Volume 2: Funeral Song of Crows Chapter 34 The Cursed and the Lost (Part 2)
After hearing this line, Valk couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Hahahahahahaha, we discussed this issue often in the past, and it was this issue that led to the bet between Beatrice and me."
When Blake on the stage heard Coles' question, his face changed slightly and he replied:
"How is that possible? The presiding judge said that he just left."
"But doesn't this usually imply that one is about to die?"
Coles replied.
In response to this, Blake's face turned completely cold and he said:
"Coles, you said that there was a possibility of finding the Chief Judge in the Moon Realm, so I agreed to let you use the Dusk Fortress privately to come here with you. What do you mean by saying this now? And, by now, you should also explain what that possibility is."
The Dusk Fortress not only exists within the scope of the present world, but also has a part built in the Moon Realm, anchored to a Moon Realm domain. Because of this, the Dusk Fortress can block the random portals generated by the Moon Realm rifts outside the present world, acting as the first line of defense to prevent the Moon Realm from invading the present world.
Two members of the Tribunal must provide certification before the Dusk Fortress can teleport people in the world to the Moon Realm. This is also the only way for the entire Vic Continent to enter the Moon Realm normally after the Moon Realm crisis is over.
"My eyes saw some clues from the past in the Moon Realm, and those clues automatically deduced a possibility about the future."
Before Coles could finish his words, Blake interrupted him.
"You mean you're still snooping into the web of conspiracy? Do you know how dangerous this is?"
In response, Coles replied nonchalantly:
"Whether it's dangerous or not, we've been like this for hundreds of years. This is what the curse means... Back to your question, I observed the depths of the Moon Realm and got this prophecy - the end of the Moon Realm crisis itself has been reflected in the Moon Realm. It is a seed formed by the hopes of all the redeemed people on the entire Vic continent. It is a force that can save the dead."
As Coles spoke, he opened his fingers and pointed to the constantly changing stage background in the distance, making a grabbing motion.
"The Seed of Hope. As long as we can obtain it, any deceased person can be reawakened by this power that condenses the hope of an entire era."
"You mean to say..."
Hearing this, Blake also turned his gaze to the stage background painting in the distance.
"Of course, all of this is based on the premise that Lord William is really dead. If he simply left this world and doesn't want to come back, then there is no point in us finding the seed. And the final split and dissolution of the Tribunal will be an irreversible outcome."
As Coles spoke, his expression returned to its previous cold look.
"I originally thought that you wouldn't care that much about the disbanding of the Tribunal. After all, you have always voted in favor of the disbanding of the Tribunal."
Blake said so.
In response, Coles shook his head and said:
"No one wants the Tribunal to exist more than I do. But this is not something that can be solved by will alone. Blake, as I said before, the basis for the existence of the Tribunal is that there is someone who can suppress everything. Without such a person, nothing can be achieved."
As he spoke, a pair of phantoms shaped like bird claws appeared on his hands.
"So let us pray that we can find the seed of hope in the Moon Realm, and let us pray that Lord William is really dead now."
"How is it? How is it? Are you very moved? After you left, your loyal subordinates actually went into the dangerous Moon Realm alone to take risks just for an illusory possibility. Such a touching plot almost made me cry."
Valk asked excitedly.
William replied:
"Then cry. I'm also curious whether the God of Laughter will shed tears when he cries."
William knew this madman's bad taste too well. If what happened next was really as he said, and these two members of the Tribunal went to the Moon Realm to retrieve the Seed of Hope and then failed in their attempt, then the other party would not have dragged him to this place to watch the drama for so long.
"Don't be fooled, it's boring."
As expected, the excited expression on Valk's face suddenly collapsed, and then he shouted towards the stage in a somewhat irritable manner:
"Jump over! Jump over! Fast forward the story to the end!"
At this point, the curtain fell again, probably omitting the process of the two of them searching for the "seed of hope" in the Moon Realm. When the curtain was lifted again, the scene had changed dramatically, and the background music also changed from the previous mournful string music to a majestic symphony ensemble.
William was very familiar with the layout of the stage this time .
In the Holy Tomb of Thorn City, in front of the tomb sealed by seven circles.
A huge black shadow of a crow hung from the ceiling like a dark cloud covering the sky, and Coles and Blake stood on either side of the crow, facing each other with weapons.
"You... the war has already begun. I don't understand why you want to give up our last hope?"
Coles had completely activated his Raven Man state, his eyes were red, his hands had turned into sharp claws, and there was a deep scar on his chest that was visible to the bone.
Blake was holding the Judgment Square in one hand and pointing it at Coles, while in the other hand he was tremblingly holding something that was emitting a strong white light.
The white light seemed to have life as it climbed up his arm, even causing cracks on his hand like porcelain.
"So this thing is what you call your last hope?"
Blake snapped, pointing at the dark shadow in the sky.
"You also know that William is gone! Gone! He will never come back! If we want to end this, we must have someone who can suppress everything! I have no choice!"
The jackdaw roared just as loudly.
"You are right, it is a man, not a god."
When Blake said this, his tone softened.
He looked up at the dark crow shadow and sighed:
"Coles, the greatest comfort to me is that no one will record what happened here today."
After saying that, he threw the Judgment IV in his hand towards the black crow shadow in the sky.
The knight's sword pierced into the black crow's chest. A sound like breaking glass was heard, and the black shadow was struck into countless crow feather-like fragments and scattered everywhere.
"No!"
Coles shouted.
However, the countless fragments that were broken into crow feathers did not dissipate, but turned into a whirlwind that rushed towards Blake, wrapping him up inch by inch, floating in the air, and penetrating into his body bit by bit.
Coles looked at this sudden change and said in confusion:
"The Curse of Despair chose you to be its master... then who am I? Are you more qualified to be that person than me?"
But before he could finish his words, a violent white light burst out from the crow feather whirlwind.
Blake held the Seed of Hope high in his hand and dispersed some of the crow feathers that were entangled around him. He looked at Coles and said the last words:
"Coles, you have lost yourself too far in your quest for power."
After saying that, he swallowed the seed of hope in his hand.
The crow feathers surrounding Blake dissipated around him, and as he let out a painful howl, white cracks began to spread across his body inch by inch.
Then, Blake stretched out his hand and Judgment Four flew back to his hand automatically. He gritted his teeth and stabbed Judgment Four into his chest. A cracking sound was heard, and four black crow feathers peeled off his body. They rushed out of the gate of the Holy Tomb, flew into the distance and disappeared.
After doing all this, Blake fell from midair into the sarcophagus. The huge stone on the sarcophagus automatically closed, and Judgment Four was guided by an invisible force and inserted into the seal in front of the sarcophagus.
"It's so wonderful! You saw Mr. No Disaster! After he shattered his soul, he used his body as a cage to imprison a Void King who had not yet been born! He actually imprisoned Him for more than a thousand years with his own will! During this thousand years, an incomplete Void King actually performed at the level of a Moon Realm Lord. This is really great!"
Valk said, standing up excitedly and starting to applaud.
William also stood up.
Because in his etheric domain, the light spot symbolizing the "Crown of Original Darkness" that was previously lent to the Crow Feather Prophet disappeared.
