Volume 2 Amber Chapter 111 Amber Art Exhibition - Part 2

Chen Lun and Floy followed Noah to the door of the gallery, followed closely by Walsh.
"Mr. Noah from the Silver Dragon Chamber of Commerce, welcome."
Beckman greeted warmly.
Noah forced a smile very sheepishly, obviously feeling uncomfortable with the title.
"Mr. Beckmann, I am very happy to be here at this exhibition. I have been looking forward to it for a long time."
Because of his huge body, Noah could only bend down slightly and stretch out his hand.
Beckman chuckled and shook his hand.
"Then I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed in this exhibition... Let me tell you a secret, there is one of your works in the exhibition.
Please forgive me for hanging your painting ."
Beckman looked apologetic.
"I really can't bear to see a good work buried. It should be seen by more people."
"Oh! Really?"
Noah seemed very excited, his cheeks flushed, and he became a little shy.
"Which piece of my work is this?"
"I'd like you to look for this in the gallery yourself. Maybe I can give you a surprise."
Beckman said mysteriously.
Noah had a happy smile on his face, with one of his fangs showing.
When the group passed by Beckman, the latter's eyes lightly swept over Chen Lun and Floy, but did not linger on them.
Chen Lun looked back and saw that Beckman had already started to receive the next guest . The Countess and Congressman Lawson stood beside him, trying their best to release their enthusiasm.
A chaotic mist flashed across Chen Lun's eyes.
"Grease Jazz..."
Turning his head, he murmured the name to himself and walked in as if nothing had happened.
After Chen Lun entered the gallery, Beckmann suddenly turned around and stared at his gradually disappearing back.
"What's wrong, Beckman?"
the Countess asked curiously, noticing her lover's movements.
"This exhibition seems to have attracted quite a few interesting guests."
Beckmann has a point.
But the Countess seemed not to understand the meaning of his words and thought that Beckman was expressing his admiration for the large lineup of guests.
Chen Lun entered the gallery.
The interior decoration tends to be red, the walls are painted with dark red paint, and the carpets, decorations, chandeliers and sofas are all a uniform red.
The noble tone is mixed with a hint of weirdness.
"Dad, look at this painting, it's so beautiful!"
Chen Lun heard a familiar voice and turned around to see Rebecca, who looked excited and was jumping for joy with Viscount Pompey in front of a painting of blooming roses.
"Keep your voice down, Rebecca."
Viscount Pompey reminded his daughter in a low voice, and Rebecca pouted in grievance.
Not far from the father and daughter, Mrs. Pompey was admiring other paintings alone.
Rebecca suddenly turned her head and saw a familiar figure passing by. She was surprised and just as the words "Mr. Jack" came to her lips, she realized that she had recognized the wrong person.
She was a little frustrated and sighed, and her original interest also disappeared for the most part.
Mr. Jack should be fine...
He is so powerful, nothing will happen to him!
Chen Lun did not go forward to greet the Pompeii family, but turned around and followed Noah away.
The works exhibited in the gallery were all first-rate. Noah kept expressing his admiration in front, and would stop from time to time to comment on his favorite paintings.
Chen Lun and Floyd listened to his explanation silently. He pointed out many details that they had overlooked or even failed to notice. Only then did they understand that in a seemingly simple work, there were still deep thoughts and connotations hidden in the artist's work.
But Floyd couldn't see the paintings, so she could only listen. Chen Lun was worried that she would get bored, so he gave her a verbal description to let her know what the paintings were.
But this method is too pale and powerless, because you simply cannot use words to describe what you see. It's like asking you to describe the color red, how would you use the words?
You can only draw analogies with other red things, there is no other way.
Red silk, blood, and roses... But if the other person has never seen these things and has no impression in his mind, then it seems like he is just talking to himself. Or if the things the other person has seen are different from what you have seen, then the color formed in his mind is not the red in your eyes.
Chen Lun was touched and sighed:
"Floy, one person cannot hear what another person hears, nor see what another person sees. Everyone perceives the world differently... Perhaps this is why there is no true understanding between people, and why their joys and sorrows are different ."
Floy turned her head and "looked" at him quietly, as if thinking about something.
There were many guests around, but they were all quietly appreciating and chatting quietly. They were generally of noble status, few of them were loud, and their gestures were very elegant .
Chen Lun felt that the time was about right, so he said hello to Noah and left halfway under the pretext of going to the bathroom.
Before leaving, he whispered to Floyd beside him:
"Wait here for me, I'll be back soon."
"Um."
Inner city.
The Red Apple Church is two blocks away from Bradley Square.
The tall Gothic church stood alone, separated from the surrounding buildings. Today was not Madame Rose's Sunday, so not many believers came to the Red Apple Church.
There were only a dozen believers sitting scattered on the wooden benches in the church. A middle-aged monk was preaching on the prayer platform, and in a soft and low voice, he slowly told the story of Rose's love for the world.
Suddenly he raised his head.
Five young men and women walked into the church.
Just as the monk was puzzled, the leading man raised his arm, pointed a strange-shaped musket at him.
"--guard!!"
The monk suddenly felt as if his soul was gone and he roared in fear.
BANG!!
There was a series of muffled sounds, and densely packed small steel balls flew out of the barrel and sprayed onto the monk.
Blood spurted out of the latter's body and he fell to the ground.
“Ahhhh!!”
The believers screamed in fear and fled outside in panic, shouting the name of Rose and praying for protection.
Polaris and his group were not psychopaths. They did not kill these ordinary people for no reason and let them go.
"So, the next part should be a high-intensity battle, right?"
The centaur also took out a horn gun and said in a deep voice.
"Of course it is. After all, it is one of the largest supernatural forces in the empire... It is better to be cautious. Our mission is just to attract attention."
Polaris glanced at the muskets in the hands of the three centaurs and thought to himself that he was really stupid.
What precious musket that can kill flying dragons?
What old friend?
You also sell wholesale?!
"My musket is thirsty! Hurry up!"
Goutoujin looked excited.
It seemed as if his wish came true. As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of dense footsteps was heard.
Behind the church's prayer platform, the side doors on both sides were knocked open, and a group of guards in leather coats rushed out.
The two monks in the lead had sullen faces.
"Blasphemers! None of you can escape!"
But the next second, his expression changed.
Because the five young men not only did not run away, but rushed forward with even greater excitement.
"A real man should make great achievements today! Kill!"
The strange words shouted by the gold nugget confused the monk.
