Volume 4: The Cataclysm Chapter 49: Gemini Plane
"regret?"
"What do you regret? What happened?"
Marvin asked somewhat curiously.
Die's face looked very ugly.
This was unprecedented. In his impression, this wood elf had always been heartless and indifferent to everything.
Did something very unpleasant just happen?
However, Die did not answer him, but just said to herself: "I regret it..."
Immediately, her expression changed, and she actually looked a little fierce: "That red copper dragon is so cunning. It clearly knew that I was very curious, but it still used such a mysterious method!"
"I'm going to teach him a lesson!"
Marvin was startled.
Although he was used to the strange words coming out of Die's mouth, it would still be a bit difficult for an elf who was less than level three to deal with an ancient copper dragon, right?
Marvin thought to himself that this idea was euphemistic enough - what was a little difficult? It was clearly impossible, okay?
"Professor? What's wrong with him? Why am I getting more and more confused?"
Marvin asked with some concern.
Die still looked a little unhappy.
Her attention was finally focused on Marvin, and she said with a complicated expression: "I finally understand why you give me such a strange feeling."
"That damn guy actually just handed over the only thing he had left to someone so casually..."
"What's so good about you? You're greedy and cruel. You think you're resourceful, but you're actually a fool."
While she rolled her eyes and scolded Marvin, she gently reached out her hand and tried to touch Marvin's face.
Suddenly, her expression and demeanor became extremely gentle.
This action startled Marvin.
Is this a ghost?
What on earth is she talking about?
Ma Wen dodged backwards and shouted, "Hey! I'm not that easy-going, Miss Die, what's going on with you?"
Die was slightly stunned, and then murmured a little disappointedly: "Yes, you are not him after all."
She sighed, her face looking melancholy.
Somehow, this expression made Marvin feel unprecedentedly uncomfortable.
It's just like when I saw Eric disappearing, I said with regret: "I still miss her very much..."
The kind of speechless sadness that surges into one's heart is enough to drown a person's emotions in an instant.
By the time Marvin came to his senses, Die had already left.
But this time, she left in a way that made Marvin even more dumbfounded.
She pulled it casually, and a portal appeared!
"Hey, this is the underground temple..."
Marvin was just about to remind Die that the spatial force field here was very chaotic, and if one opened portals randomly, it would be easy to get lost in the multiverse.
However, the next second, the sound of birdsong and flowers came from the other side of the portal.
Chiba Forest.
"I'm sorry, but I can't continue to send you to the High Jungle."
Die did not give Marvin a chance to continue speaking: "But I believe that damn copper dragon will take you there."
"I'm leaving now. Maybe we'll have another chance to meet again."
"Don't waste his power."
After saying this last nonsensical sentence, Die stepped directly into the portal, and the next second, the portal disappeared.
Marvin was stunned.
In such a damn place, what level of power is needed to be able to open a portal at will?
Legendary wizard?
Ordinary legendary wizards simply can't do it, okay?
This is the tomb of the Dragon God. There are restrictions that cannot be disturbed by powerful divine power. No one dares to mess around here.
But Die...actually left so casually.
Marvin was too lazy to complain about her words - what did she mean by "you can't continue to take me to the High Forest"? He didn't have the responsibility of being a good driver at all along the way, okay? He left the Iron City and ran to the logging forest, causing himself to get involved in the dispute between the five-colored dragon and the metal dragon.
Isn't it really irresponsible to just walk away now?
However, in Marvin's heart, he became more and more curious about Die's identity.
"She said she regretted it? What exactly did she regret doing?"
"It seems to be related to the professor?"
Marvin's gaze moved away from where the portal disappeared.
The scenery on the other side of the portal seemed familiar to him, but he had been to the Chiba Forest many times, so some of the places seemed familiar to him.
His attention began to shift to a long and narrow corridor ahead.
This is different from the Azure Corridor. There are a large number of giant murals on both sides of this corridor .
There is a brazier every ten steps.
An eternal wizard's flame burned on the brazier, illuminating the contents of the murals.
Marvin looked at the order of the murals, walked to the end of the corridor, and then looked at them step by step.
He had a hunch that it was these murals that caused Butterfly to undergo some unpredictable changes.
At the beginning, the content of the murals was very simple, telling the origin and rise of the dragon clan.
It is not surprising that these murals appear in the temple of the Dragon God.
Marvin had heard of the stories of the previous murals.
The general idea is that at the other end of the multiverse, there are two binary planes that are entangled and rotating with each other.
The twin planes are spirally intertwined with each other, but there are places where they do not overlap.
The overlapping area is called the Dragon Battlefield.
Because that is the battlefield of the dragons!
This binary plane is very far away from Fenan, possibly at the farthest point of the multiverse, or it may be another multiverse - it may even be a fictional story created by the descendants of the dragon race.
All in all, this story is still very interesting.
There is only one kind of creature on the Gemini plane!
That's the dragon!
One of the planes is the world of metal dragons, while the other is the territory of five-colored dragons.
All the metal dragons and five-colored dragons in the entire universe come from this twin plane.
The hatred in their blood is also the result of generations of fighting between the two sides on the Dragon Battlefield.
So much so that even if their descendants leave the Gemini plane and encounter enemies, they will fight.
This explains why metallic dragons and chromatic dragons hate each other.
And it is said that the original Fenan had no dragons.
All dragons are outsiders.
And one day, a shocking incident occurred in the Gemini dimension.
A terrifying existence unknown in the universe appeared. It destroyed the Dragon Battlefield and even the dragons fled.
The entire Gemini plane was destroyed and most of the dragons died.
Before dying, the Dragon God of the Metal Dragon and the Dragon God of the Five-Colored Dragon finally cooperated.
They opened a teleportation array that spanned the multiverse and teleported countless dragon eggs to various nascent planes.
Among them is Finnan.
And that newborn plane was called Fenan.
After doing all this, the Dragon God of the Metal Dragon died of exhaustion from trying his best to resist that terrifying existence.
However, the Five-Colored Dragon God Hartson escaped.
