Chapter 6: I accidentally returned from adulthood to childhood
Mo Cheng was moving with a dark face, but he had no choice. No matter who it was, when walking in the forest full of wild beasts, his face would most likely not look good.
He could feel that there were many powerful predators in the Forest of Hel, and the aura they spread in the territory was enough to make Mo Cheng feel uncomfortable.
This is the top of the food chain that I cannot contend with at this moment.
Likewise, no one can walk alone through a forest filled with tigers and cheetahs without a gloomy face without holding a gun.
"This feeling, I've definitely been thrown into the inner circle of the Forest of Hell."
Feeling another powerful aura blocking the way ahead and not finding any gap to slip through, Mo Cheng had no choice but to turn around and go back. He didn't want to get into unnecessary conflict.
Especially when there is a high probability that you cannot win.
Based on his [Foreign] account's Cloud Climbing Monk as an assessment, Mo Cheng estimated that his strength was roughly in the third tier. With his ability to extract, he might be able to challenge opponents of higher levels, but the things in the inner circle of Hel Forest were all above his own challenge level.
Mo Cheng didn't even want to touch him. The level one trumpet from the North County Monastery traveled thousands of miles to play with Hogg, so he could only add one more life to Hogg as his record.
"Oh shit!"
He angrily hammered the big tree beside him, and without knowing the way, he went out of the inner ring of Hel Forest and bypassed the territory of powerful creatures. It would probably take several years to get out.
If he walked in a straight line, he could get out in ten days or so, but Mo Cheng had no such idea at all. After strengthening his dragon bloodline, the beasts here saw him as a top predator.
Mo Cheng knew very well that the wild beasts and powerful creatures in this place had never experienced the baptism of fire from the terrifying upright ape. Their fear and dread mostly came from their dragon bloodline. They regarded themselves as foreign beasts and intended to fight for territory.
If he went straight, Mo Cheng would be surrounded and hunted down before long.
Those guys value their territory so much that they would bite Mo Cheng to death if he broke into their territory.
What to do?
Mo Cheng didn't really want to be a savage for several years before running out of the forest, nor did he want to be chased and bitten by a group of wild beasts that he couldn't defeat.
Looking at the experience bar on the character panel, he secretly made up his mind that if all else failed, he would just kill the beasts he could defeat, upgrade and gain skill points to see if he could draw a skill like permanent invisibility to resolve his current predicament.
"Well, who has no time to slap me so hard?"
Suddenly, a lazy voice echoed in his ears, followed by the rustling of leaves. A vine tried to entangle Mo Cheng, but he subconsciously dodged it and jumped back, looking at the big tree in front of him vigilantly.
When the branches and leaves of the big tree were shaking, an old face appeared on the trunk. "It is very rude to disturb others' sleep."
"I'm sorry, sir. I was so angry just now because of my distress that I disturbed your sleep." Mo Cheng apologized first, and it took him a while to figure out that it was an oak tree. Then he guessed, "Excuse me, are you a druid or an oak wise man?"
Druids can not only transform into powerful beasts, some of them are extremely close to nature and have no desire to communicate with humans and civilization. Most of them find a deep mountain and transform into a tree to live with nature.
The Oak Sages are a kind of strange creatures. Some say they are the roots and clones of [Father Oak - Valar], who collect all the knowledge in the world for the Father Oak, a wise man who appeared since the Age of Gods.
Some people also say that they are creatures born from the oak tree under some unknown gathering of fragments of [knowledge].
Regardless of the saying, the Oak Sage has a good reputation on the continent of Khorvaire. The Oak Sage likes to exchange knowledge with the life forms that can communicate, exchanging the unknown for the unknown. If you have all the knowledge he has, but you have knowledge that he doesn't have, then he is willing to give you a ticket.
A qualification to meet [Father of Oak - Valar].
But it is a rare thing, and it is only possible when an Oak Sage is born and you happen to be next to him. The newly born Oak Sage has very little knowledge, and the objects they first exchange knowledge with are the beasts in the mountains and forests that have little wisdom.
Next came the goblins, ogres and other less clear-headed races. Later, when their knowledge base was sufficient, they would seek out humans, elves and other races with heritage to exchange with.
"I am Luke the Oak Sage." Like a person who was awakened from a deep sleep, Luke the Oak Sage waved a branch around his eyes, as if rubbing his eyes. "Unknown for unknown, I think you should know the rules, young dragon."
"Um?"
"Young dragon?"
Luke the Oak Sage's eyes widened like an office worker who suddenly realized that today was not Sunday but Monday and it was already ten o'clock. "Dragon! How could there be a dragon!"
"How can there still be dragons in this era?!"
Oak Sage Luke seemed to be suffering from epilepsy, with its branches and trunk shaking wildly, making people worry that this ancient tree, which looked quite old, would suddenly break with a "crack".
This inevitably leads to a question: if a tree has epilepsy and breaks itself by shaking , is it considered homicide or suicide?
"The experiment of the Dragon Worship Church was successful? No, that's not right. That kid is a bad guy. He won't let anyone else succeed except himself."
"A backup plan left by the dragons? No, no, no, those egomaniacs weren't even willing to marry girls from their own race, leaving half-dragons everywhere. They wouldn't have that idea."
"What is it? What is it? What is it?"
"I am so curious, young dragon, where are you from?"
"let me see."
After saying that, Oak Sage Luke's eyes seemed to turn into an endless starry sky. Mo Cheng saw endless starlight in it. Every ray of starlight was narrating something, telling the trajectory of the [future] and [destiny].
“No, no, no!!!”
"There is no past, no future, nothing, nothing. Hahahaha, so interesting, so unknown."
Luke the Oak Sage laughed as if he was sick, and the sparse leaves on his head seemed to have fallen off a lot. Mo Cheng silently tensed his muscles and was on guard. According to general theory, the tree would probably lose all its three views, and then attack him like crazy, and probably keep saying that he shouldn't exist.
He had encountered this scenario before.
After laughing, Oak Sage Luke did not launch an attack as Mo Cheng had expected. He stroked his face and hair with his hands (branches), and found that a lot of leaves had fallen off his tree, which was not dense to begin with. He had to wave the branches to collect the fallen leaves, wondering if he wanted to stick them back.
Do trees also have the problem of hair loss and baldness?
