Chapter 5: You call this a casual healing game?

The shadow that was originally beside the sofa appeared at the bedroom door at some point. Han Fei could vaguely see the outline of a person squatting on the ground with his head lowered.
His body seemed petrified, Han Fei half-knelt on the bed, with the moldy red quilt still draped over his back.
"If I knew in advance that this was a fighting game or a puzzle game, I would definitely be fully prepared mentally, but the problem is that the store owner and all the information on the Internet say that this is a healing game. Who the hell knows how to escape in a healing game!"
He stared at the bedroom door, his brain working rapidly after a brief pause.
Things have already happened. There is no point in thinking about why he can't quit the game now. He has to live within the rules!
To quit the game, two conditions must be met: first, the game duration exceeds three hours, and second , at least one task must be completed.
"I have completed the task of installing the fuse at Grandma's house. I remember when I entered the game and opened my eyes, the clock showed the time was midnight, and the last time I looked at the clock was 2:44 in the morning, so I just need to find a way to buy myself at most 16 minutes to leave here!"
Han Fei's thoughts had never been so clear. He stared at the bedroom door, his muscles tensed, and his five fingers tightly gripped the kitchen knife.
"I checked before. There was no one in the bathroom, and there was no place for anyone to hide. What on earth is this thing? Why would it open the bathroom ?"
Han Fei could survive as long as he could hold on for sixteen minutes, but the question was how could he hold on for these sixteen minutes? Now things were heading in a worse direction, and he was not sure whether the kitchen knife in his hand would be useful. He was just holding on to the kitchen knife instinctively to seek a little psychological comfort.

I was lying in bed sleeping late at night. When I opened my eyes, I saw a person squatting next to the sofa in the living room. In the blink of an eye, I found that the person ran to the bedroom door. The scene made my scalp tingle just thinking about it.
Stay calm! Stay calm!
Being unable to exit the game had a huge impact on Han Fei. Before he could recover, he was suddenly struck by fear. It was incredible that this ordinary office worker had not collapsed under such repeated blows.
"The old man said that this house is unsafe because something happened there. He must be referring to the man squatting on the ground. The other residents in the building have not moved out, which means that this guy rarely leaves the room. I should be safe temporarily as long as I escape."
It is easier said than done. Han Fei looked at the blurry figure squatting at the bedroom door and had no courage to approach.
"No! The current situation is not the most desperate! It's blocking the door and can't get in. I can just kill time with it. I'll quit the game immediately after 16 minutes. If it goes in again, I'll run out of the bedroom!"
It was extremely urgent and his life was at stake, so Han Fei didn't care about the novice mission at all.
He slowly moved his eyes to the electronic clock on the wall of the living room, but before he could see clearly what time it was, a bone-chilling chill surged into his heart!
Han Fei's pupils shrank as he looked at the bedroom door again. The man squatting on the ground had disappeared.
At this time, Han Fei made the most correct decision. He did not foolishly turn on the light, nor did he step back, nor did he look around to find the other party. Instead, he jumped off the bed and ran towards the living room door!
He knew that the guy had entered the bedroom, and staying here for another second would be courting death. Instead of harboring any hope or being curious about what the other guy was, it would be better to leave quickly.
Racing against time, without stopping for a moment, Han Fei felt that he had never run so fast in his life.
He rushed to the security door and opened it as quickly as possible.
The sound of the door opening and closing lit up the voice-controlled light in the corridor, and dim light shone into the house, but Han Fei did not dare to look back. He just glanced into the house with his peripheral vision when he went downstairs.
In the shabby and deserted room, there was a man lying under the bedroom lamp with his limbs twisted at a strange angle. If Han Fei had turned on the light just now, he might have seen the man's pale and gloomy face!
Han Fei slammed the door shut, fearing that the other party would chase him out. After a while, he heard a creepy sound coming from inside the room, as if someone was scratching the door with their nails.
"That thing wants to come out?"
Not daring to stay, Han Fei ran downstairs with a kitchen knife. He knew that the old man downstairs was also problematic, but compared to the unknown things, the old man posed less threat to him.
Han Fei came to the third floor and smelled the familiar aroma of meat again. He found that the old man's door was half open and there were several black bags thrown at the door. These bags were different from the ones he had seen in the refrigerator before.
Taking a few steps back, his body hit the door of another house on the third floor. A cracked Bagua mirror fell from the top of the door and almost hit him.

Turning his head, Han Fei discovered that the door panels of this family were densely covered with talismans, which looked very scary.
"Is there no normal person in this building?"
Han Fei was constantly stimulated and his nerves were tense. At this moment, all the voice-controlled lights in the corridor went out. No matter how loud he made a sound, the light seemed to be broken and never came on again.
In the dead silence, Han Fei clearly heard the sound of the door being slowly pushed open, and something was approaching in the darkness.
His heartbeat was getting faster and faster, and Han Fei ran downstairs desperately. He could feel something chasing him in the dark.
Han Fei gritted his teeth and rushed to the first floor. Only then did he realize that the door to the corridor was locked and he could not leave the building at all.
Waving his arms, Han Fei chopped at the door lock with a kitchen knife until darkness enveloped him and something seemed to appear behind him.
His neck was slowly tightened. Han Fei seemed to be crazy on the surface, repeatedly hacking at the door lock, but in fact all his attention was focused on the attribute panel.
The coldness permeated his body, and Han Fei could no longer hold the kitchen knife. Just as he was about to lose consciousness, the gray exit button finally lit up.
The three hours are up!
"quit!"
Bang!
There was a loud bang in my mind, the world was spinning, and severe pain came from deep within my brain.
Han Fei endured the pain and took off the gaming helmet with both hands the moment he regained control of his body, and threw it heavily on the table.
Night fell, and the projection screen on the wall showed that it was 3:01 in the morning.
Han Fei entered the game during the day, but when he returned to reality it was already late at night.
Fatigue surged from all over his body, and Han Fei still had a feeling of unreality, as if he had not escaped from the game yet.
"Player No. 0000, please note! You have completed your first game in the first version of Perfect Life. Please speed up your exploration!"
A cold mechanical synthesized voice sounded deep in his mind. Han Fei was stunned when he heard it. He was sure that he had taken off his gaming helmet. The voice came directly in his head.
"How can it be?"
"Player No. 0000, please note! You have completed your first game. Please start your second game within 24 hours!"
"Why do I have this voice in my head?" Han Fei touched the back of his head which was in constant pain and picked up the heavy gaming helmet again. Only then did he see that the inside of the helmet was covered in blood.
Thinking carefully, Han Fei vaguely remembered that after he put on the helmet, something seemed to pierce his head.
"Is this attempted murder?" Han Fei took out his cell phone and prepared to call the police, but when he had the idea of calling the police, the voice in his mind came again.
"Player No. 0000, please note! Please do not disclose the game content to anyone, otherwise the black box will explode in your brain, ensuring that you will be brain dead within 0.001 seconds."
"Black box? Brain death?" Han Fei looked at the casual healing type label on the helmet and felt his head hurt even more.
