Volume 4: The Sea and the Ship Heading North Chapter 194 Escape

Jon closed the diary and said solemnly.
"This diary is very important. Our trip to Azkaban was not in vain."
The contents recorded in the notebook, especially the last three pages of the diary, at least allowed Jon to confirm it from the most obvious point.
In this world, Voldemort's Horcruxes no longer exist.
The "1/5" written on the back of the book cover is his record of returning to his original completeness.
The diary was the beginning of his creation of the Horcrux, and also the beginning of his transformation back to himself.
And the four relics that John saw in the headmaster's office at Hogwarts before, probably like the diary, the residual souls attached to them have returned to Voldemort and completed his soul.
That’s why “Mr. Great” is in such a rational state now and has achieved what he has today.
Of course, the return of his soul would only make him more clear-headed and more thoughtful in doing things, but it would not bring any enhancement to his own strength.
It is even possible that his black magic will regress because that crazy emotion is gone.
Therefore, Voldemort was able to achieve his current status partly because of the recall of the Horcruxes, but the most important thing is why he could become so powerful without the Horcruxes, which is really incredible.
The power of the soul recorded in the diary made Jon think of a lot.
For example, himself.
When Slughorn was giving private lessons in the first year, the Fat Walrus once said that his willpower was far beyond that of ordinary people. In layman's terms, it can also be said that his soul is stronger than that of a normal wizard.
As for why he was particularly powerful in spirit, Jon naturally knew it very well.
This is most likely related to the fact that he traveled through time. After all, his soul was not native to this world.
And why did the Dark Lord do that?
Was he also possessed by a time traveler?
This possibility is very small, because the current Voldemort seems to have no understanding of the plot of the original work, otherwise he would not have failed to obtain the Marauder's Map, and would not have allowed Sirius to be arrested and thrown into Azkaban so that he could join forces with Lupin to carry out a large-scale prison escape plan.
Of course, no matter how famous , there are definitely many people who have not read it and do not understand it. The person who traveled through time and space to become Voldemort might be such a person.
However, if we follow the thoughts and ideas of a Muggle who has received modern education, regardless of whether he would come up with such an extremely inferior slavery rule, even if he is a very evil person, he should first consider taking control of the entire Muggle society in the UK. After all, Muggles are best familiar with Muggles.
The most crucial thing is that the last three pages of the diary were obviously written in the first few days of the month when Voldemort had just successfully killed Harry Potter and was missing.
If there really was a soul that traveled through time and space and was competing with him for the control of his body, then there should have been only a few words left in this diary. In the end, he would not have kept it, and it would have been safest and most reliable to destroy it directly.
The addresses in those words are clearly from Voldemort's own first-person perspective, which further denies the existence of two different souls in him.
Compared to the time traveler's speculation, John felt that Voldemort might really be schizophrenic.
When killing Harry Potter, some unexpected things happened that shouldn't have happened, which caused problems for him.
As for where the strength of the soul comes from, the voyage of the Hogwarts has not yet reached the point. Perhaps the next journey will bring Jon the answer.
However, before he and Fred could move on, they had to face the most difficult problem they were facing today.
So how on earth are they supposed to get out?
After putting the diary away and thoroughly checking the underground secret room for the last time to make sure there was nothing else of value, Jon and Fred returned to the cellar.
The dark green spider-web-like chain was still there. Dozens of Dementors were still floating in the corridor outside the entrance, as if they were waiting until the magic of the blockade disappeared, and then rushed in to completely suck John and the others dry.
"Waiting like this is not a solution."
He searched the entire cellar again but found no other exits. John even tried to blow up the gray-looking wall with an explosive spell, but there was no trace left except darkness.
He frowned and looked at the gloomy monsters outside the entrance.
"George and Neville don't know what's going on with us here yet. And Nick is watching over Scabior, but the coma spell will only last until tonight at most. He can't use magic. Once Scabior wakes up, it will be bad news."
"Besides, we don't know how long this magic that seals off the Dementors will last. We can't put all our hopes on it."
Fred drew out his wand with a determined look.
"I actually have a way. You know the Patronus Charm. Even though you can't summon a Patronus, it can at least make these Dementors feel afraid. I can rush out first and tie up some of the Dementors for you. This way, you will have a better chance of escaping this prison."
Jon's frown deepened.
"Are you serious?"
"Of course I'm serious." Fred changed his usual playful smile and said with a serious expression, "You are the captain. George and the others need you to go back and lead them to continue sailing. That Auror also needs you to control him."
"What are you going to do?"
"Don't worry. Even if I can't escape in the end, I won't die. These Dementors will definitely capture me and wait for the Ministry of Magic to interrogate my identity. I will erase my memory before being captured and won't provide them with any useful clues."
He shrugged and laughed.
"After that, I can sleep peacefully here and wait for you to save me in the future. It's easy, isn't it?"
Jon glared at him darkly.
"You usually like to joke around, so I'm also making fun of what you just said, even though it's not funny. Remember what I knew I said to you?"
Fred looked confused.
"What?"
"Don't think about exchanging your life for another's. Each of our lives is precious. No matter what kind of exchange you make, it's not worth it."
Jon turned to look at the Dementors, his eyes narrowed.
"You said I'm the captain, so you should listen to me. I have a plan that's almost the same as what you said, but it doesn't require any lives."
He pointed to the leader of the Dementors, floating motionless, facing them, just outside the entrance.
"Do you think it hates me more or you more?"
