I decided to choose the human race, but I will develop the profession in the direction of the knight! The reason is simple, I prefer melee characters, so I don’t consider mages and archers; and in order to gain level advantages in the early stage, professions such as thieves and assassins that are not suitable for solo training are excluded; and the warrior profession requires a relatively balanced basic attribute, otherwise there will be a big weakness, and the effect of the 5 points of additional points will not be very prominent. Choosing the knight profession, according to my new conception of point allocation, I can even expand this 5-point advantage by half!
My original allocation plan was:
Constitution: 5
Strength: 8
Accuracy: 3
Agility: 4
Wisdom: 3
Spiritual power: 1
Spiritual consciousness: 1
The corresponding performance attributes of the characters in this scheme at level 0 are:
HP = 5 × 50 = 250, physical defense = 5 × 5 = 25
Physical attack power = 8×5 = 40, weight = 8×10 = 80
The calculation of hit rate is rather complicated, as it not only depends on the attributes of the unit itself, but also on the attributes and level of the opponent, and can only be estimated during combat.
The calculation of dodge rate is the same as hit rate. Movement speed = 4×5 = 20km/h
MP=3×30=90, Magic Attack Power=1×3=3, Magic Defense Power=1×4=4
(The above is only the performance attribute calculation formula for humans. There are big differences among different races. For example, the HP of an orc with 5 points of constitution will be 300, while that of an elf will only be 200)
The revised plan is:
Constitution: 4
Strength: 16 (weighted 16%)
Accuracy: 3
Agility: 2
Wisdom: 3
Spiritual power: 1
Spiritual consciousness: 1
This becomes:
HP = 4 × 50 = 200, physical defense = 4 × 5 = 20
Physical attack power = 16 × 5 × (1 + 16%) = 93, weight = 16 × 10 × (1 + 16%) = 187
Movement speed = 2×5 = 10 km/h, MP = 90, Magic Attack = 3, Magic Defense = 4
I sacrificed some physique and agility in exchange for more than double the attack power and load-bearing capacity of the original plan! This is really important for the initial leveling! And I can compensate for the lack of attributes by adding points after upgrading. In fact, there is no difference between the professions before the official job change at level 10, so why did I choose the knight profession? Haha, because I will not add the upgraded attribute points to agility at all, I will further expand the advantage of strength. Low agility is indeed a headache, especially for a skilled professional player like me, high agility can better reflect the technical advantage. However, the advantage of the knight is that you can learn the professional skill "riding", have a good mount, and with advanced riding skills, the mobility is unparalleled, and your own agility is irrelevant.
Why don't I set all other attribute points to 1 and add all the remaining points to strength, so that I have 24 points of strength and can get 48% of the weighting? Haha, I tried to create such a character during the internal test, and it was absolutely stupid. The balance of Zero Fantasy is very good, and each attribute has its own important significance. A character with 1 constitution, 1 accuracy, and 1 agility, running to the leveling point N times slower than others, facing the monster, even five or six cuts are misses, and the attack power is useless. The monster hits the body accurately, and the defense is very low, and the blood is pitiful. Even a low-level monster slime cannot be singled out, and there is no way to upgrade. The rule of Zero Fantasy is that characters before level 10 cannot form a team or trade with players, which means that before level 10, they can only rely on themselves. In this case, not being able to upgrade means that you cannot get upgrade points to make up for your weaknesses. There is no other way to go except suicide and rebuilding the character.
"Player Bloody Sky, are you sure about the character you created?"
"Sure."
"Log in to the game now?"
"yes."
"Okay, have fun playing the game."
A melodious music sounded, the magnificent palace gradually transformed, and I fell into darkness again. When the light around me gradually increased and I could see the surrounding scenery again, I had already entered the game and was born in the novice village randomly assigned by the system.
I started my zero degree dream journey.
