Chapter 5 Separation
Chapter 5: Parting
The journey was much safer afterwards. After finding that there were no outsiders, the dense forest resumed its preferential treatment for the blessed.
The journey that would have taken several days was reduced to half an hour.
After leaving the Forest of Oblivion, seeing that Selsi was still carrying her into the town, Tarasha immediately called for a stop.
"Put me down, put me down and I can walk by myself."
She struggled to get off Selsi.
But she forgot that she was still injured, and she bent down in pain as soon as her feet touched the ground.
"Hiss,"
Selsi wanted to step forward to help, but was rejected by the hand in front of her.
"No, I can do it myself."
Tarasha was very determined not to let her get close, even though she had been carrying her all the way here.
Selsi looked at Tarasha's face twisted in pain on the ground, but didn't know how to help her.
She herself was also in a mess, and her originally gorgeous clothes became wrinkled and tattered. There were also cuts on her body caused by thorns or branches. Tarasha's injury was more serious, and she also had injuries from close combat.
While Selsi was hesitating whether to go forward to help, Tarasha stood up crookedly.
"Didn't you say that you wanted me to forget what happened before? Come on, how do you do it?"
Tarasha stood up and asked to fulfill the contract.
"Put this bracelet on your hand, and you will forget it."
Selsi took out the bracelet, took Tarasha's hand and put it in.
The bracelet melted into Tarasha's skin like an ice cube, and Tarasha suddenly felt a blur in her mind. She had forgotten what happened before, and only remembered that she accidentally entered here and escaped after a narrow escape. As for what happened specifically, she didn't know anything.
When she woke up, she found that Selsi was still looking at her with a worried look on her face. She didn't understand why she was so concerned about a stranger, but it was not her business.
She took out a mask and put it on her face, and her appearance changed in an instant. The original heterochromatic eyes turned into a deep emerald color, and the black long hair gradually turned silver-white, but the face shape remained unchanged, still so handsome and cold.
Selsie was a little surprised. As far as she knew, human skin masks were considered banned items and were not generally available on the market.
"Since the contract has been completed, let's go our separate ways."
Talsha frowned. She didn't like the other party's naked and passionate eyes.
She knew that the empire had a strong crackdown on these banned items, but she was not worried that the other party would report her. As long as she had this intention, she would not let her live. But not worrying did not mean not minding the other party's sight. Her hand slowly placed on the dagger at her side.
As for why she didn't find a deserted place to change her appearance, the other party was a bard! God knows if she would sing this experience! The time has not come yet, and she doesn't want to have any possibility of being exposed. She just wanted to see her attitude. If she insisted, she would use coercive means to help her. The amnesiac
Selsi also knew that she was a little out of control and could easily cause misunderstandings. She adjusted her state immediately.
"Don't worry, I won't say anything. It's not good for me, right? And you really don't need me to take you to the town?"
Tarasha thought so too. After hearing the last word, she suspected that there was a trick. Selsi got a negative answer.
Tarasha turned around and left, but she fainted before she took a few steps.
Selsi rushed to catch her again and found that she was just unconscious.
"See, I said I'm still useful."
She picked up the unconscious Tarasha and walked towards the town.
When Tarasha got up, she found herself lying on the bed, and the wounds on her body had been bandaged.
She looked around and found that this should be a hotel.
The door was pushed open. Tarasha looked over in the direction of the voice and saw Selsi who had changed into another gorgeous dress, and she had the scarf around her neck.
"You're awake, come and eat something."
It was only then that Tarasha saw that she was still holding food in her hand.
Selsi approached and said, "You've been unconscious for six hours, and it's already 11 o'clock in the evening."
Tarasha couldn't believe that she had been unconscious for so long.
But looking at the sky outside the window, she knew it was true.
Selsi opened all the food packages, turned around and said to her, "I put the medicine you need to change on the bedside. I know you don't like me, so let's go our separate ways."
Without getting Tarasha's reply, she took it as a tacit agreement and slowly left the room.
Tarasha was still sitting on the bed in a daze. She looked at the medicine on the bedside and found that there were some clothes underneath. She took out the clothes and found that they were all clothes that fit her.
It should be that they measured her body shape while she was unconscious. When she thought about herself unconscious and being manipulated by others, she felt a chill. But judging from the current situation, this is indeed what she needs.
She didn't know why the other party was so good to her. Her brain was working at high speed, but her stomach began to protest.
Tarasha put down her clothes and walked to the table. It was most important to take care of her body first. Looking at the delicious meal, she hesitated. What if this was the other party's sugar-coated bullet? The meal might be poisonous. She couldn't believe that there would be people in this world who would be nice to a stranger for no reason.
In the end, she didn't eat the meal, and she went downstairs with difficulty without changing her clothes. Fortunately, her purse didn't fall. She planned to find something to eat by herself.
She thought of her friend's betrayal in the past, and hypnotized herself that she was the only one she could rely on in this world.
Selsi didn't know Tarasha's mental process. After sending Tarasha to the hotel and packing everything, she began to look for her own business. Fortunately, there were her spare clothes and money in the magic bag around her waist.
Otherwise, it would be difficult for her to get a room and buy medicine. Even such a ragged dress would make others doubt what she had done.
When Tarasha was unconscious, she wandered around the town and found a hotel run by the Wanderer Guild. With her identity, she quickly got a place as a resident singer in the bar. She
made a lot of money singing for a few hours in the afternoon.
But she heard that she could make more money working the night shift, so she came here again. Although she didn't care much about money, it didn't mean she had to have no money. Some money was still important. Like this time, she had almost spent all the money she had. If she didn't make some money, she might not be able to deal with it if she encountered such a thing again.
