Chapter 8 You are the culprit, not her! three
After a series of investigations, although we still feel that there are many doubts, the police have closed the case based on the existing evidence and determined it to be an accident. The perpetrator was sentenced to a heavy sentence, which can be regarded as an explanation to our family, and the matter has come to a temporary end.
I also resumed my studies and went to school, otherwise I would have been bored to death staying at home all day.
As for going to Xiao Mu's house, due to my great-grandfather's concerns, I have not been able to go for the time being, but my great-grandfather has promised me that he will definitely arrange for me to go to Xiao Mu's house.
"An Shiya, stop right there." I was sitting alone in the garden, thinking about random things, when suddenly a girl called my name loudly.
"Ranxi?" I turned around and saw Ranxi in her school uniform. Her long hair was cut very short, and she looked like a boy. Fortunately, she was pretty, so short hair didn't look bad. Her school uniform was very loose, and it didn't show her good figure at all. She stood in front of me, with some red marks on her pretty face and big dark circles under her eyes.
"An Shiya, let me say it again, I have never done anything to let you down, and I have never hurt you. I didn't send anyone to hit you or kidnap you, and this is not a TV show, so please stop harassing me." Ranxi's voice was loud, and there was anger and grievance in her eyes, but no fear or shame.
"You are wrong. I have never harassed you and I believe you did not do this." I said in confusion.
"Really? Then why doesn't Xuan Yixin believe me?" Ranxi's momentum suddenly weakened, as if all the strength in her body was drained away. She looked at me with her big misty eyes, "Xuan Yixin doesn't believe me at all."
"Ranxi, I know you are a clean girl, confident and responsible. You wouldn't play dirty, otherwise you wouldn't confess to me in person. And even though you knew Xuan Yixin liked me, you didn't do anything. So I never believed that you were the mastermind behind this." I looked at Ranxi and said sincerely.
"Do you trust me so much?" Ranxi blinked.
"Well, I believe you ." I nodded heavily.
"I finally understand why Xuan Yixin likes you." Ranxi smiled self-deprecatingly, then turned and ran away.
" Ranxi, did Xuan Yixin do something to you?" I shouted towards Ranxi's back. Ranxi looked like he had been "bullied" by someone.
"Yes, he found me and determined that I was the mastermind, but he didn't find any real evidence. Xuan Yixin, I don't like him now. He is too stupid and too arbitrary." Ranxi turned his head to look at me, his facial expressions changing thousands of times, and finally he showed relief after being extremely disappointed.
"Xuan Yixin..." I frowned and thought, how could he do this! What's the difference between him and those who want to harm me!
I ran to find Xuan Yixin angrily, but Xuan Yixin was still reading calmly as if nothing had happened.
"Xiaoya, why are you so angry?" Xuan Yixin saw me, put away the book, looked at me with a smile and asked.
"Did you go to find Ranxi?" I asked Xuan Yixin fiercely, glaring at him.
Xuan Yixin was stunned, then touched his head and said, "What's wrong with you? Are you questioning me because of Ranxi? Can you please stop being so naive?"
"I've already told you it couldn't be Ranxi. How could you do this without knowing the truth? Did you ask someone to cut her hair?" I shouted angrily.
"I'm just teaching her a lesson for you. I said I won't let go of anyone who hurts you!" Xuan Yixin was also very angry, and her fair face flushed with excitement, "Why don't you believe me? I won't hurt you!"
"That's enough. You didn't hurt me, but you hurt others because of me! If someone really hurts me because of you, then you are the culprit, not her!"
"An Shiya, do you know what you are saying?" Xuan Yixin looked at me angrily and asked.
"Of course I know. I said you are the culprit, not her!" I looked at Xuan Yixin and said each word clearly, then turned around and ran away. I didn't know how to continue facing him.
Everything here made me feel tired. I didn’t want to stay here any longer, so I called my great-grandfather.
"Girl, have you come to terms with it?" Great Grandfather's voice also sounded tired.
"Grandpa, I've let it go and it's okay. I want to visit Xiao Mu's hometown and meet Xiao Mu's parents." I held the phone, trying not to let my voice tremble.
"Well, since you want to go so much, then go. You will fulfill your wish when you go. We in the An family will not treat you unfairly. Great grandfather has arranged all of Xiao Mu's funeral affairs very well. Xiaoya, don't think too much. Maybe some things are just fate." Great grandfather coughed a few times.
"Grandpa, don't worry, I understand everything. I have really let it go, but I can't feel at ease unless I meet Xiao Mu's parents."
"Okay, Great Grandpa understands." Great Grandpa finally agreed to my request, but asked Luo Yin to arrange people to continue to protect me along the way.
I also regard this trip as a relaxing journey, and try my best to empty myself and stop thinking about other people and things.
