FOE Family First Chapter 21 Business Comes

In an abandoned warehouse near the city park of Lincoln High School, the sound of musical instruments without any rhythm was coming out. Fortunately, this abandoned warehouse was far enough away from the main building of the school and was covered by large trees, so there was no need to worry about this music, which could only be classified as noise, disturbing the school teachers.
This abandoned warehouse was once the warehouse of the school's sailing club, and before that it was the gun library of the school's rifle club. However, the rifle club was abolished in 1973, and the sailing club was disbanded a few years ago due to insufficient members. This venue was completely abandoned and became an exclusive activity venue for high school students who did not want to join the school music club and tried to play rock music or other personal music.
Tommy Hawke pushed open the warehouse's worn-out door that was already mottled and covered in graffiti. His best friend, Dennis Herbers, the Lincoln High School man of the year, was standing in the center of the warehouse with a colorful headband on his forehead and a punk-style outfit with zippers, leather skulls, naked patterns, and sharp rivets. He was tuning a bass in his hand, and next to him were several other people holding various instruments, each tuning their own.
In another open space against the wall, several high school girls who had put on smoky makeup, fishnet stockings, and painted their nails in various weird colors after school were sitting on the ground with cigarettes in their mouths. They were obviously the girlfriends and fans of these guys.
"Brad! Put down the damn banjo!" Dennis finished tuning the bass in his hand, took out the cigarette butt from his mouth, and played it towards a companion next to him, laughing and cursing loudly: "Your ancestor left this banjo, not for you to play! At that time, when your ancestor was having sex with a nigger woman, the nigger husband of the nigger woman needed to play the banjo beside him to cheer him up! He left this banjo in the hope that future generations would emulate him and restore his glory! Not to see a fucking white slave owner learning to play the banjo from a nigger slave! Seeing you like this, he might get up from the grave in anger tonight!"
"Fuck You! Dennis!" The companion gave Dennis the middle finger: "I'm going to treat you like my grandfather treated the niggers."
In Rhode Island, where blacks only account for 3% of the total population, this hellish joke against blacks is everywhere. Although the waves of racial equality and opposition to racial discrimination are constantly surging, this wave may be effective in other northern states with more blacks, but there is obviously not enough black soil in Rhode Island.
During the state election a few years ago, when Republican electors debated with their Democratic rivals, a line that white residents of Rhode Island loved to talk about was: "If you want to be neighbors with niggers, just vote Democratic. I respect your decision to consider yourself a nigger."
This speech also helped him to be elected because no white person here wanted to be a neighbor to black people.
In fact, before Hawke came through, the original Tommy used to be as unrestrained as Dennis after school, playing musical instruments, picking up girls, and teasing black people. It was only after he came through that he changed his lifestyle.
"Look who's here, Tommy, my dear buddy, come here and kiss my Dick!" After Dennis teased his companion, he saw Tommy Hawke at the door and said loudly.
"I heard that you have become a celebrity. The principal's failure to expel you is the biggest mistake of his career, Dennis." Tommy Hawke took out a cigarette, lit it between his lips, and said to Dennis with a smile.
Dennis nodded. "Even the private Holy Cross High School knows my name. Their school's rock band even invited me to participate in their private concert next week because they think I'm cool. Man, I'm a celebrity now."
Holy Cross High School is a private high school in Providence. The students there are unlikely to make friends with the losers taught in what they consider to be junk public schools. But even they sent out an invitation, which shows that what Dennis did indeed caused quite a stir in the high school community in the state.
"Where's Pam?"
"He is busy imparting our technology to more people." Dennis said, "You know, he never likes this kind of occasion to be in the spotlight."
"So you're pretty well connected now, huh?"
“All over Rhode Island.”
Tommy shrugged. "How about doing me a favor, Dennis? I gave you an A on your math homework."
"Of course no problem, I can take off my pants right now, bro." Dennis said seriously .
Everyone was stunned until Dennis laughed loudly, and then they realized that this guy was joking with Tommy.
Dennis said to Tommy, "Listen, if you want to go to Holy Cross High School next week, I can take you with me. I heard there are some very beautiful girls in that high school..."
"It has nothing to do with women. I need you to go meet a man with me." Tommy Hawke, who was dressed in casual clothes, held a cigarette in his mouth and said to Dennis with a smile, "But don't worry, you don't need to take off your pants."
In East Greenwich, Hugh Spade returned to his rented apartment, threw the medicine in his pocket on the table, and then sat lazily on the sofa, staring at the medicine in a daze.
In fact, he discovered this problem when he was in the car. These things can indeed be sold for dozens of yuan, but who should he sell them to? Without a buyer, there is no way to cash in.
"I should give it back to that damn bitch next time I see her, and then let her sell it and give me the money." Hugh Spade took a sip of beer, leaned back on the sofa and thought for a while, before he finally came up with a good solution.
He had the negatives of Melonie's photos, and when that guy really got a job as a teacher in the school, he would be his cash cow. Every month, he would get as much child support as the Child Protection Agency deducted from his salary account from Melonie. This was what that woman owed him. If she hadn't exposed what he had done, he might have been married now and was enjoying a happy married life.
Ring ring ring, ring ring ring.
The phone rang, and Hugh Spade stood up and walked over to pick up the receiver: "This is Hugh Spade."
"Hello, Mr. Spade." Tommy Hawke's voice sounded on the other end of the phone: "I heard from my landlady that you took some things that don't belong to you."
"Kid, it's none of my business. That woman owes me something. She lost your things. Go and settle the score with her. Don't bother me." Hugh Spade heard that the person on the other side was Melonie's high school student tenant. He smiled and said, "If you have no other questions, I'm going to hang up."
Tommy Hawke's voice continued, "I advise you not to do that, because I saw a white Mercury with license plate number XKP629 parked in parking space B of Oak Apartments in East Greenwich. Is that your car?"
Hugh Spade's face changed. He put the receiver next to the phone, walked quickly to the living room window, and looked out. As the sun was setting, a punk-dressed young man was leaning against his car, smoking a cigarette, his eyes fixed on the window . When he saw him, the young man waved at him and shouted:
"You must have received the call, sir? May I come upstairs to see you?"
Hugh Spade walked back to the phone with a gloomy face and picked up the receiver: "If you dare to damage my car, expect the police to come to your door."
"No, no, no, you misunderstood me, Mr. Spade. That guy is my client. You took my goods, so I had to let him come to you to get them. Since I'm busy with other things in Providence now, I hope you can do me a favor and not let my clients leave. Keep them for me. Consider those drugs as a gift to you. You can keep the money he paid you, but only this time." Tommy Hawke said and hung up the phone: "Then, when I'm done, I'll talk business with you."
Hugh Spade put down the phone receiver and stared at it for two minutes. Suddenly he picked up the phone and dialed the number of the information desk: "Help me find the registered address of a phone number."
"Sir, this phone number belongs to the Providence Paradise Strip Club." The operator on the other end of the phone gave a sweet answer.
"Ring, ring, ring~" At this time, the doorbell rang outside the door.
Hugh Spade looked at the medicines on the table, then at the ringing doorbell, and fell silent.
