Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 511 Gaunt's House
Jon did not leave the locket alone.
He used the Phoenix's Apparition to return to Hogwarts directly, then found Dumbledore and placed the locket in front of his desk.
Dumbledore was not surprised that John's trip went smoothly. He just stared at John with a strange look who just appeared in his office .
"Even though I've seen this, I still can't believe it. There are actually people whose Animagus can transform into a magical animal, especially a phoenix."

"Is my mother back? Professor Dumbledore!"

"Can I join you? I'd like to learn a little more about my mom from Jon."
