Chapter 5: First Love 2
"No, I'm not a vampire."
Seeing the silver dagger stabbing towards me coldly, I subconsciously raised my foot and kicked it hard, "Jiusha, listen to my explanation."
I didn't want to give up easily. Even though the silver dagger kept swinging at me, I still dodged and tried hard to explain.
"What's there to explain? I saw it all with my own eyes. I just didn't expect that even a dagger wouldn't be enough to kill you. In just half a year, you've become so powerful. You must have paid a huge price."
Jiusha smiled coldly at me and pulled off the badge on his arm. Then he activated the small hidden button on it, and suddenly, the small badge turned into a silver soft sword: "The blood clan is most afraid of silver. If you are willing to take my sword, I can consider listening to your explanation."
Jiusha attacked and taunted, "How about it, would you consider agreeing to it?"
Take a sword from him? Who would prove it this way? It's not like they're risking their lives!
As I dodged, I realized sadly that Jiusha didn't believe what he said at all. He had already determined that I was the vampire who made a pact with the vampires in order to survive, mutated and then hurt humans.
"Why, why do you think of me like this? Am I such a person in your mind?" I yelled at him.
"You are no longer the Qiqi I know." Jiusha said without hesitation, "In my eyes, you are now an alien that endangers humanity. I must eliminate you."
In my eyes, you are now a foreign object that endangers humanity and someone I must eliminate...
Yeah?
I slowed down my evasive movements and looked at Jiusha in disbelief: Is this really the boy I like? He overturned all his previous perceptions of me based on the few "facts" he had seen, without even giving me a chance to explain?
"Good opportunity." Jiusha's eyes flashed with a cold light, accurately capturing the opportunity when I panicked, and the soft sword flashing with cold light stabbed towards me without hesitation.
I watched the silver sword coming straight at me without hesitation. With no way to avoid it, I suddenly felt despair.
Even the person I’ve liked for so long is planning to give up on me. Do I need to persist any longer?
“Woof woof woof, woof woof woof…”
Just as I closed my eyes, waiting for the silver sword to pierce my body, a crazy dog barking sounded at the door. Jiusha paused, and then a wolfhound rushed into the room and pounced on Jiusha.
"Ah——" Jiusha cried out and had to give up the attack and retreat to avoid the wolfhounds' attack. As he retreated, two, three... a dozen dogs rushed into the room and barked at Jiusha non-stop. Each of them looked ready to attack at any time.
"Damn it!" Jiusha looked at the dog that suddenly appeared fiercely, "Did you do that?"
Intuitively, he "attributed" the chaos to me.
I opened my mouth to explain, but thought he wouldn't listen, so I gave up. I knew in my heart that even if I didn't do it, it was at least partially related to me.
I know of only one person who can command such a large group of dogs.
"Woof woof woof..." Another burst of dog barking sounded at the door.
"Anything else?" Jiusha couldn't help but let out a strange cry.
I looked towards the door and saw Ragud sitting in a wheelchair. Two dogs were holding the rope in their mouths and pulling the wheelchair towards me.
The corners of my mouth couldn't help but twitch: Who is so genius to come up with such an idea?
"Lagude, you're okay!" I looked at him in surprise. Although his face was still very pale, he had at least woken up from his coma. And judging from his angry look, he should be in good spirits.
At least, I still have the energy to be angry, right?
"I just lost a little too much blood just now. It's not a big deal. You don't need to be so nervous." Lagood looked at me and comforted me.
A little bit of blood loss? My mouth twitched again: Although I was unconscious during that period, just by looking at the blood all over my mouth and body after waking up, I knew that I must have sucked a lot of blood from this guy. Maybe I stopped only when I couldn't suck any more. So how could it be just a little blood loss?
But with such a large amount of blood loss and his already weak body, I don't know how he recovered in such a short time? Could it be that I haven't been to the hospital for half a year, and the medical level has suddenly advanced to the international leading level?
"Who are you?" Jiusha asked with a frown as he looked at Lagude who suddenly broke in .
"I am Kiki's classmate, and also the victim you mentioned, Mr. Hunter." Lagude glanced at the silver soft sword in Jiusha's hand and said in an unfriendly tone.
Maybe it was because he saw Jiusha attacking me, so Lagude was exuding his disgust for Jiusha without any concealment. It was as if he and Jiusha were born incompatible. I almost had the illusion that the person Jiusha had been attacking was not me, but him.
"You know I'm a vampire hunter?" Jiusha looked at Lagude warily.
Uh, yes, Lagude just came in, how could he know? I looked at Lagude in surprise, but saw that after a moment of panic, he smiled smugly at Jiusha.
"Come on, that's how it's described in novels. Vampire hunters are always with silver or something like that, just like annoying people always like annoying things." Lagude gave Jiusha a look that said, "Don't think others are as stupid as you just because you're stupid."
The corners of my mouth twitched uncontrollably again: This guy, can you please stop talking like that?
"You..." Jiusha was angered by the bluntness of Lagude's words, "Since you know everything, you should know that Qiqi is no longer your classmate. Now she is an alien who wants to suck your blood. I advise you to stay away from her for your own life."
Nine Sands——
I glanced at Jiusha, and a trace of embarrassment flashed in my eyes. Not only did he want to kill me, but he didn't even want to leave me a friend.
"How can you say that about Kiki? She's not the kind of person who would hurt others at will." Lagood slapped the wheelchair angrily. Uh - although his tone was very powerful, his current posture was always a little bit lacking.
"Qiqi didn't want to be like this, and she would never intentionally hurt others. Just now, she sucked my blood willingly. Yes, that's right, I did it voluntarily." Lagude raised his head, puffed out his chest, and said to Jiusha righteously.
"Lagud!" My heart, which was hurt by Jiusha's words, miraculously felt warm little by little in Lagud's roar.
This guy is obviously the only person I have hurt from beginning to end, and he is the one who is most qualified to blame me, but at the same time, he is the one who protects me the most and believes in me.
Woohoo…Why this guy?
If I say I'm not touched, I'd be lying. Even though I had sucked almost all of his blood out of him, and he had just come back from a near-death experience, he could stand up to me without hesitation, explain things to me, defend me, and protect me. I had no other words to say except trust.
How could he do so much for me?
"Qiqi has never hurt anyone, nor will she hurt anyone in the future. Everything she did to me was voluntary. In fact, I would be happy to do anything for her, so please don't meddle in other people's business, Mr. Hunter," Lagood continued.
"I don't care what your relationship is," Jiusha looked at me and Lagude with his green eyes, "Anyway, as long as she is a vampire and she has attacked humans, I must destroy her. This is my duty."
"I told you, Kiki didn't hurt me. How come you don't understand what I'm saying? No, no, you don't understand what I'm saying." Lagood shouted.
Uh - I looked at him speechlessly: this guy was so excited that he couldn't tell the difference between human words and nonsense words.
"You're a vampire hunter, right? As far as I know, the principle for hunting vampires is that they have done something harmful to humanity, right?" When the two of them couldn't hold back, Akashi's voice rang out slowly, "Since Lagude has said that everything was his own will, then Kiki can't be said to have harmed humans, so naturally you have no right to hunt her, not to mention..."
Teacher Akashi walked in slowly with graceful steps.
The moment he came in , all the dogs that had been staring at Jiusha lowered their heads and walked out of the room in a line.
Ah... I screamed in amazement in my heart: Such a magical superpower, wuwuwu, if possible, can you let me become like this...that what...a werewolf?
Even I didn't realize that at this moment, because of Lagude's protection, I was not so resistant to the mutation of my body.
"Akashi, teacher?" Jiusha looked at the dogs' reactions in surprise, then looked at Teacher Akashi, a hint of thought flashing in his eyes.
"Don't think about it so complicatedly. Just as you can be a hidden vampire hunter, a noble like me who is obviously not an ordinary person can of course be even more extraordinary." Teacher Akashi said these boastful words in a very calm tone without any guilt.
I walked silently to Lagude's side, and while the two were talking, I looked him over again. After making sure that he was really fine except for being a little weak, I stood beside him with confidence and watched the conversation between Akashi Sensei and Kusa.
I don't know why, but the more I interact with the people from the Human Research Institute, the more I trust Mr. Akashi, as if anything can be easily solved in his hands.
In fact, that's the case so far.
