Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 524 Assembly
"Where is your master?"
Lily didn't try to be tactful at all. She stared into Selwyn's eyes and asked directly.
Selwyn avoided her gaze.
"No one knows where the master is! I haven't even received any news that the master has returned! Has he really returned?"
"Crucio."
The unforgivable curse hit Selwyn's fat wife, and she rolled on the ground in pain like a fat pig waiting to be slaughtered.
Lily seldom used the Unforgivable Curse anymore. Ever since she killed Snape, she had been controlling her emotions. But she also knew the importance of coming to this world this time. The gentle thoughts after meeting Harry did not let her sink. She knew very well that her comrades in another world were still struggling. They must finish the things in this world as soon as possible and then go back.
Selwyn's eyes were filled with fear. He was a pampered fence-sitter who would do anything for his own enjoyment and the interests of his family. But now under Lily's coercion and inducement, he could not hold on for much longer.
"I'm not lying! The master has never contacted us directly! He never really trusted me! All the orders he gave were passed to us through Peter! I don't know where he is now!"
He screamed, telling everything he knew.
Lily still looked at him indifferently.
"What does he want you to do?"
"He just asked Peter to ask me if I had forgotten my loyalty to him. I said I had never forgotten my master, so he asked me to prepare a sum of money and wait for my master's orders."
"What if you want to contact him?"
"Peter was the only one who contacted me! He didn't give me any channels to contact him."
"Did you know about the Azkaban breakout?"
"No! I only found out about them all running away after reading the newspaper!"
Lily had asked all the questions she wanted to ask, then she stood up from her chair and handed Selwyn a bottle.
"Give me the memory of Wormtail looking for you."
Of course Selwyn had no room for refusal. He tremblingly pulled out a silver thread from his mind, and then put it into the bottle in front of Lily.
Lily put the bottle away, turned and walked towards the fireplace, leaving behind her last words.
"If Wormtail comes looking for you next time, you should know what to do."
Selwyn agreed meekly, but he didn't agree at all in his heart. He thought that Lily would definitely not give up the little thing in her hand easily. He could just agree to both sides first and wait and see if Voldemort really returned as a king. If it was just thunder without rain, then he could just be a good pure-blood who set things right and turned back.
Just as he was thinking this and Lily was about to sprinkle Floo powder into the fireplace, the fireplace, which had been extinguished long ago in the summer and the ashes had been cleaned up, suddenly burst into green flames!
Lily reacted instantly. She made a prompt decision and pointed her wand at Selwyn, who was still standing there in a daze, before the green fire could completely form a human face.
"The soul is out of the body!"
The next second, Selwyn became Lily's puppet. His tortured wife, who was covered in sweat, was completely stunned. After controlling Selwyn, Lily pointed her wand at her, signaling her to leave the living room immediately.
At this time, the green fire in the fireplace had completely taken shape, and a man who looked like a fat rat appeared in it.
He scanned the surroundings with his green bean-like eyes, and only after making sure that there was no one else around did he look at Selwyn, who was behaving as usual.
"I'm sure you've seen the news, Atlan."
Selwyn said with a normal look.
"It's such a big deal, even if I don't want to know it, it's hard. You actually rescued everyone from Azkaban."
"There is nothing we can't do under the master's leadership." Wormtail's voice sounded very proud, "Now that our people have been gathered, the master needs to summon you to restart his great cause!"
"Really? That's great! When can I meet the master?"
"Tomorrow night, at the place where the Dark Mark is lit in the Ryford Valley in Devon, the master will summon you there."
"I remember that. Will everyone else be here too?"
"Humph, some people who have forgotten their loyalty will certainly not come. At that time, the master will understand who are his true loyal followers."
After Wormtail finished speaking, the flames in the fireplace completely died out. Apparently, he had completed his task and ended the conversation.
Lily had never thought that she would have such a huge harvest today. She did not remove the Imperius Curse on Selwyn immediately. Now that she knew about this, she certainly could not let him go easily. She had to keep an eye on him at least until tomorrow night.
Lily immediately made a decision and ordered Selwyn to Apparate to the Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade.
Aberforth's identity was certainly no secret to Lily and Jon, and the other members of the Selwyn family were also under her control, and they would be released after tomorrow night.
After everything was settled, Lily immediately returned to Hogwarts and found Dumbledore, who was still studying with John in the Room of Requirement, and told him exactly what had happened to her that night.
"This is a good opportunity." Dumbledore's tone was filled with joy. "Riddle with only one Horcrux would not be as powerful as he really is. He has no way to break through the limitations of the Horcrux. Even if he appears to be very strong, as long as the golden cup is destroyed, he will not be able to survive."
"And we can take this opportunity to catch all the hidden Death Eaters in the wizarding world." John also said. He looked smaller again. He had grown back to the age of eleven or twelve with the passage of time, but now he was eight years old again.
"Over at the Ministry of Magic, Professor Dumbledore, can you get some support?"
"If Fudge is still the Minister of Magic, I am not sure, but this year Rufus Scrimgeour took office. Although some of his actions are extreme, his determination to fight against Riddle has never faded. I can contact the Aurors."
This world didn't know which line of Voldemort's was deflected, and Fudge retired from the position of minister early this year. This was of course the best thing for John and the others.
