Chapter 5 The First Person to Eat Crabs
Seeing Song Yang staring at the TV and ignoring his words, Gallo couldn't help but feel worried and said to Haley beside him, "Song, is there really something wrong with your brain?"
Haley saw Song Yang's focused expression, like an exquisite oil painting. She felt that the bitches she knew would lose their restraint after seeing this scene.
"It's just because of a woman. I'll call a few more girls tonight. I guarantee that Song will forget about that skinny sparrow tomorrow!" Haley said to Gallo.
"Song?!" Gallo patted Song Yang on the shoulder.
Song Yang turned around at this time, looked at Gallo and said something incoherent, "Someone has to do it, why can't it be me?!"
Hearing this nonsensical remark, Gallo became even more worried. He felt that he should ask an Indian wizard to communicate with Song Yang or something. He heard that there were many things that the hospital could not diagnose.
As a country where everyone believes in religion, even the president holds a scripture in his hand when he takes office. Don't say that people in this area are not superstitious, otherwise there wouldn't be so many cults, wizards, psychics and the like running rampant in this area, defrauding people of their fortunes.
Song Yang didn't know what was going on in Gallo and Haley's minds. At this moment, an idea came to his mind that made him both nervous and excited.
Now is the eve of the global Internet wave. Those well-known technology giants are either just established or are still struggling to find a way out.
Before this, Song Yang had never thought about standing up at this moment and confronting those big names who had appeared on TV, in magazines, and even in textbooks.
He was just an ordinary guy from a university with some technical talent. His previous wish was to be able to work in a first-tier Internet company and make a living after graduation.
And now, Song Yang saw a road appearing in front of him, which made him both excited and uneasy. He didn't know what would happen if he faced those once famous bigwigs.
But just now, Song Yang suddenly remembered a sentence in his mind: Someone has to do it, why can't it be him?
This made Song Yang's heart beat fast. If he stood up at this time, in the future history of the Internet, he would not be known as a revered Taoist figure, but at least he would be able to leave his name, Song Yang, in the global Internet industry.
Thinking of this, Song Yang no longer hesitated. There was basically nothing for him to hesitate about now. At most, he would waste half a year, and then he would not be able to go to university and would have to work as a waiter at KFC. But if it succeeded, then the situation would be the other way around. All major universities would invite Song Yang to visit for inspection.
"Gallo, please buy me the latest issues of 'Popular Magazine', 'Wired', 'New York Observer', and 'Computer Magazine'!"
Looking at Song Yang, Gallo became even more worried. He knew that Song Yang didn't like these things at all before. The stadium, parties and girls were Song Yang's favorites. Now he was going to give up tonight's party for that pile of crappy books. If this wasn't a problem, then what was?
Gallo looked at Song Yang and said tentatively, "Song, I remember there is a famous psychic on 13th Street. Maybe we need to go there!"
Song Yang ignored Gallo's nonsense. He prepared to go downstairs and buy all the recent science and economic newspapers.
Before going out, Song Yang changed his shoes while saying to Gallo and Haley, "This is very important. It's not only related to me, but also to whether your repair shop can be turned into a racing company. Haley, whether you can enter Hollywood depends on this!"
After Song Yang left, Gallo, Haley, and Ryan looked at each other in bewilderment. Ryan was stunned for a moment, then laughed at Gallo and Haley, "You didn't really believe what he said!"
"But why do I feel that this time, Song might really have hope!" Haley muttered softly. This time, Song Yang was more serious than ever before. Of course, this had something to do with Song Yang's appearance. If the same words came out of Ryan's mouth, she would just treat it as fart.
"Believe me, Gallo," Ryan took a sip of his drink and said self-deprecatingly, "Galo, I don't know what this guy Song wants to do, but you have also seen the experience of our racing company in the past few years. Do you think he can do it?"
Looking at Ryan who kept shaking his head, Gallo also felt unsure, but he still refuted Ryan for Song Yang, " No matter what Song wants to do, I support him this time. When we started this racing company, no one supported us either!"
Seeing Gallo and Haley standing up, Ryan couldn't help but shook his head, thinking that there would be no chance of attending the party in the evening, so he prepared to get up and go to another place.
It was already late at night, and the lights were still on in Gallo's small apartment. Haley had fallen asleep long ago, and Gallo was bored and accompanied Song Yang. There was already a pile of wine bottles and cigarette butts on the floor.
Seeing Song Yang finally put down the last magazine and began to frown, Gallo couldn't help but ask, "Song, what are you going to do?"
Gallo was observing Song Yang. He was not afraid that Song Yang would do something ridiculous, but he was really afraid that Song Yang would get involved in something unscientific. He was still thinking about whether to ask a psychic to come and calm the situation.
If Song Yang knew that Gallo was thinking about this crap, he would really pour a few bottles of whiskey on him to cool him down.
Song Yang took a cigarette from Gallo's box and took a puff. It was his first time to smoke this thing and he couldn't help coughing, but he felt much more energetic.
He knew that he had to give an explanation to Gallo and Greg, and he would need their help next.
"Today I was watching the debate between Professor Tristan of New York University and Barnard on TV, and an idea came to my mind: maybe I have a way to solve the current dilemma of the Internet!"
Song Yang took a puff of his cigarette, took a big sip of his wine and said, this thing is definitely not healthy, but it is refreshing enough. Song Yang had never experienced this in his previous life.
Listening to Song Yang's words, Gallo opened his eyes wide. He thought he had a passing IQ, but he found the problem after just watching TV. He suspected that they were watching the same TV, otherwise why did he only see soap operas and celebrity entertainment news, while Song Yang could find the problem.
Gallo opened his mouth. He wanted to ask Song Yang how he saw these things, but then he thought, Song Yang inherited his genius father's genes, so being able to see these things seemed like just a small problem!
After all, Gallo has some experience. Although the racing company he works for is basically a makeshift team, Gallo knows how difficult it is to get things done.
"What are you going to do?" Gallo asked Song Yang.
Song Yang lay on the sofa and stretched his tired body. "I can only find Uncle Greg and get the compensation money!"
Song Yang knew that Greg had left a sum of compensation from the death of Song Yang's father and mother, and Greg had never touched that money over the years.
Greg's character is still guaranteed, not to mention that he is also a lawyer. Not to mention that he has treated Song Yang as his own son over the years, but he treats Song Yang the same as Gallo and Logan, and he has never lacked food and clothing. Greg once said that the money was for Song Yang to go to college.
Hearing that Song Yang was actually eyeing the money, Gallo gave Song Yang a look that told him to wish him the best. He knew Greg's temper and he was not someone who was so easy to talk to.
Gallo acted helpless. If it were Gallo and Gregg asking for the money, there would probably be a father-son gunfight that would move the world.
"It's up to you to talk to the old man, but if you need my help with anything else, just tell me!"
Although Gallo supported him verbally, he actually felt the same as Ryan and did not have much hope for Song Yang. Every year, there are so many people starting businesses in America, but only one in ten thousand can really succeed, not to mention that Song Yang has no experience or funds. Gallo felt that after this wave of enthusiasm passed, Song Yang might give up.
"There is indeed something that I need your help with," Song Yang searched his memory, "I remember that you have a classmate in the computer science department at the University of Houston named..."
"Jaden, Bledsoe, Jaden, you've met him. Remember when I took you to the prom, you also hooked up with a senior girl. She's also at the University of Houston now. She even asked Jaden about you before!"
Speaking of this, Gallo was no longer sleepy. He immediately remembered it and started talking about it with great interest.
Song Yang's face turned dark after hearing this. What the hell was this? Why did he feel that this predecessor was so unreliable? He didn't know where this predecessor had set up bombs for him.
"It's this Jaden. Can you help me contact him? I may need to meet him!" Song Yang quickly interrupted Gallo's recollection.
When Gallo heard this, he immediately said, "No problem, anytime, Jaden is my brother too!"
Song Yang automatically filtered out Gallo's words. It was useless to say these now. Only when the US dollar was really involved could a person's true face be seen.
After being sleepy all night, Gallo went back to his room, while Song Yang lay on the sofa in the living room. Now Song Yang couldn't sleep at all. When he thought about going on stage and colliding with those characters in the textbooks, Song Yang couldn't help tossing and turning.
In the morning, with dark circles under his eyes, Song Yang went to Devers School. His mind was not on the classroom at all. He did not go to the baseball training ground in the afternoon. He only said a few words to Jenny, with whom he had been playing closely in the past few days, and then hurried back to Greg's house.
"Aunt Dana!" As soon as Song Yang entered the door, he looked towards the study room.
Dana was also surprised to see Song Yang come back so early. Song Yang seldom came back so early, and it was normal for him not to come back at night. Seeing Song Yang looking at the study, Dana couldn't help but wonder if Song Yang had done something weird again. Dana wouldn't be surprised if he brought her a grandchild one day.
"Greck is in the study. Is there something wrong? Do you want me to talk to him?" asked Daana.
"No need," Song Yang sighed, "I'll go talk to Uncle Greg!"
When Song Yang entered the study, as Dana expected, within less than two minutes, Greg's angry voice was heard from the study.
