FOE Family First Chapter 20 Persuade Him

Hugh Spade felt that today was a good day, because when he just got up in the morning, his damn ex-girlfriend Melonie called and said that she had a hundred dollars and wanted to exchange it for some photos. She hoped that he would bring the photos to her residence in Warwick after get off work.
So after school at Sinclair Elementary School, Hugh Spade drove back to his residence early. Although the amount was far from the five hundred dollars he had asked for, the one hundred dollars plus his one hundred and forty dollars weekly salary could at least ensure that he could become a normal human being again this week, instead of being a poor man who could hardly afford commercial insurance and was ready to sell blood to maintain his dignity.
He opened the refrigerator, took out a can of beer and took a sip, then reached into the innermost part of the refrigerator, took out a folder, and poured out all the photos inside.
These are his precious collections, all of which are wonderful photos taken when Melonie was half-heartedly dating him or when she was drunk.
Hugh Spade drank his beer and examined it for a few minutes. He selected the three photos that he thought were the ugliest from the twenty or so photos, put them in his pocket, and put the rest of the photos away and put them back in the refrigerator.
After getting the photo, he walked out of his apartment holding a beer, opened the door, got into his family car, started the car and drove towards Warwick.
Standing in front of the door of this apartment where he had left beautiful memories, Hugh Spade rang the doorbell. Seeing Melonie opening the door, he opened his arms and said with a hypocritical smile: "Dear Melonie, I don't know why, but every time I see you, my mood will get better."
"Here's a hundred dollars, give me back the photo." Melanie had no intention of letting him step into the apartment, so she just stood in front of the door and said coldly.
Hugh Spade chuckled. "You should take me in for coffee and dessert, remember that time in Boston, just like that, give me..."
"Give me the photo and get out." Melanie was too lazy to listen to his greetings. She took out a hundred dollars and held it between her fingers, saying with hatred.
Hugh Spade licked his lips with his tongue and slowly restrained his smile: "I need to make it clear to you that we are in the same position, Bitch."
As he spoke, he grabbed Melonie's wrist as she showed him the money, then he exerted force and pulled Melonie into the apartment, then slammed the door shut!
"Do you want to hit me? Like last time?" Melanie took a deep breath, stared at Hugh Spade, and said.
Hugh Spade slowly let go of Melanie's wrist and laughed again: "No, dear, of course I won't. It's a normal transaction. You pay me the photography fee, I give you the photos, and I..."
He looked around the room, then fixed his eyes on the coffee table in the living room. Capsules and pills were scattered on the transparent glass coffee table, and there were several bags of medicine in packaging bags next to it.
The drugs immediately attracted his attention. He walked towards the coffee table. Melonie quickly stepped forward to stop him and said, "These are not mine. I'm just helping to pack them!"
"Go away, bitch. Don't force me to leave marks on your face like last time." After shaking his fist to scare Melonie away, Hugh Spade walked over and picked up the bags of medicines and looked at them. He said in surprise, "Adderall and Ambien, these are good products that are hard to find in pharmacies nowadays."
"I said, this is not mine, it belongs to my tenant. I help him pack it to make some extra money." Melanie suddenly stepped forward and stretched out her hand to try to take back the medicine that Hugh Spade had picked up, explaining .
Hugh Spade raised his hand and punched Melonie in the face, knocking her over on the sofa.
"Do you need me to use my fist to help you remember what pain is again?" Hugh Spade said, staring down at Melonie with a fierce look.
Melanie covered her face that was hit, looked at Hugh Spade in horror, and cried, "Hugh, that's not mine. If you want me to make money, don't mess up my job. Please..."
"Baby, oh, seeing you cry breaks my heart." Hugh Spade made an exaggerated expression of grief and laughed at Melonie, "So, your tenant is a drug dealer? A gang member? If you don't explain it to me clearly, I can't guarantee what will happen next. Maybe your beautiful photos will appear in various schools, and you can just wait to help drug dealers package drugs for the rest of your life!"
"No..." Melanie collapsed on the sofa and burst into tears.
Hugh Spade learned everything from Melonie's intermittent narration. In order to raise money, this woman rented her small bedroom to a high school student from Lincoln High School. It turned out that the high school student did not come here to study at all, but to do his small pharmaceutical business. Every evening, high school students, both boys and girls, came to him to buy some drugs and then go to various youth parties. Melonie tried to stop them several times but failed. In addition, she was short of money, so she was persuaded by the other party and started to help him pack the drugs and sell them to the students who came here to pick up the goods, in order to earn some extra money.
"That guy is a gang member! Italian Mafia! If you take those goods, he will make trouble for you!" Seeing Hugh Spade looking at the drugs with greedy eyes, Melanie suddenly plucked up the courage to shout.
Hugh Spade laughed. "You know, if that guy was a gangster like you said, you would have told me right away, instead of trying to scare me off when you saw me trying to take the goods."
As he spoke, Hugh Spade picked up the medicines on the coffee table and put them all into his pocket: "I'll give you a discount of fifty dollars for these. I'll assume that you paid me one hundred and fifty dollars today."
Then he bent down and picked up all the bills that fell on the ground when he beat Melonie, turned around and walked out: "You still need to pay me three hundred and fifty dollars before next week. You have to thank me for not calculating the interest for you."
"What should I do if you take those goods! Hughes! Hughes!" Melanie struggled to get up from the sofa and quickly chased after Hugh Spade.
Hugh Spade turned around gracefully and looked at Melonie: "You are so beautiful, why don't you go to bed with that little guy? Maybe he will not only not blame you for losing the pills, but will pay you for a night."
"You bastard!" Melonie swung her fist at Hugh Spade like an enraged female beast.
Hugh Spade raised his leg and kicked Melonie hard in the abdomen, causing Melonie to step back two steps. She fell to her knees with her hands covering her abdomen and a painful expression on her face!
"You ungrateful bitch, huh~" Hugh Spade spat on the ground, then took out three photos from his pocket and threw them on Melanie like garbage: "Take them and enjoy them slowly. Your breasts are quite charming."
Walking to the door and opening it, Hugh Spade seemed to remember something, turned around and said to Melanie, who was kneeling on the ground and reaching for the photo:
"Remember to prepare coffee and dessert for me next time you call me to withdraw money. See you next time, baby."
The door closed heavily. Melanie got up from the floor, wiped the tears from her face with her hands, stood up and walked to the window to look at the parking space outside. Only after she was sure that Hugh Spade had driven away did she pick up the phone and dial a number:
"He left and took the medicine."
On the other end of the phone, Tommy Hawke said calmly, "What happens next has nothing to do with you."
"What are you going to do, Tommy? At least let me know that you won't go down the path of crime." Melanie said nervously.
"I'm helping Mr. Hugh Spade find a buyer and trying to persuade him to go down the path of crime," Tommy Hawke said and hung up the phone.
