Volume 3: The Nameless Chapter 1 The Evil Alchemist's Construction Plan
On the second day after returning from the Caribbean world with great success and having completed his fulfilling work of treating patients and saving lives in the clinic, Mason, together with his loyal lackey, the Kite Man, and the new member Captain Jack, crossed the World Gate and came to the "Mage Tower" in the Forbidden Forest at night.
That is the magic apartment left by Old K.
However, this three-story mansion is located in the dark forbidden forest. This unique combination and contrast does have the flavor of "hermit wizards".
"Hey guys! How was your day last night?"
Captain Jack, wearing a flirty casual suit, without his pirate braids and smoky makeup, and wearing luxurious frog-eye glasses, dressed himself up like a playboy and walked out of the room cheering.
Hug together with his miserable pirate brothers.
Unlike yesterday when he was having fun in Gotham City, these pirates who were sent to the Forbidden Forest by Zha Kang were living in fear last night.
Even though Constantine used magic to temporarily build them a spacious residence, took out enough food and water from the magic apartment, and even allowed them to take a shower and watch movies on the first floor to pass the time, the various zombie creatures running around in this damn forbidden forest still scared these superstitious guys.
Fortunately, Zha Kang provided enough wine, which gave these guys the courage to survive the terrifying night.
"Jack, you'll never guess what I saw last night!"
Mr. Gibbs, the first mate, looked up and down at Captain Jack's new appearance and complained to him:
"Centaurs! The legendary half-man, half-horse monsters, they also turned into ghouls and were wandering in the forest last night. A few brothers who were obsessed with sex went swimming in the nearby black lake and were almost dragged down and drowned by zombie mermaids.
This damn place is horrible.
How about you talk to the wizards and ask them to let us move to another place?"
"Yes, yes."
A group of pirate brothers expressed their strong desire to move to another place.
"Captain, you promised us a good life when you took us away. Now this shabby place is worse than sailing on the sea.
At least I’m free.”
"Shut up."
Jack carefully looked back at the balcony on the third floor of the apartment. He breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't see Mason standing there. He turned back to comfort his dissatisfied brothers.
He promised glibly:
"I also know your difficulties. I wasn't just eating, drinking and having fun yesterday. Mason and I have already agreed that this is just a temporary residence. You can help the wizards repair this magic tower and open up a few potion fields. When you are done, you can go to Gotham to enjoy your life."
The captain took out the nameplate of the Iceberg Bar security guard and threw it to First Mate Gibbs, saying:
"Look, I've found new jobs for you."
"Work? Bah!"
A one-eyed pirate spat on the ground and screamed:
"I didn't escape to the sea to work for anyone. I've never thought about working in my life!"
"Shut up, idiot."
Captain Jack knew the nature of pirates and cursed:
"I just ask you to wear nice clothes and walk around every night to maintain order in the tavern. You can drink as much good wine as you want, find as many pretty girls as you want, and you also get physical examinations and medical subsidies every month.
Your biggest occupational risk is that when some thugs come to cause trouble, you have to pull out your gun and fight them.
I have worked so hard to get you this good thing, if you don’t want it, get out! Do you want me to throw you into the Black Lake to feed the mermaids now? "
Seeing that the captain was angry, the pirates finally quieted down.
Jack took out his new cell phone while cursing, and skillfully swiped the screen to show his younger brothers the footage he had recorded yesterday.
Captain Jack, who knows human nature well, not only showed them the prosperity of Gotham and the scenes of young girls dancing wildly in the bar, but also showed them the exciting scene of a gang fight that he encountered while shopping last night.
"Wow, this place looks great, luxurious and chaotic, just like a pirate's paradise."
First Mate Gibbs, who was already over 40 and a little bald, comforted the pirate monkey on his shoulder. He stared at the screen on his phone, licked his lips and said with shining eyes:
"Jack! You said that as long as we finish this job here, we can go there and enjoy life!"
"Of course, you know me, I always keep my word!"
Captain Jack patted his chest, took out a few packs of cigarettes and a box of wine to share with his brothers, and boasted to them about his "trip to the new world" yesterday.
The bunch of pirate brothers who heard this were scratching their heads, wishing they could go to the chaotic Gotham to do some "big business".
"See? This is the correct way to use Jack."
On the balcony on the third floor of the Magic Apartment behind him, Mason said to the kite man beside him:
"That guy's ability to bewitch people is much better than that of the scumbag Kang. What's even more rare is that Jack's unruly and playboy style is simply a deadly poison to the ladies.
Add to that the group of die-hard pirates under his command who look rebellious but are actually willing to follow Jack across the world. As long as you maintain a good relationship with them, the underground world of Gotham City will soon undergo a drastic change.
By then, you will be close to your dream of becoming Gotham's 'King of Villains'."
"Boss, didn't we agree not to mention this?"
Charles curled his lips in embarrassment.
He glanced at the increasingly noisy pirates below the magic apartment, thought for a moment, and then said to Mason:
"They have to be sent in batches. A hundred or so people showing up in Gotham together would draw unnecessary attention, especially from Batman's side.
I will take care of the handover with Jack, Boss, you don't have to worry about this."
"Distribute the weapons to them now."
Mason played with the newly made black Quasar sidearm in his hand and said to the Kite Man:
“You and Jack take them around this house. John said there are at least three zombie centaur tribes nearby. We need to eliminate them today.
Then plant the magic seeds prepared by John.
The soil of the forbidden forest is rich in magic, and the medicinal herbs can be harvested in just a few days. The various resources here are also urgently needed and must be planned well.
In addition, set up a defense line outside the forbidden forest."
The young man pointed to several large boxes behind him and said:
"Those are the mobile guard heavy machine gun turrets I got from Wayne Industries' military lab. I installed them around to keep unwanted guests away.
This is a public world after all. John has met other members of the Star Society last time, and such things will probably happen more frequently in the future.
A lot of trouble can be avoided by clearly marking this as Team K's territory."
"Um."
The Kite Man nodded.
A few minutes later, the weapons that were "eliminated" by Team K were distributed to the pirates.
Mason received various micro fire control chips provided by Wayne Industries' military department laboratory from Mr. .
In exchange, he gave the genius engineer some of the blueprints for the Quasar pistol.
The deal was not a loss, both parties got what they needed.
The Quasar sidearm loaded
The reason why this gadget needs a fire control chip is because this fantasy gun is a peculiar "technical weapon" whose biggest feature is "charging".
The destructive power of the bullet can be flexibly adjusted through the internal charging device.
If used skillfully and properly, you can flexibly switch from single shot to continuous fire to short-range sniping with just one gun. In addition, its unique large-capacity drum magazine makes it an excellent self-defense weapon.
The weapons used by the team members before the new guns were eliminated, and all the low-level firearms and explosives that Mason had made before in order to improve his engineering proficiency were taken out all at once.
This was now being recycled and distributed to his brothers by Captain Jack.
Also distributed was the primary enhancer that Mason had given to Zha Kang before. Using Killer Croc's genetic blueprint combined with the enhancer itself can allow the user to possess "superhuman" combat power for 30 minutes.
This thing is good in every way, the only problem is that it is still a work in progress.
It will take some time for Mason's "reverse technology" to figure out the various properties of this reinforcement and then begin further processing and modification, but this group of unlearned pirates can effectively speed up the process.
They would make perfect “drug testers.”
He stood on the balcony on the third floor of the apartment, watching the noisy pirates, led by Kite Man and Jack, split into two groups and marched towards the Centaur zombie tribe in the Forbidden Forest.
A hint of thought flashed across Mason's eyes. He didn't intend to use these pirates as cannon fodder.
The fact that these pirates were able to board the legendary battleship Black Pearl in the Caribbean world shows that they all had special skills, and it would be a pity to just waste them.
His idea was to train them to become the first batch of "servants" of Team K.
Give them weapons, strengthening drugs, and necessary equipment, and let them accumulate combat experience by constantly fighting the zombie-like magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest, so that they can provide sufficient help to Team K's world expansion in the future.
Jack Sparrow, Angelina Teach, and Elizabeth Swann are natural minion commanders.
Thinking of this, Mason took out the formula of the Green Goblin potion that Mr. Sandstorm had given him before.
The side effects of this thing are really terrible.
But its strengthening effect is comparable to the strengthening agent equipped by the commander of the Cleaner Corps. The Green Goblin is no longer an ordinary villain in his world.
After all, the value of Spider-Man’s enemy is there.
“Should we make it or not?”
Mason hesitated.
He had previously counted the materials in Team K's warehouse and found that he had all the ingredients for making the potion. With his current level of alchemy, he could complete the basic preparation and it would take at most a few days of research to make the finished product.
"Never mind, just do it first!"
The young man made a quick decision.
He put the high-quality Quasar technology sidearm in his hand into the weapon slot on his waist, and then leaned on his black penguin with a cool handle and returned to the alchemy room of the apartment to prepare to make this dangerous thing today.
Mason also hopes to use his knowledge of alchemy to try to "purify" the Green Goblin potion. It would be great if he could eliminate or weaken the terrible side effect of producing a second personality.
While the captain of Team K, Lord Mason, was busy, on the battlefield in the Forbidden Forest on the other side, the Kite Man was flying at a low altitude, brushing the treetops, conducting battlefield reconnaissance while shooting at the ground with two Quasar pistols in his hands.
In Charles' hands, the two high-tech pistols that were fed by drum magazines had the firing rate of a submachine gun. The energy storage control of the internal fire control chip made the bullets' penetration and destructive power terrifyingly strong.
If an ordinary zombie centaur is hit in the head, his head will explode on the spot, and if he is hit in the body, he will also be torn into huge scars.
In addition to the firepower advantage, the Kite Man is also very skilled in controlling the dozen or so black flying engineering bombs beside him. These flying bombs, which have been upgraded using the blueprint of the Bat Drone, are faster and more concealed.
Among them is the "alien bomb" that Mason just made.
"Get out of the way! The big guy is coming!"
Charles, who was high in the sky, soon discovered that in the chaotic Centaur village, there was an unusually large zombie Centaur howling and rushing out of the cave, with a heavy spear in his hand.
He shouted to the pirates who were enjoying the gunfire outside.
First Mate Gibbs, who was wearing a communication headset, was startled by a sudden shout before he could figure out the principle of this small device that could transmit sound over thousands of miles.
He grabbed a large-caliber shotgun and shouted at the pirates beside him, and kicked over a few bastards who were addicted to shooting before forcing them to retreat to a safe distance.
Then two flying bombs whizzed down from the sky.
After the explosion, there was not only an impact but also magical frost splashing everywhere. The sudden cold air froze the zombie monsters around the explosion point in place, turning them into living targets.
"Hit me!"
The pirate's first mate suddenly became excited when he saw this scene.
They liked to fight when the wind was in their favor, and they howled as they raised their firearms, which were much more powerful than flintlock rifles, and fired at the targets in front of them.
The big zombie Centaur was constantly bombarded by the Kite Man with flying bombs with various control effects, and was almost shot into a sieve by nearly a hundred bullets from the pirates.
"Mr. Gibbs, pick a few 'warriors' to drink the medicine! Go forward and try out the boss's medicine enhancement effect. This is one of your tasks."
The kite flyer's instructions came through the first mate's earphones again.
Gibbs hesitated for a moment, but soon turned around and picked out a few pirates he had never liked and forced them to drink the strangely colored potion.
No one wants to drink this stuff!
But faced with the raised black muzzles of guns around them, the pirates who were usually isolated because of their poor popularity had no choice but to grit their teeth and drink the green potion.
A few seconds later, several shrill screams were heard from those guys, scaring the kite flyers hovering in the sky.
As Mason's "eyes", he has to record the effects of the potion throughout the process.
Watching through the high-altitude telescope, Charles saw the pirates rolling and screaming on the ground, with green scales growing from their bloody skin.
It makes them look like they have turned into monsters.
But soon, after about ten seconds, the pirates adapted to the new "power".
They were pleasantly surprised to feel the increasingly powerful brute force and the feeling that their bodies were invulnerable to swords and guns, and were pushed forward by the burst of wildness in their hearts.
Under the wide-eyed gazes of a group of pirates, he fought bravely with the zombie centaurs.
This scene surprised the kite man very much.
He floated in the air and took out a very professional recording board, which completely recorded the changes of these drug testers and marked the drug effects at the end.
Although this thing does look powerful, Kite Man definitely doesn't want to drink it. As Mason's number one lackey, Charles knows that this thing is still a "semi-finished product".
God knows what kind of side effects will occur if you drink it rashly?
Therefore, he carefully wrote the comment "It is recommended to be provided to the vassal army and cannon fodder" in the last suggestion column.
But these few methods would not be enough to conduct large-scale drug experiments on Mason. Therefore, at the end of the battle, Kite Man issued new orders to the pirate vassal army:
"No guns are needed in the next battle! Half of the people drink No. 2 potion, and the other half drink No. 3 potion. Mr. Gibbs, you are the ground commander, so you drink No. 4 potion specially allocated to you.
rest assured.
Number 4 is the best!
I promise."
While Mr. Gibbs was pinching his nose and drinking Potion No. 4 with reluctance, on the other side of the Forbidden Forest, Captain Jack gave similar orders to his men.
But the situation of this group of pirates is better.
Their task was not to test the potions but to test the performance of the various armors and melee weapons that Mason had made by combining different ores.
Among them are some "primary magic armor" that have been processed with enchantments and inscriptions.
It was almost a life-threatening thing for the pirates to wear experimental armor and fight the zombie centaurs in hand, but under the joint "persuasion" of Captain Jack's earnest words and the black muzzles of the two Quasar pistols in his hands, a group of pirates still rushed towards the zombie centaurs in front of them, waving their cold weapons as if their mothers had died.
Captain Jack felt quite emotional when watching this scene.
All right.
It's not easy to be a servant of Team K. To work for the evil Mason Cooper for a long time, it seems that being smart is not enough.
