Chapter 513: Penance and Sacrifice
You opened your mouth wide, staring in disbelief as the entire world was swallowed up by the arrow you shot.
The flames continue to spread towards you, the planet shatters, and the huge core is exposed. Even the sun shatters under your arrow and then turns into powder.
Not only that, as the waves of destruction spread, you found that the stars shining in this world gradually disappeared, turning into the most basic dust in the universe.
But that's not all, you find that space begins to distort and fragment, and the flow of time begins to become strange.
Then, everything around you completely disappeared, leaving only the place where you and your Moon-Dearer teacher stood, safe and sound.
"This is part of your true power, Arusha, and this is why I warned you that you must use your power with caution."
Your master told you calmly
You turned your head in a daze, looking at your master, you really couldn't believe it.
"But this cannot be explained by careful use, teacher. My arrows in our world..."
"Because our world has the Trinity God, Arusha, the power of the Trinity God will suppress these magic weapons and attacks that can destroy the world, but this also has its limits. Once two forces that can destroy the world collide with the will to destroy each other, then our world will still be destroyed."
"this……"
You never imagined that your world could be so dangerous.
Because as far as you are concerned, you don't find it difficult to learn this trick.
"Moreover, the Trinity can guarantee that, except for the necessary time and the necessary people, no one else can master the power that can destroy the world. And even if someone who has learned these powers wants to destroy the world, the Trinity will take action before the world is destroyed - unless Shiva thinks that the world is beyond salvation."
"So when will the world be hopeless?"
You asked.
"When lawlessness is rampant, the world is destroyed. You should have encountered Ashura before."
You nodded. You had indeed met people named Asura, but you felt that they were no different from ordinary people. Some were strong, and some were weak.
You think they should be local indigenous people, or driven out savages or something like that.
"Asuras are illegal. They don't follow the right path, they only respect their own desires, and have no shame or self-respect. But at the same time, if Asuras can sacrifice for all living beings, suppress their own desires, and move forward for the righteousness, then as long as they prove themselves through asceticism and bring welfare to the world, they can become gods. As for Asuras, some of them fell by themselves, and some were directly caused by the negative forces of the universe. So the power gap between them is very large. When the negative forces fill the universe, it is time for destruction."
You are even more confused.
"Then what is Dharma? Teacher, is it Dharma for Kshatriyas to bully Vaishyas? Will Dharma protect these Kshatriyas and Brahmins who bully Vaishyas, Jianmin, and Shudras? And are penance and sacrifice really useful to the gods? Why does the Trimurti respond to penance and sacrifice?"
You are very curious because in the stories your teacher told you, many times, ascetics, especially Asura ascetics, would ask for blessings that would bring trouble to the world.
Then go and beat up the Emperor of Heaven.
You have made a careful statistical analysis and found that basically all Asura leaders who have succeeded in their hard training will go and beat up Indra, the Emperor of Heaven.
Even many practitioners practiced hardship and bestowed blessings, or curses, all in order to beat up the Asuras.
You even thought at one point that these data on ascetics were historical records of the Emperor of Heaven being beaten.
"Dharma is to give the world rules, to make life in this world better, to make oneself and others kind and fair, to pursue what one wants equally, and to not do anything wrong even if one fails. The birth of the Kshatriyas and Brahmins and their mutual oppression... my... disciples, these are things that the gods and mortals who manage the three realms need to consider. In the eyes of the Three Gods, everyone is actually equal. It's just that sometimes, we are forced to change our attitudes according to the ideas of the world."
He paused, then continued.
"As for penance and sacrifice, they are actually the same thing. My disciple, faith is powerful."
The Moon-Dear Man was not angry, but continued to teach earnestly.
"Faith opened up the universe, faith made the universe exist. What do you think the Three-phase God is? My disciple, it is the faith of the universe, or the soul. The faith generated by the soul creates everything in this world. Kindness and justice can make the rules of this world more perfect and the products more abundant. But when our universe expands and draws nutrients from the 'nothingness', all kinds of negative forces will also appear in this world. If there is no neutralization of various forces of kindness and justice, then the world will be destroyed directly.
And if there are enough beliefs in kindness and justice, it can make our universe stronger and more stable... But it is difficult for ordinary people to have such beliefs, so sacrifices and asceticism are inevitable."
"Unfortunately, this is the objective rule of the world. The more good thoughts there are, the larger the world will be. As the world becomes larger, the more negative emotions will be generated. Only when a balance is reached, that is, when all lives in the world are kind and fair, will the world be completely stable. Therefore, the Three-phase God destroyed and created the world countless times, and took all people's souls to the next world, in order to create a world that will exist forever and be filled with kindness and justice. And we, all people in this world, also sincerely hope that this world will appear."
"Practice and sacrifice are to help these people accumulate and generate positive emotions. Practice and sacrifice will only be useful if you have the belief of dedication and making the world a better place, and the Three-phase God will repay you with protection and blessings. But you must know that if you practice penance simply to torture yourself, or practice penance with illegal desires, the blessings brought by it will inevitably bring bad consequences. And these people will become a warning to those who practice penance."
Now you understand why this world is full of asceticism and sacrifices, and why even though some asceticism requirements are quite harsh, they will still be satisfied by the Three-phase God.
"Then curses and blessings are the power of mortals' beliefs? And those immortals are the ones who have mastered this power of belief and can make the universe a better place?"
You figured out the answer to another question yourself, causing your master to nod in satisfaction.
"Yes, that's it."
"That means, if I succeed in my ascetic practice, even if I make Shiva the younger brother of the Emperor of Heaven, such an outrageous request can be granted?"
You asked tentatively anyway.
You found that your master's smile was a little forced, as if he cared that he had told you so many things about the Three-phase God, and you were still obsessed with the Emperor of Heaven, but he still answered you.
"Yes, that's right."
