Chapter 6 The teacher decides for you
"Boom boom boom"
Opening the door, Xia Miao showed her little white teeth: "He Shu, I bought you some medicine and Band-Aid."
He Shu moved aside and let Xia Miao enter the house.
The first thing Xia Miao saw when she entered the house was the portrait of He Shu's mother. She was stunned for a moment, but perhaps because the smile of the woman in the photo was too gentle, Xia Miao did not feel scared.
He Shu's home is very simple, the furniture and decoration are all from more than ten years ago, many things are very old. But they are all arranged neatly, and the house is spotless.
Xia Miao thought of He Shu's always clean school uniform, his sneakers with spotless white edges, and his books that were always clean without any creases, and she felt that it was as she expected.
He Shu’s home should be this clean.
The soiled school uniform had been changed, and He Shu was wearing a vest. On his exposed white arms, there were two obvious pinch marks that were tinged with purple.
Xia Miao didn't have time to care about He Shu's arm, and watched a trickle of blood flow out of He Shu's nostrils.
He Shu also felt it. He quickly raised his head and walked quickly to the bathroom. There was a sound of water, and He Shu came out wet. The blood on his face was washed clean, and a ball of paper was stuffed into his bleeding nostrils.
"This Lai Huaguang, who is also the class monitor, actually hired someone to beat you up. This is too much. I will definitely tell the teacher tomorrow."
He Shu didn't say a word. He took out a cotton swab for disinfection from the plastic bag that Xia Miao was holding, dipped it in the medicine, and applied it to the broken skin on the back of his hand.
"Hey, let me do it, let me do it." Xia Miao rushed over, and when she grabbed He Shu's fingers, her little heart was beating so fast that it seemed like it was about to jump out.
He Shu's fingers are so beautiful, thin and long, and every nail is trimmed cleanly and neatly.
Xia Miao applied medicine on He Shu, and her own face started to feel hot.
She quietly raised her head to glance at He Shu and then quickly lowered her head. Looking at He Shu from such a close distance, his eyelashes were so long and his eyes were so beautiful...
He Shu's injuries were not serious. They were all half-grown children, so they didn't hit him so hard. When the nosebleed stopped, He Shu packed up his things, looked at Xia Miao who was shying away, and finally spoke.
"It's getting late."
"Ah?" Xia Miao raised her red little face blankly, blinking at He Shu, not yet coming to her senses.
"Oh, it's getting dark. I have to leave. My parents will be worried soon. Bye, He Shu, and see you tomorrow." Xia Miao came to her senses and hurriedly put on her schoolbag and ran away.
He Shu closed the door and walked to the balcony. In the dim twilight, he saw the slender figure running out of the corridor. Her two braids were swinging in the air like two little wings.
The next day , before Xia Miao could speak up for He Shu and file a complaint, He Shu was sued.
Lai Huaguang's mother brought Lai Huaguang, who had panda eyes, to the school early in the morning. She made a big scene in the principal's office and then went to the teacher's office, in front of six or seven teachers, to take off Lai Huaguang's clothes over and over again, showing the bruises on Lai Huaguang's body.
When He Shu was called to the office, Lai Huaguang's mother almost put her finger on Teacher Li Mei's face because Li Mei spoke for He Shu.
The principal asked He Shu to call the parents as well. Li Mei, who knew the situation, had to stand up again and explain it to the principal.
Upon learning that He Shu's mother had just passed away and his father had remarried and ignored him, the principal's heart leaned towards He Shu. Moreover, because He Shu had fair skin, the scars on his face were more obvious. It was obvious that this was not a one-sided fight, and it was unclear who was bullying whom.
You can't bully the child without parents just because one child has parents and the other doesn't, right?
When Lai Huaguang's mother heard the principal and the teacher advise her not to take the fight too seriously and that He Shu was also injured, she was completely furious.
"He's injured? Were those scratches on his face caused by my son? Do you think I don't know? He was injured by his stepmother."
"What kind of child is this? What kind of child is my son? My son gets first place in the exam every year. How can a kid like him who has no one to take care of him compare to him?"
Li Mei's face darkened when she heard this: "Lai Huaguang's mother, please be careful with your words. They are just children. It's just a fight between boys. It's best for adults not to get involved."
"Teacher Li, you are their class teacher. If the students' grades improve, you will also benefit, right? How can such a poor student compare with my son? He will be a migrant worker in the future and can't even get into high school! You speak for such a student?"
Li Mei's face turned pale with anger: "Lai Huaguang's mother, your son's grades are very good, but we educate students not only to teach knowledge, but also to teach them moral character. What happened yesterday was that Lai Huaguang brought several boys from the class to He Shu's home and beat He Shu.
In this matter, I think if we must judge who is right and who is wrong, Lai Huaguang was at fault first. And He Shu's grades are not that bad, so there is no problem for him to get into high school."
"Principal, did you hear that? Ah, this is the class teacher, this is the brat's mother, is she so biased? I just asked that tree whether he did anything. If he didn't, then it's my son's fault. My son was also injured. How can you say it's my son's fault? Oh my God, you are too bullying."
Li Mei was also angry, but she was a teacher and could not throw a tantrum like Lai Huaguang's mother. She could only hold her anger and follow the principal to persuade the students kindly.
Lai Huaguang's mother made a fuss at school for the whole morning, but Lai Huaguang finally felt too embarrassed and lost his temper before he persuaded his mother to go back.
But the matter has already become public. Some people are making fun of Lai Huaguang for having a shrewish mother, while others are making fun of He Shu. In short, there is no winner in this matter.
Li Mei is a good teacher. She asked Xia Miao, who saw everything from beginning to end yesterday, and got everything cleared up.
"I don't blame you for this, but you are also wrong."
Seeing He Shu looking up at her, Li Mei continued, "They hit you, why didn't you run? Can you beat them alone? Even if it's one on one, both of you will get hurt. Next time you encounter something like this, run away first. Safety is the most important thing. Then tell...tell the teacher."
Li Mei wanted to tell her parents, but then she thought of how He Shu's mother looked before she died. She felt sad and looked at He Shu with pity.
Other children would go to adults to complain when they couldn’t win, but he didn’t run away. Is it because he has no one to protect him?
Today, Lai Huaguang's mother came to make a fuss, but the child didn't say a word from beginning to end. He must have been very envious of Lai Huaguang in his heart.
Li Mei got married late, and because of her work, she has not had children yet. She thinks that if she has a child in the future, she will feel very uncomfortable when she sees him being bullied.
If He Shu's mother knew that her child was being bullied and had no one to talk to, she would probably be upset in heaven.
Thinking of this, Teacher Li Mei's eyes turned red: "He Shu, if someone bullies you in the future, remember to tell the teacher, and the teacher will definitely help you!"
