Part 4
The rays of the five suns finally squeezed in through the crack in the door.
Lin Yiwei smiled and stood up, as if the previous haze had been dispelled by the light. "I'll go get San Moli," she said to Xia Yu.
Xia Yu suddenly remembered Liu Qingwen hanging upstairs and immediately stood up, saying, "I'll go up with you."
San Moli lay in bed, unmoved by their arrival. Lin Yiwei shook her, saying, "The sun's out, we're leaving." San Moli still didn't move. Lin Yiwei instinctively reached for San Moli's breath, then abruptly pulled back. San Moli was dead.
Lin Yiwei slumped to the ground. Xia Yu immediately understood what had happened and hugged her tightly. Both of them trembled uncontrollably.
The medicine bottle was lying on the ground. Lin Yiwei picked it up and unscrewed the cap. Inside was a small note. Lin Yiwei pulled it out and read the words: I won't have to take medicine anymore when I go there. Heaven.
Lin Yiwei poured the pills out of the bottle and carefully read the small words on the pills. They were actually mixed with a lot of sleeping pills. Lin Yiwei sighed and shook her head. "She told me yesterday that she's been sick since birth and has to take medicine every day. But the medicine can't cure her, and she could die at any time. It's a fear that others can't understand. So I think she deliberately put sleeping pills in the bottle and took whatever she got. She just wanted to get relief quickly, without even realizing it."
Ye Feng watched the pale Xia Yu helping Lin Yiwei down the stairs. "Moli is dead?" He folded his hands, his expression nonchalant. Lin Yiwei glared at him fiercely, disliking his gloating expression. Ye Feng hefted his travel bag and said, "This trip is so boring. I remember what my friend said: five people survived, and now there are only four of us left. It seems she meant no one survived, and we all die."
"Don't say anything, no one will think you're dumb," Xia Yu said angrily. He suddenly felt a cool breeze fall on his head and thought the cabin must be leaking. A cool breeze slowly slid from the top of his head to his face. Xia Yu reached out and wiped it away, leaving a sticky mess.
"Blood," Director Hei suddenly pointed at Xia Yu and said, "There's blood on your face."
Xia Yu hurriedly looked at his hand, the bright red stinging his eyes. Then he looked up, and the wooden planks above him were already stained red. Xia Yu stepped back a few steps. Blood continued to drip from the floorboards, like bright red flowers blooming on the ground.
Lin Yiwei held her breath and wiped Xia Yu's face and hair with a tissue.
No one moved. Director Hei was so frightened that he leaned against the door, as if ready to flee at any moment. The wooden planks corresponded to Liu Qingwen's bedroom. He had hanged himself. But the blood was still dripping. "Finally, something interesting." Ye Feng suddenly smiled and stood up. He began to walk upstairs. Everyone stared at him, not daring to move. Ye Feng reached the door of Liu Qingwen's bedroom, pushed it open, and walked in.
Xia Yu took a deep breath and finally mustered the courage to go upstairs. He cautiously approached the door. He saw Ye Feng squatting on the ground, staring at a body lying under the bed. Liu Qingwen's body was still dangling from the ropes, and there was another body under his bed. Next to it lay a bloody knife. The head and body were separated. It was Ye Feng's body. "So I died last night. So you really did kill me." His face was filled with disbelief at first, then a hint of sadness. He said bitterly to Xia Yu— so disappearing is really the most boring thing!
Xia Yu's eyes widened. Ye Feng was gone from the room; only two bodies remained. One hanging, the other lying. He stumbled downstairs. "Lin Feng is dead. He died a long time ago, but he just didn't believe it." Xia Yu grabbed Lin Yiwei's hand and hurried out. Director Hei followed.
"Camel, there's a camel." Although Lin Yiwei was still in shock, she was still filled with surprise at the sight of the camel running in the distance. Xia Yu held Lin Yiwei's hand tightly. The camels slowly approached, and only then did they notice a figure dragging behind them. The figure was already dead, his face shattered beyond recognition by the desert.
