Volume 1 Chapter 7 New Students

"Why do we have to regard separation from our family as a sad thing? If we think about it from another perspective, perhaps this is a good thing for us to gain freedom." The boy with a few freckles on his face and bright red hair said casually.
"I'm not separated from my family!" The black-haired boy screamed, his eyes red and obviously he had just cried, "They all forgot about me! They forgot that I'm their son!"
Tears flowed from his eyes again.
"Yesterday my dad and mom celebrated with me about getting the admission letter to Eton College, but today they looked at me as if they were looking at a stranger..."
The boy with a round face, blond hair, and a firm gaze that was different from the other children patted his shoulder and consoled him.
"There is no other way, Justin. Professor McGonagall did this not only to protect you but also to protect your parents. If those people knew that they had a son with magic like you, they might be in danger in the future. "
He obviously wanted to act much more mature than the other children, and such comforting words made the boy named Justin stop crying. He looked at the blond boy eagerly.
"Will I have a chance to meet my parents again in the future?"
The blond boy remained silent, obviously knowing that the possibility was very low.
"I will! Justin!"

The only girl present said firmly and loudly.
"My parents have always told me that justice will triumph over evil! Wait until the day when Professor Dumbledore leads us to regain the equal status that should belong to us! Then you can be reunited with your parents!"
After being sent to this room by Professor McGonagall, Jon listened to the conversation between the four children without saying a word.
Based solely on this information from their appearance and words, he had already preliminarily recognized two of them.
The red-haired boy who spoke at the beginning had obvious appearance features. Only the Weasley family had such bright red hair in the wizarding world.
This boy is naturally Ron Weasley, the protagonist of the original novel, the youngest son of the pure-blood Weasley family.
Since he appears here, it means that the Weasley family’s position is still the same as in the original book. They are willing to be "blood traitors" and would rather betray their own class than support Dumbledore for the justice in their hearts.
The crying black-haired boy called Justin is the Hufflepuff student Justin Finch-Fletchley who appeared in the original book and was petrified by the basilisk in the second part .
Like Jon, he is also a Muggle student whose parents are both Muggle-born.
As for the other blond boy and the girl...
Just as Jon turned his gaze to Neville, Neville also turned his head and looked at him.
Neville held out his hand with a smile on his face.
"Hello, my name is Neville Longbottom, and I'm also a freshman at Hogwarts this year. I'm sorry, Justin was in a bad mood just now, and we are trying to comfort him."
Jon's heart paused slightly, but he remained calm and stretched out his hand to shake Neville's.
"It doesn't matter, my name is Jon Green, just call me Jon."
"This is Justin Finch-Fletchley, this is Ron Weasley, and Lavender Brown. There should be only five of us as freshmen at Hogwarts this year."
As Neville and Jon were introduced, Ron and the others also greeted Jon. Even Justin, who was still in a low mood, said to him, "Nice to meet you."
"Were you brought here by Professor Potter?" Ron asked curiously.
Jon nodded.
"She brought me here."
"It seems that they didn't snatch many students from another Hogwarts this year." Ron shrugged and said, "Justin was brought here by Professor McGonagall this afternoon. They only brought back the two of you."

Jon looked at Ron. Although he could guess the reason, he still asked with curiosity.
"What about you three?"
"Neville's family and I are both members of the Order of the Phoenix, and we have always followed Dumbledore." Ron said casually, "According to the Ministry of Magic, both of our families are wanted criminals. We were destined to go to Hogwarts when we were 11 years old. Because no other magic school would accept us."
"My father insisted on sending me here," Lavender said proudly. "He firmly believed that I could only get the best education here. For this reason, he even gave up his family business in England and fled to Iceland with my mother!"
Jon also had some impression of the name Lavender.
In the original book, she seemed to be Ron's first love, but unfortunately there was no happy ending in the end. She died in the mouth of .
As for her ancestry, there is no way to know that, but from her tone, it can be heard that at least her father is a wizard.
Jon suddenly felt that the group of four freshmen who entered school with him was quite interesting.
He and Justin were Muggle students brought back from outside by the professor. Ron and Neville were both pure-blooded, while Lavender was most likely a half-blood.
Although there are only five freshmen here, they bring together people from all walks of life in the wizarding world.
Justin also obviously realized that Jon was the person whose experience was most similar to his, and he asked with a blink of his eyes.
"Were you also brought here after your parents' memories were erased?"
Jon could understand that he wanted to find someone in the same situation as him in this strange place. This would be a bit of psychological comfort, but unfortunately their situations were not the same.
"I was taken out of an orphanage by Professor Potter. I have been without parents since I was a child, so I don't feel that sad."
The look that Jia Siyan gave him suddenly turned pitiful.
After all, he once had a family but lost it today, while Jon has never had one since childhood and is obviously more miserable than him.
"From this perspective, there's nothing wrong with being an orphan. At least I won't be sad at this time..."
Before Ron could finish his words, Neville slapped him on the back, interrupting him and looking at Jon with an apologetic look on his face.
"Sorry, Jon, he always talks like that without paying attention. Ron didn't mean to mock you."
After Neville's reminder, Ron realized that his words, which he said without thinking, were very ambiguous, and he immediately apologized with an awkward smile.
"I'm sorry, Jon, I didn't mean that."
Of course, Jon didn't care much about this matter. He smiled and shook his head and said, "It's okay." Lavender then started to talk enthusiastically and changed the topic.
But while they were chatting, Jon didn't attract any attention from others and looked at Neville deeply.
The polite, generous, attentive and gentle boy in front of me is completely different from the timid and cowardly Gryffindor in the original book.
