Volume 1: Raging Waves City Chapter 25 Absolute Loyalty
While Luke was researching the Shamrock armed airship robbery in the CIA detective's office, various forces in the Cape District became active.
The Sheriff's Department issued a message to the entire city:
“No violence will be allowed during the day and everyone must prioritize the normal operation of the terminal.
A curfew will be implemented at 8pm (York Street, Windward Lane, Toss Street, Tinus Street, and the area near the Seaview Lighthouse are not included in the curfew).
The curfew was lifted at 4 a.m. the next day, and the Cape area returned to normal.”
At the same time, all the people and forces who wanted to divide up the territory of the Mad Axe Gang received a verbal notice from the Public Security Bureau: the Public Security Bureau would not give them any help, they were not allowed to enter the curfew area at night, and everything else... whatever!
As dusk approached, there was no one on the streets of the Cape District. Windows and doors were closed, and lights were kept on unless necessary.
Anyone who lives in the Cape knows that something big is going to happen at night.
In the Cape District Secret Intelligence Bureau, except for some civilian staff who went home after get off work, the rest of the agents were on standby locally.
Although everyone was still chatting and playing cards, the weapons were placed where they could be most easily reached.
Shelley knocked on the door of the inspector's office and walked in.
Under the desk lamp, Luke signed his name on the last document and handed it to Kylena who was standing next to him: "You can go home now. It's not safe at night, so you can sleep in the dormitory. Arrange another room for me."
"Yes, Detective." Kylena walked out.
Shelley sat across the desk.
"Inspector, everything has been arranged at the Mad Axe headquarters. The people below have provided support for a total of 467 mercenaries , and they are all with Lambert now.
They have the castle to use, so they should be able to survive the night.
What are we going to do? Wait here?"
Luke tidied up his messy desk and put the pen into the pen holder.
At the same time, he said to Shelley: "This fight cannot be resolved overnight . If the people from the Public Security Bureau abide by their agreement and don't leave, there is no need for us to stay up all night.
You have been a soldier and fought in wars, so you can arrange for the brothers to take turns to rest and set up sentries around the building."
Shelley said, "I have arranged the sentries... Inspector, do you need me to secretly help the Axe Party?"
"No need. Holt and I agreed that the Secret Service and the Public Security Bureau would not intervene. If the people from the Public Security Bureau were to notice your presence, it would only make the Axe Madmen die faster.
Our most important task is to defend our own side and prevent others from taking advantage of the chaos to attack our base."
Shelley said confidently: "Who dares to attack our secret service?"
Luke finished packing and stood up. He put on his coat, hat and picked up his cane.
Then he said to Shelley: "The situation in the Cape is far more complicated than you think. Many people hope that we will be destroyed. If we are not careful, we will end up like my predecessor.
I'm going to the dormitory to rest. The defense here is left to you.
As a fighter, you are still very good."
Shelley stood up and saluted Luke: "Don't worry, Inspector! I will never let anyone threaten your safety."
Luke simply returned Shelley's greeting and walked out of the office.
The Secret Intelligence Bureau in Cape District is a U-shaped building with four sides surrounding a parking lot in the middle.
The front of the building is the office area, and the rest of the building has a canteen, dormitory, entertainment venue, warehouse, mechanical engineering room...
Many bachelors in the Secret Service live in local dormitories.
Given the current situation in the Cape District, it is definitely not possible to return to Shelley's home, so Luke chose to live in the Secret Service dormitory.
I got the key to the inspector's private dormitory from the dormitory manager.
Room 203.
After finding the room, I saw Kylena standing at the door with two female clerks holding a lot of things.
There are blankets, pillows, toiletries, and a lunch box.
Seeing Luke, Kylena, who was holding a white enamel basin, said: “Inspector, your dormitory has not been used for some time, let us help you clean it.
Here is your dinner.”
"Thanks."
Kylena and the two female clerks said together: “This is what we should do.”
Luke took out his key and opened the door.
Although no one has lived here for a while, the room is still relatively clean because someone cleans it on time.
The room was more spacious than I expected. There was a living room outside, a bedroom inside, and a separate bathroom.
Kylena came in with two female clerks to make Luke's bed, put the items he brought where they belonged, and then cleaned it up briefly.
After the two female clerks went out, Kylena closed the door.
"Inspector, please follow me."
Luke was very puzzled when he saw Kylena actually walking into the bedroom.
Kylena usually looks very shy and introverted, but I didn’t expect her to be so open-minded.
This romantic encounter came a little suddenly!
But I have something else to do tonight and I need to restrain myself.
Luke followed into the bedroom and said to Kylena, “Kylena, I think we…”
In the room, Kylena took off her black-framed glasses, revealing her beauty that was hidden by the glasses, which immediately stunned Luke.
Then Kylena lifted the hair that covered her right ear.
Her right ear extends all the way back to the occipital bone and is made entirely of metal. The auricle is shaped like an inverted disc and can be extended and retracted within a certain range.
Kylena tied her long hair into a bun, her earlobes slowly turned, and some light came out from the gaps.
Now Luke knew that his thoughts just now must have been wrong.
So Luke stood aside and watched what Kylena was trying to do, and then he heard the sound of mechanical gears turning inside the wall of the room.
Kylena said to Luke at this time: "Inspector, the security system in your room has been activated. Please look into my eyes, and I will open the confidential authority of the detective of the Cape District Secret Intelligence Bureau for you."
Luke walked in front of Kylena. Her originally deep blue eyes had turned into aqua blue, and there were dots of red light flowing regularly in the pupil of her right eye.
"Inspector, please move closer."
Luke stepped forward and almost stuck to Kylena: “Is this okay?”
Kaileena raised her head and looked at Luke, who was taller than her, and stood on tiptoe. In order to maintain balance, she put her hands on both sides of Luke's waist.
Then Kylena's body stiffened and there was no expression in her eyes.
An emotionless voice came out of her mouth: "Inspector Meteorite, I am a confidential alchemical cyborg jointly developed by the Imperial Alchemical Machinery Research Institute and the Extraordinary Biology Research Institute.

Luke looked into Kylena's eyes and said to her, "Confirm."
Kylena's eyes immediately regained their color.
She quickly let go of Luke, took a step back , and said embarrassedly, "I'm sorry, Detective, I didn't mean to offend you. As your confidential secretary, I must guarantee my absolute loyalty to prevent anyone from stealing the secrets of the CIA."
