Chapter 6: Social phobia is cured, but the person is crazy
Han Fei played many games after losing his job. He did this mainly to vent his inner pressure , hoping to adjust his state as soon as possible and regain the motivation for life.
Now his goal has been achieved. After playing the game "Perfect Life", he deeply understood the beauty of life. It turned out that the injustices he had encountered were so insignificant in front of evil spirits and perverts.
In a sense, he was indeed healed.
However, this method of healing was rather rough, just like a splinter stuck in a finger and he ended up cutting off the entire arm.
He collapsed to the ground helplessly, pain and fatigue tormenting every nerve in his body. Han Fei didn't know whether he fell asleep or fainted.
…
Bang! Bang! Bang!
At seven o'clock in the morning, Han Fei was awakened by a knock on the door. He got up from the ground, his mind still a little confused.
It wasn't until he saw the gaming helmet on the table and the blood inside the helmet that he realized last night's game was not a dream.
"The novice missions are so difficult, there must be more terrifying missions later. Isn't this asking me to die? I'm just a comedian who can't even fight. How can I fight against the vicious 'neighbors' on the entire building?"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
There was a constant knock on the door. If it had happened before playing the game, Han Fei, who suffered from severe social anxiety, would probably have pretended that there was no one in the room and waited silently for the other party to leave.
But after playing that game, he didn't think much about it and just walked over and opened the door.
"Hello, we are police officers from the Xingfu Road Police Station in the old city. My name is Zhao Ming, and this is my colleague Zhang Xiaotian."
"police?"
Looking at the two uniformed policemen at the door, Han Fei's eyes lit up. The thing called "black box" in his mind had threatened him with brain death and prevented him from calling the police, but now the police had come to his door themselves.
"Come in!" Han Fei had never been so active in communicating with others. He invited the two policemen into the house and ran to the refrigerator to find some drinks.
"We are here to ask you something. There was a fire in our jurisdiction, and the surveillance camera captured you at the scene of the fire." The two policemen looked at Han Fei's enthusiasm and felt a little strange. Zhao Ming even took out his mobile phone to check. He found that Han Fei's performance was different from what was shown in the police investigation materials.
"Actually, I have something to tell you." Han Fei sat opposite the police with a drink.
"Oh?" The two policemen looked at each other, their expressions gradually becoming serious. They stared at Han Fei in front of them and asked, "What do you want to tell us?"
"Last night I..."
"Warning! Player No. 0000, please note! Do not disclose the existence of the first version of "Perfect Life" to anyone! After three warnings! The black box will explode in your brain!"
It was as if someone was grabbing his brain nerves. The trembling feeling coming from deep in his brain made Han Fei open his mouth, but he couldn't continue speaking.
The two policemen looked at Han Fei's half-open mouth, and the three of them remained motionless for a few seconds.
"What happened to you last night?" The two policemen waited. They had no idea of the pressure Han Fei was under at the moment. Beads of sweat dripped down Han Fei's cheeks, and the feeling of terror that destroyed every brain nerve lingered deep in his mind.
Veins popped out on his forehead, Han Fei clenched his teeth, and punched the sofa hard, but in the end he did not reveal the existence of the game.
The two policemen were startled by Han Fei's actions: "Calm down, let's talk it over. Resisting with force is the most stupid thing to do."
After racking his brains, Han Fei deliberately avoided the game and tried to talk about his troubles from another angle.
In order to prevent the black box in his mind from exploding, he spoke every word very carefully: "At midnight last night, pay attention to this time, an old lady invited me to eat dumplings, and her grandson smashed the fish soup and said that the ingredients were taken from the coffin, but the ingredients were taken from the refrigerator. I felt like there was a corpse hidden in their refrigerator."
"Since you have such thoughts, shouldn't you reflect on yourself?" The two policemen looked at Han Fei's serious expression. Zhao Ming quietly turned on the law enforcement recorder, and Zhang Xiaotian put one hand behind his back without leaving a trace: "And then?"
"I went home and went to sleep. The bathroom door moved by itself and something came out. Do you believe that there are ghosts in this world?"
"What?"
"A ghost! He was squatting on the ground and suddenly disappeared. His face was pale and his body was as if he had no bones! As soon as I opened my eyes, he was hiding next to the bedside lamp!" Han Fei became more and more agitated. He was afraid that the police would leave and he would miss the opportunity to ask for help, so he danced and showed off his solid acting skills.
"I've already taken out my law enforcement recorder, and you're telling me there's something fishy going on?" Zhao Ming took a deep breath and tried to keep his tone calm. "If that's all you want to tell us, forget it. We're going to ask you a few questions, and please answer them truthfully."
"I swear to God, everything I said is the truth!" Han Fei was really not acting. He blinked desperately, like a hostage, except that he was not held hostage by the kidnappers, but by a game.
"First of all, my first question is, why did you appear in the Antique Street in the old city at 1:30 yesterday afternoon?" Zhao Ming did not continue to beat around the bush with Han Fei and asked directly.
"I'm going to buy second-hand games. Oh, right! We can go find the store manager! Police comrade! Come with me to find the store manager..."
"What kind of store manager is there? Many buildings on that old street are dilapidated. All the shops were closed three months ago."
"Impossible! I've been buying games at that thrift store for three consecutive days! Let's go there now! I'll take you to that store!" Han Fei stood up.
"Do you really not know or are you pretending to be confused? There was a fire on Antique Street yesterday afternoon and all the second-hand shops were burned down. Fortunately, the shops had been closed long ago, so no one was injured." Zhao Ming and Zhang Xiaotian both felt that Han Fei was a little suspicious.
"All the second-hand stores were burned down?" Han Fei stared at the two policemen in a daze. After a moment, his eyes became firm again: "Impossible! There must be a loophole! I remember the store manager's appearance clearly! As long as you find this person, you can prove that I am not lying!"
Han Fei is a professional actor with a very good memory. He took out a pen and paper and wrote down the old store manager's appearance. "Just look for him according to this! You will definitely find him!"
"I can tell you responsibly that there can't be any shops open there..." Zhao Ming wanted to say something else when his cell phone suddenly vibrated. He asked Zhang Xiaotian to keep an eye on Han Fei and walked out of the room.
"Hello? Captain Wang?"
"Have you been to the home of the suspect in the Antique Street arson case? Have you found anything?" A middle-aged man's voice came from the other end of the phone.
"We've arrived. After talking and asking questions, we found that there was indeed something wrong with that man." Zhao Ming looked inside the house and lowered his voice.
"Tell me more specifically."
"According to the personality model built from citizen information big data, he is a very introverted and hard-working comedian. We also found his psychological counseling records, which said he suffered from very severe social phobia."
“A comedian with social anxiety?”
"That's what the citizen information and data analysis recorded, but after we actually contacted him, we found that the suspect was very excited and his behavior was extremely strange. I suspect that his social phobia has been cured, but..."
"Only what?"
"It's just that the person seems crazy."
