Chapter 6 Plan

Chapter 6 Plan

Tarasha did not return to the hotel that Selsi opened for her at night, but found another one. She was not confident in handing her position to a stranger.

As the night gradually faded and dawn broke in the east, the doors of the shops were opened one after another. The light through the leaves flickered, leaving traces of time on the boss's face.

Life is hard, but it has to go on day after day.

When Tarasha came to this commercial street, it was already bustling with noise.

Tarasha found what she needed and saw a dwarf shouting to two merchants about the treasures he had found from the underground, and a beggar kneeling at the door of the bakery begging for some food.

Tarasha crossed a small ditch, which was the intersection of poverty and wealth. This ditch separated the rich and the poor. It could be crossed with one foot, but it was a deep ravine that could not be reached.

Tarasha found a tavern. The place where poverty and wealth are closest may only be in the tavern.

The rich drank a cocktail to find elegance, and the poor relied on a glass of muddy wine to relieve the day's sorrows.

There are all kinds of people here, and it's the best place to get information.

Tarasha ordered a glass of low-proof fruit wine, sat on a high chair and sipped it, listening to other people's gossip.

She knew her current geographical location, which was in the south of the Alcanis Empire, while Atherton was in the north of the empire.

She was thinking about going back, but she started to get close to the bartender.

"Hey, has anything interesting happened recently?" She asked lazily with her chin propped up.

"Well, there's nothing interesting recently. Oh! I remember that there seemed to be a bard yesterday. Hey, speaking of this, why wasn't it ours? It is said that her stories and odes are excellent. It's a pity for the old ghost next door."

The bartender was very excited when he talked about this. You know, if a bard came to the tavern to sing, how much traffic would it attract, especially if this bard was very famous.

Tarasha listened to the bartender's mumbling, wondering if it could be her.

After getting close to the bartender, Tarasha approached quietly when no one was paying attention and told him her real purpose.

"Do you know where the underground market is?"

The bartender's face changed after hearing this. He looked at the woman in front of him warily without answering.

The underground market is actually the black market here, where many things that are difficult to buy in the market are sold, including those prohibited by law.

Therefore, the underground market is expressly prohibited by the king.

He didn't know if the woman in front of him was a sheriff who was visiting incognito.

Tarasha knew his concerns, and handed the two gold coins to the bartender with her palm pressed on her palm, half of her palm slightly turned outward, revealing a little golden color to him.

When the bartender saw the things in the woman's hand, he hurriedly pulled the things into his own hand. He covered the gold coins tightly with both hands, humming a little song on his face to show that he was very relaxed now, but actually looked around with his eyes, fearing that someone would notice this. After

finding that no one cared about him, he quickly put one of the two gold coins into his pocket and held the other tightly in his palm. He turned to face the corner with few people, lowered his head and held the gold coin in front of him to carefully observe its pattern, stroked it with his hands, knocked it against his ears to listen to its sound, bit it with his teeth, and did the same with the other one.

After confirming that it was real, he put the gold coin in his trouser pocket. He turned around and told the woman the location she wanted with a smile.

His eyes looked around vigilantly, and finally whispered to her the entrance to the underground field.

After getting the answer, Tarasha turned around and left. Only then did she have the mind to appreciate the surrounding scenery.

It was surprising to find that whether it was a shop in the rich area or a shop in the poor area, many doors were hung with the emblem of the Wanderer Guild.

The members of the Wanderer Guild yearn for freedom, have no place to settle, and travel around the world.

To put it nicely, the members are travelers who wander around the world, and to put it bluntly, they are wanderers with some skills.

But she didn't expect that the power of this wanderer guild was so vast. It's not that all these pawnshops belonged to the Wanderer Guild - some shops would seek the protection of the guild, but they were not affiliated with the guild, but they had to accept some of the guild's control.

She had seen the emblem of the Wanderer Guild in many places in Arthurton, but she didn't expect that there were traces of them in such a remote place. They

could control so many shops and still be in order. The power behind them must be extraordinary.

Before going to the entrance of the underground, Tarasha bought a mask to cover her face. She had to do something that she didn't want to be seen.

The underground was built underground as the name suggests. Before entering, Tarasha paid a gold coin entrance fee.

The entrance was narrow at the beginning, and only one person could pass through. After walking a few dozen steps, it suddenly opened up.

Tarasha blended into the crowd as freely as a fish in water.

This was not her first time to enter the underground. During the time when she crawled out of the Shadow Abyss, she had been taking assassination missions in the underground city. This was the most dangerous way, but it was also the fastest way to accumulate capital.

Passing through a row of cages, half-naked orcs were imprisoned in the cages. Their pupils were dilated in despair, staring numbly at the people passing by, wondering if the next one would be his future master.

Tarasha felt that these had nothing to do with her, and she quickly found the bounty shop, where people were accepting bounties and collecting bounties.

Tarasha came to the bounty column and took a fancy to a task "Assassinating Earl Macas" at a glance .

"Who is so bold to assassinate the lord here?"

Tarasha saw the bounty under the image, 100,000 gold coins.

This is not a small amount.

Tarasha reached out and tore off the bounty order.

Selsie was resting in the hotel today. When she was lying on the bed and emptying her mind, she heard a knock on the window.

She turned her head and looked at it, and after a while, she slowly got out of bed and opened the window.

Outside the window was a carrier pigeon. Most of the carrier pigeons here were specially raised by the post office. The magician cast a positioning magic to find the recipient. Most people sent mail through the post office. A few great nobles have private magicians in their homes, and all matters related to magic depend on them.

Selsey is accustomed to the carrier pigeons that come to her from time to time.

Seeing that Selsey did not respond, the carrier pigeon cooed and raised its foot to signal her to receive the letter.

Selsey lowered her head to untie the letter tied to her foot. When she opened the letter, it turned out to be an invitation letter from Earl McCarty. He sincerely invited Evangeline to come to his banquet and compose poems for him.

Selsey thought about it. McCarty was not a good lord. He was licentious, tyrannical and cruel. It was impossible for her to write poems to praise him.

But...

the pen was in her hand, and how she wrote was her business.

She picked up the pen and wrote back to Earl McCarty.
