Volume 1 Chapter 6 Hogwarts on a Carriage

The complexity in Jon's heart cannot be described in words.
Facing this familiar yet strange world, the thing that can best give him a sense of security is to hear information about the protagonists in the original story.
But now Lily, who was supposed to sacrifice herself to protect her son, is about to take him to Hogwarts. The prophesied savior Harry Potter is likely to be in great danger.
Now there is news that Hermione Granger has been taken to Hogwarts, which Lily mentioned was called the "Training Facility".
The three little ones in the original book can be said to have been completely shattered, and Voldemort's dark forces are countless times stronger than in the story.
This completely shattered Jon's initial fantasy that the destined protagonist was still there and the world could still be saved, and his sense of security.
His mood sank to the bottom, just like the setting sun.
The sky gradually darkened, and dim street lights lit up on both sides of the road, illuminating this secluded road.
Lily suddenly stood up from the bench. She released her hand that had been holding the wand in her trouser pocket and took out a silver object that looked like a lighter from her coat pocket.
She pressed the button on the lighter, and the next moment, all the street lights on both sides of the road went out.
The night is very dark tonight. After the light source disappears, the surroundings fall into complete darkness.
When Lily took out the lighter, Jon also stood up, his arm held by Lily. Not long after, he vaguely heard the sound of horse hooves in the darkness.
"Here comes Hogwarts."

The house in the distance
The sound of horse hooves became louder and louder, almost right next to his ears, and soon in the darkness, Jon vaguely saw a huge carriage!
The carriage was about the same size as the safe house he had seen during the day, about two or three meters high and five or six meters long. But the strange thing was that there was no sign of a horse in front of the carriage, as if there was no living creature pulling it, but the clear sound of horse hooves seemed so real.
The horseless carriage stopped in front of Jon and Lily, with a person sitting in the front.
He was a very tall and strong man, and his proportions were so harmonious in this carriage which was as big as a small house.
In his hands were two reins that connected to the air in front of him. Jon couldn't see his face in the dark, but he could feel the caring gaze directed at him.
"Hello, child, nice to meet you. I'm the coachman at Hogwarts. You can call me Hagrid."
Rubeus Hagrid, the gamekeeper and key keeper of Hogwarts Castle in the original book, is a half-giant, but also a kind and gentle man.
Jon's mind popped up information about Hagrid, and he did not forget to introduce himself.
"Hello Hagrid, my name is Jon Green."
"Ah, it's nice to meet you Jon, and glad to see you're safe Lily."
"Thank you, Hagrid, but this is not a safe place. I'm going to take him upstairs." Lily said softly.
Hagrid raised the reins in his hand happily.
"Go quickly. Professor McGonagall has returned with a child in the afternoon. Dumbledore told me a good place. We will hold the welcome dinner there later!"
Lily took Jon to the rear of the carriage, then she took out her wand and pointed at the wooden railing beside the carriage, and a wooden staircase extended from it.
Jon followed Lily, walked up the stairs with her, pulled open the curtain, and walked into the carriage called Hogwarts.
As soon as they entered the carriage, they were in a large foyer.
The space here alone is not enough for a carriage that looks like a small house. There must be some magic cast on the inside that can expand the space.
In the entrance hall, an elderly witch with a straight back, wearing a dark green robe, with black hair tied into a high bun and square eyes on her face was standing there to greet them.
"Professor McGonagall, I'm sorry, I only brought back one child."
After seeing the older witch, Lily stepped forward and gave her a gentle hug, while speaking guiltily.

Professor McGonagall's originally serious expression softened a lot, and she patted Lily on the back.
"Don't say those words. I'm glad you came back safely. Go and have a rest first. There will be a dinner party later. Leave the child to me."
Lily nodded, handed Jon to him, and then left through the hall.
After sending Lily away, Professor McGonagall's expression turned serious again and she looked at John.
"Mr. Green, I am Minerva McGonagall, the deputy headmistress of Hogwarts and also your Transfiguration and Herbology professor. I believe that when Lily brought you here, she has already completed the initial orientation for you. Next, you have to follow me. I will take you to meet up with the other freshmen, and then collect your wands."
Jon was no stranger to the deputy headmaster of Hogwarts who was featured extensively in the original book, but after hearing Professor McGonagall's self-introduction, he was obviously stunned for a moment.
Professor McGonagall noticed his strangeness and asked with a slight frown.
"Do you have any question?"
Jon took a deep breath and shook his head.
"I have no problem, Professor. I'm just a little nervous being here for the first time."
Professor McGonagall looked at him, and her serious face softened a lot.
"It is indeed difficult to adapt to a strange environment at first, Green, but the professors and students at Hogwarts are easy to get along with. Maybe no one will like the life of exile, but you will make friends here."
Jon nodded seriously, then followed Professor McGonagall toward the corridor behind the entrance hall.
In fact, he was still thinking about the position that Professor McGonagall had just mentioned that she held.
Herbal Medicine Professor...
After walking out of the hallway and a few meters along the corridor, Professor McGonagall pushed open a door on her left and walked in with Jon.
After they entered the room, four pairs of eyes looked at them in unison.
These were children about the same age as Jon, three boys and one girl, sitting on a bench in the middle of the room. They didn't look very well behaved before they came in, and were whispering to each other. But after seeing Professor McGonagall, they immediately became well-behaved and sat up straight.
Professor McGonagall glanced at the children with her sharp eyes and motioned for Jon to sit on the last empty bench.
"Wait here first. I will take you to get your wands later."
