Volume 4: The Sea and the Ship Heading North Chapter 169 Ghost Ship

Jon immediately asked all the students to hide in the cabin!
The moment he saw the pirate ship, he had a very bad premonition in his heart.
That's obviously not a modern ship.
The tattered long sail, which was glowing with a faint fluorescence and looked like a mirage, was printed with a skull emblem with a captain's hat. The hull was obviously made of wood, but the transparent illusion was filled with a sense of unreality.
It was like this ship wasn't from the human world, but a ghost ship...wandering in the realm of the living!
At the same time that the ghost pirate ship appeared in the eyes of Jon and his companions, the entire sea area where they were located was silently covered with white mist at some point.
The sound of the waves seemed to be absorbed by the white mist, and the entire sky was obscured, as if the Hogwarts was forcibly pulled into another quiet and dead world.
The ghost ship was obviously heading towards them. Its course had not changed at all since it appeared, and it was sailing straight towards Jon and the others.
There were only Jon George and Neville on the deck. They each held a monocular telescope in their hands, looking at the ghost ship that seemed to be some distance away from them, but was getting closer and closer at an unusual speed.
"That boat looks just like mine!"
A little girl's voice sounded above them.
Jon and the others looked up and saw Gabrielle returning from the cabin.
She was indeed right. The state of that ship looked exactly the same as hers. Both ships emitted a faint white fluorescence and looked transparent and unreal.
This further confirmed Jon and the others' existing guess that this was a ship with ghostly properties.
Jon turned to look at George and Neville.
"When you were at home, did you ever hear your family tell you about the legend of a ghost ship on the sea near England?"
George shook his head decisively.
"No, Mom and Dad never told us about these things, and neither did Bill and Charlie." He paused for a moment and thought for a moment, "Even the fairy tales about wizards that I read at home when I was a child did not contain any of these legends."
Neville took a deep breath.
"My father told me something similar. He told me that ghosts in the magic world are not just a bunch of scattered sand. They have died once, and will almost always exist in the world as ghosts in the future. Although ghosts do not have the various senses of living people and cannot touch entities, they still retain their emotions and memories before they died, so ghosts also have their own social circles."
"The most famous ghost organization in the UK is called the Headless Horsemen. It is an organization jointly organized by a group of ghosts whose heads were chopped off. The conditions for recruiting members are very strict. Only ghosts whose heads and bodies are completely separated are eligible. Many times they even use their own heads to play polo. But most ghosts think they are cool, so they have become the most well-known ghost organization."
"This proves that there must be similar ghost organizations, far more than just the Headless Knights. Think about it this way, the appearance of a ghost ship on the sea is not so strange, even though we have never heard of it."
Jon put down the telescope, but his expression did not relax. Instead, it became even more solemn.
"Are there any ghosts who have surrendered to the Ministry of Magic?"
His question made George and Neville stunned, but they both reacted quickly.
Neville said hesitantly.
"Perhaps there are ghosts who agree with the pure-blood ideology, but... no ghost would cooperate with the Ministry of Magic. After all, they are all dead. They became ghosts only because they still have unfulfilled attachment to the world of the living. It is rare to hear of ghosts getting involved in disputes among the living."
George also nodded.
"Ghosts that have died once cannot die again, so even the Dark Lord cannot use force to coerce them, and I have never heard of any department in the Ministry of Magic that has anything to do with ghosts."
What they both said made sense.
No one has the ability to drive the ghost to do anything, so which camp does the ghost ship that is sailing towards them now belong to?
Just like Neville said, it was just a maritime organization of the British ghosts? They saw their magic ship and came over to say hello?
Although Jon had doubts in his heart, he was not too worried. Normal ghost wizards could not cause any harm to them, and they were already dead and could not do anything to the wizards, except for the special case in Hogwarts Castle before - Peeves.
As they were talking, the ghost ship was already within reach .
Jon and his friends could even clearly see a cannon on the tattered deck of the ship facing them!
The ghost ship was getting closer and closer to them, and the front ends of the two ships were already showing signs of being about to collide, but neither the Hogwarts nor the other ship showed any intention of stopping.
The next second, the bows of the ships touched each other, but there was no sense of collision.
The ghost ship passed through the Hogwarts without any resistance and overlapped with the old wooden boat!
This overlap did not stop at the beginning of the contact, but continued to expand. Soon, the hull of the ghost ship passed through the bodies of John and the other three!
An unprecedented cold feeling spread throughout their bodies.
It was like a basin of cold water was poured over him from head to toe, and Jon couldn't help but shiver.
The overall hull of Hogwarts is slightly higher than that of the ghost ship. After the hulls of the two ships completely overlap, the cabin where the students are located is not covered by any ghost ship cabin and is still exposed.
Just as John and the other three were looking at the pirate ship that had completely overlapped with the Hogwarts and was moving forward together as the two ships merged into one, a sharp and rude voice suddenly came from below the deck!
"Little guys! Howl! You are surrounded by the great Captain Jack!"
As the words fell, a small ghost floated up from under the deck of the Hogwarts!
He was wearing a pirate hat with a skull tattoo on it. One foot was intact, while the other was supported by wood. His left hand was not healthy either, but an iron hook was put on the broken arm. There was a hideous scar on his face that ran diagonally across the bridge of his nose, and one of his eyes was covered by an eyepatch.
The threatening words to Jon and the others did not come from the mouth of this little ghost, but from the parrot standing on his shoulder, which was also illusory and transparent!
