Volume 4: The Sea and the Ship Heading North Chapter 170 Ghost Guide
It's not just the little captain.
Below deck, other ghosts followed him and floated out.
These ghosts were obviously dressed as sailors, each holding a weapon in their hands and looking ferocious, as if they were really preparing to rob Jon and his ship.
"Hand over the treasure! Little guys!" The little captain waved his saber, which was half his height long, and the parrot standing on his shoulder screamed, "Captain Jack only wants money, not life!"
Following Captain Jack, the vicious ghost sailors also shouted.
"Hand over the treasure! I will spare your life!"
Jon, George, Neville and the other two looked at each other.
There was no panic or fear on Gabrielle's face. Instead, she excitedly floated to the same side as the pirate ghost and shouted happily.
"Hand over the treasure! I will spare your life!"
She treated this like a role-playing game.
To be honest, when the ghost ship sailed towards them, it looked really scary, but after seeing these ghosts stand up, Jon and the others felt that it was more like a farce.
Even if ghosts still exist in the world of the living, they can no longer have any substantial impact on reality. At most, they can only scare ignorant wizards or Muggles.
But whether it is Jon, George or Neville, they are not ignorant people.
These ghost pirates may look scary, but they can't actually do anything.
Jon asked tentatively.
"Well...Excuse me, Captain Jack, what kind of treasure do you need?"
"You are indeed a young brat!" The little captain raised his head proudly, and the parrot on his shoulder also said proudly at the right time, "Of course we only want gold, silver and jewelry!"
"Excuse me, Captain, even if we have gold, silver and jewels to give you, your ship can't take them away."
Captain Jack was furious, and the parrot on his shoulder seemed to be jumping with anger.
"How can you talk like that! Are you insulting Captain Jack?"
Jon was speechless. He increasingly felt that these ghost pirates were just wandering around on the sea with nothing to do, so they came specifically to have fun with them.
Just as Captain Jack was angrily waving the long sword in his hand, which had no way of causing any harm to John and the others, a helpless voice came from below the deck.
"Drake, stop messing around and don't forget your agreement with Dumbledore."
Another ghost floated up from under the deck. He had silver curly hair and looked middle-aged when he died. He was wearing a robe like a medieval noble.
The last ghost that floated up was very different from the previous pirate ghosts just by looking at its attire.
He had a kind face, and when he saw Jon and the other three, he nodded at them in a friendly manner.
It was just a terrifying scene that happened.
Maybe it was because he nodded too hard, but his head suddenly tilted from his neck, leaving only a little bit of skin barely connecting his identity together!
This scene shocked Jon and the others so much that they took a step back. They could only hear the ghost, whose head almost fell off his neck, straightened his head again and continued to apologize.
"Ah, I'm so sorry, but I think you can understand. The executioner who executed me didn't control the strength well, so my head was not completely chopped off. This also bothered me a lot. It was because of this that I could never join the Headless Knights."
He kept on talking and looked like a chatterbox.
Captain Jack seemed very dissatisfied with the ghost who appeared later and whose style was completely different from theirs. The parrot that kept jumping screamed.
"Stupid Nicholas! You ruined Captain Jack's plan! You have to compensate for all the gold, silver and treasures that were not taken from the ship!"
"Hey! Stop being a joke here, Drake. Today is the day for you to complete your mission. Didn't you just want to find a place to celebrate the festival? Actually, this place is not bad."
The headless ghost named Nicholas looked around the Hogwarts with a relaxed look on his face. He twisted his neck so much that people were worried that his head would fall off his neck again in the next second.
Jon heard the conversation between the ghost and Captain . He looked at the headless ghost with a strange expression and asked.
"You know Dumbledore, sir?"
"Although I prefer to be called Sir Nicholas, people more affectionately call me Nick."
He introduced himself, and Jon finally realized who he was.
The head with only a little flesh and skin left chopped off, Sir Nicholas, Almost Headless Nick, this is none other than the Gryffindor garrison ghost in the original Hogwarts book - Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington!
When John was lurking in the castle, he had actually been wondering where all the ghosts in Hogwarts had gone.
He did not see them in the carriage nor in the castle, but unexpectedly he saw one of them now that he had left British territory.
George's eyes widened when he heard Nick introduce himself. He had obviously heard of this name too.
"I seem to have heard of you. Bill told me that when he first entered Hogwarts Castle and had not yet been exiled on the carriage, there was a ghost in Gryffindor called 'Almost Headless Nick'!"
Nick seemed not at all satisfied with George's address, and he said it somewhat self-deprecatingly.
"Well, I knew that someone would always remember this nickname! I've been away from that castle for so long, but I didn't expect that I still haven't gotten rid of it!"
He muttered a few words, but he hadn't forgotten the main thing Jon had just asked about.
"As the red-haired boy said, I used to be the resident ghost of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but after the castle was occupied by people who shouldn't have occupied it, I left there. After all, there was no Gryffindor House anymore, so there was no need for me to stay there any longer."
"After I left, I traveled around the wizarding world for a while with Hufflepuff's resident ghost, the Fat Friar. But Dumbledore found me and wanted me to help him do something, so I joined Drake's fleet and drifted on the sea for many years. Then not long ago, Dumbledore wrote to me saying that you had already gone to sea, and specifically asked me to come find you and be your guide."
