Volume 2: Knocking on Heaven's Door Chapter 50 A dream come true?

Pam was wearing the red and black Wildberry Creek High School uniform. While holding up her pants, she asked Dennis, "Are you sure it's okay for me to wear this to Wildberry Creek High School to spread the rumor that our summer camp has a professor from Prince? This uniform seems to be a little too big compared to the Holy Cross uniform. It's not convenient for me to escape if the janitor finds out my identity."
" Remember to hold on to your glasses before running away when you are discovered. Yes, I can guarantee that there will be no problem with you, and you are the one who looks most like a good student among the three of us." Dennis said with a leisurely smile, holding a cigarette in his mouth.
Tommy Hawke sat on the maintenance table in Pam's garage, chewing a ladyfingers and lost in thought, until Dennis handed him a cigarette: "Tommy, what do you think of my publicity ideas?"
Tommy came back to his senses, looked at Pam who was wearing a uniform, and nodded: "Great, you have grasped the essence of advertising, rumors."
Dennis did not use his strong network of contacts to promote the summer camp head-on. He decided to take a different approach because all summer camp organizations advertised heavily near campus or in newspapers. Dennis believed that as three poor guys, they would have no chance of winning a direct publicity war.
He had to use his genius, the method he used to instruct the police department in St. Vincent to drive out the wild boars and ask the U.S. Marines for help, and attack from the side.
This guy got uniforms from many nearby high schools and planned to send Pam to wear them so that she could sneak into those high schools and spread a rumor that Princeton and Lincoln High Schools were jointly organizing a summer camp. The principal of Holy Cross High School actually knew about it but had been hiding it from the students, simply because Lincoln High School had done what Holy Cross High School had not done.
"Praise me, brother! I was in charge of all the publicity and fundraising. I even managed to get 120 high school textbooks! And you and Pam did nothing when I was exhausted! I'm the only one who works hard in this organization!" Dennis said unhappily when he heard that Tommy just praised him and was about to fall into meditation again.
Pam held up her pants and looked at Dennis: "Fuck You, Dennis, if you did it all, what am I doing now?"
"The plan has been faxed to Princeton for four days, but there has been no reply. I think it might really be just a joke." Tommy Hawke looked at Dennis and laughed. "So I'm thinking that if we really start promoting it, we should promote our simulated government affairs in places like New York and Boston. There are enough elite high schools there, and parents are willing to invest in their children's education. The only problem is that we can't get newspapers in those places to help us advertise with the more than 400 yuan we have at the moment. So I'm thinking about how to convince the principal to increase his support for us, or find another high school to see if we can co-organize it. If you think you are better at these issues, I don't mind fundraising."
Dennis shook his head irritably, "No, you should just do those things! They don't sound interesting."
"You haven't told me how you managed those textbooks, Dennis. You're really amazing. I'm impressed." Tommy patted Dennis on the shoulder and encouraged his best friend with an affirmative tone.
Hearing Tommy's praise, Dennis cleared his throat and tapped his forehead with his fingers: "Of course, I am the leader of American youth students. I am smart. You need to use your brain for things like this. Do you understand? Tommy, use your brain. You should learn more from me."
"Pam and I have always said that Dennis is the smartest of the three of us. I suspect that Einstein's original last name might be Herbers. You look exactly like him." Tommy said, "Tell me how you raised money to donate those textbooks."
"Here's what I did. I made a few donation boxes and placed them outside of several nearby middle schools," Dennis said proudly.
Pam and Tommy were both a little surprised. Tommy asked, "So simple? When did local high school students become so caring?"
"A donation box alone is not enough. I added some words on it to free high school students' hands and write their homework for them for free. Just put your textbooks and homework in the box and someone will do it for you for free." Dennis, cigarette in mouth, talked about how he raised high school textbooks. "Then I asked someone to pretend to be the first person to do it, throw the textbooks and homework in, and tell other people who were waiting and watching that he had encountered this kind of thing before and there was no need to make a fuss. Then many idiots who didn't want to do homework started to follow suit."
Tommy was already dumbfounded: "Where are the sports equipment?"
"I first took some people to pretend to be members of a few sports clubs and went to the city park to do some minor damage. Then, some guys from the school's sports clubs have to suspend their activities and accept the school's investigation. There will be no sports activities for about two weeks. Then it will be a long summer vacation, which means that no one will open the equipment room for several months. So... you know, we'd better make money, then buy the equipment and send it back, otherwise you can wait for the school to settle the score with you, brother." Dennis said to Tommy Hawke calmly.
The cigarette in Tom Hawke's mouth trembled a few times, and finally he lowered his head and said in despair: "You are fucking perfect for being the president of the United States. You have learned the methods that the United States uses to treat other countries 100%! I still have a question, why are you going to settle accounts with me? It was you who did it."
"When I took the equipment, I carefully signed your name and Pam's name in the log, but I forgot to sign my own name," Dennis said very frankly.
"Fuck You! Dennis!" Pam was adjusting her Wildberry Creek High School uniform in front of the mirror. When she heard Dennis' words, she cursed, "I didn't do anything!"
"So what I just said is, you have to do those things and get the money, and we will help you solve the most difficult problems and leave the easiest problems to you, Tommy. I hope you will be touched by this friendship." Dennis said with a smile.
Tommy cursed madly, "I'm so moved that I'm about to cry, Dennis. The maggots that grew out of Einstein's shit are smarter than you! Damn it! This means that now, in addition to the publicity fees, I have to remind myself all the time to plug the hole you made with your butt before the end of summer vacation !"
The phone suddenly rang. Pam had set up an extension line in the garage for her home phone and picked up the receiver. "CSLS Committee Office."
"Pam, put Tommy on the line." It was Ottilia Farrell's voice on the other end of the line.
Pam handed the receiver to Tommy. "I always feel that Miss Farrell lacks enough kindness towards me. Ever since I praised her for her beautiful stockings, she has never worn them again and talked to me."
"I think that being chased by you and taking pictures of you, but not calling the police to arrest you, is the greatest kindness Miss Farrell has shown you, Pam." Tommy said and picked up the phone: "Miss Farrell, this is Tommy."
"Tommy, two things. First, you guessed it right. I was being sentimental. My godfather did not contact Princeton. Today, the school received a check for $5,000 from the State Education Committee's Public Education Fund to support the summer camp . It was arranged by my godfather before he went abroad." Otilia spoke very quickly on the other end of the phone. "My name was not changed, and only $5,000 was provided for support."
Tommy looked at Dennis: "Now funding has really become the simplest problem."
"Very good, Miss Farrell, what's the second news?" Tommy then asked Ottilia.
Otilia let out a long breath on the other end of the phone. "The second thing is that Princeton just called back. After reading your plan, they still need to discuss the details with our high school, but they can now confirm that one professor will definitely attend, and another is not sure yet. Tommy, congratulations on making your dream come true. Your plan has attracted the attention of the country's top university."
