Chapter 11 Someone’s dead!
I followed Boss Jin's car all the way to his villa.
For a country boy like me, it's not surprising to have the whole house to myself.
What attracted me mainly was the decoration inside.
There are not only KTV boxes, small bars, stages and various entertainment facilities, but also gyms, swimming pools and libraries.
Although the space of each facility is not large, it is fully equipped and the home is like a small city.
"Welcome home, sir."
We got out of the black Audi and a butler opened the door for us.
The butler's attitude was so respectful that I, who came back with Boss Jin, also felt elated.
"This is our villa. Come with me and I will take you to the living room."
Boss Jin said this and led a few of us inside.
As he walked, he asked the butler to serve us tea and water.
I couldn't help but look up. The villa looked so grand, just like a palace.
For the first time, I remembered how good it felt to make money, especially the roll of red bills in my pocket, which made me feel more at ease.
But if I want to get this palace, I don’t know how many rolls of this kind of banknotes I will need.
After entering Boss Jin’s house, I sat quietly on the sofa in the living room.
All along, it was my cousin who was chatting with Boss Jin, and Dong Jing and I could only wait on the side.
When the servants in Boss Jin's house saw the guests coming in, they started to busy themselves in the kitchen.
After a while, I could smell the fragrance coming from the kitchen.
My stomach growled, or maybe it was too loud, and all three of them turned around and looked at me.
Boss Jin smiled and said, "It seems that Wen Jie is hungry. Let's go eat something first. You must be tired after a busy day. Eat something to replenish your energy. I will take you to the hot spring area in the villa to take a bath later."
When I heard Boss Jin's words, my eyes lit up.
Whether or not to go to the hot spring is secondary. I just want to eat now.
I had just sat down and hadn't taken a few bites of food when I heard the sound of glass breaking coming from the second floor.
I shifted my gaze to Boss Jin with a bit of confusion, and he smiled at us apologetically.
"My daughter and I are similar to you. We have been spoiled at home since we were young, and have developed a princess-like temper. Sometimes when we are unhappy, we will indeed smash things. The servants have already gone up to check, you can eat first, don't worry about her."
After hearing Boss Jin's explanation, we stopped asking questions.
"ah!!"
Suddenly a woman's scream came from the second floor.
My cousin and I looked at each other and for a moment we didn't know what to do.
Boss Jin was obviously a little annoyed. He frowned and turned to look at the butler next to him: "Let's go upstairs and see what's going on! I finally brought guests back for a meal, and all they did was this! Keep quiet upstairs!"
When the butler heard Boss Jin 's instructions, he bowed respectfully and went upstairs.
Not long after, the butler came running down from the second floor.
As he ran, he shouted, "Master, something bad has happened! Madam, she's gone!"
What?!
We always thought that the person upstairs was Boss Jin's daughter, but we didn't expect it to be Mrs. Jin.
As soon as Boss Jin heard that Mrs. Jin was in trouble, he rushed over.
Naturally, we followed to see what had happened to Mrs. Jin.
The housekeeper followed Boss Jin and took us to the room where Mrs. Jin had the accident, while calling the police behind them.
When we arrived, Mrs. King was lying on the ground.
She looked very peaceful, without a trace of pain on her face.
We were afraid of ruining the scene, so no one dared to get close to Mrs. Jin.
Only the family doctor in the villa approached her to make sure whether had passed away.
After repeated confirmation from the family doctor, we received the news that Mrs. Jin had passed away.
Not long after, several police cars stopped at the door of the villa and the police arrived.
"Can the owner of this villa please come with me? I need to take a statement. Also, those who were in the villa just now are not allowed to move around. Also, whoever first discovered the body, please come with me."
Under the command of the police, we separated the three groups.
As the head of the household, Boss Jin naturally had to follow the police to the side to take a statement.
The housekeeper and servants also went aside and told the police what had happened.
My cousin, Dong Jing and I sat in the living room waiting for them to finish their business.
The forensic doctor and others arrived at the scene very quickly.
I thought it would be like in TV dramas, where the body would be carried back for an autopsy and relevant information such as fingerprints would be collected at the original crime scene.
But I didn't expect that the forensic doctor would do a lot of work on the spot, drawing blood and doing tests. He took the blood from the family doctor's office and did his tests. In less than two hours, the forensic doctor had the results.
"Mrs. Jin died suddenly. There is no poison in her blood. I just checked her liver temperature. The time of death is consistent. There is nothing abnormal."
With the forensic doctor's words, the police felt relieved. After filing a brief case, they left the Jin family.
Seeing that we had been busy all night and this incident happened again in the morning, Boss Jin arranged a room for us and let us rest for a while and stay for dinner before leaving.
After knowing that Boss Jin's wife had died, he must have been in a bad mood. After all, she was his wife through thick and thin.
Besides, someone died in his family, so he must have a lot of things to deal with, and he probably won’t have the time to pay attention to us for the time being.
So we had no choice but to follow his arrangements and stay at his house until dinner time before leaving.
Our room was on the second floor, right next to the room where Mrs. Jin died.
When I passed by Mrs. Jin's room, I smelled a strange fragrance.
The incense smells like sandalwood, but also like the incense we burn in temples.
Out of curiosity, I stopped and walked into the room.
In fact, we have been to this room just now, and we could only see the living room part of the room.
There is a small room inside the room, with an altar on which a statue of god is enshrined.
But I have never seen this statue before, and it is definitely not the ones worshipped in temples.
I don’t know why, but my scalp goes tingling when I see this statue.
Although the statue's eyes are lifeless, after looking at it for a long time, I can feel that he is staring at me.
Being stared at by him like that, I felt uncomfortable all over, so I had no choice but to leave Mrs. Jin's room and return to the bedroom that Boss Jin had arranged for me.
"Isn't it just playing around? Why are you so late?" My cousin saw me when he came out of his room and asked a little puzzled.
I shook my head and didn't answer him.
