Chapter 4: Changes in Ionia
The first time he "traveled through time", he wanted to become stronger, so he trained in swordsmanship and chi in that dream-like world.
When he "traveled" for the second time, he wanted to play it safe and live a peaceful life, so he ended up living a peaceful life.
"Will there be changes due to my choice? That's really interesting. But what exactly is that river? Did the energy and spirit I sent out go to another world?"
Thinking of this, Li Ke tapped his head lightly. The memories that appeared out of seemed like something in a dream, but they would also inadvertently affect his actions.
It was a very strange feeling, really like being in a dream, but dreams could still affect his body.
But the existence of Qi is real, and the vitality fed back is also real. With a little effort, he can feel that he is about one tenth stronger than before. Although he has not surpassed the limit of human beings, the "Qi" he has obtained can enable him to perform actions beyond human beings.
“Although I cannot get feedback from my spiritual power, as long as I continue to practice, my body will continue to be nourished by vitality, and my spiritual power will naturally become stronger.”
Lying on the bed, Li Ke's heart was completely free of any haze. For him, the extraordinary road that had been inaccessible in the past was now open in front of him, which really made him very excited.
It was a pity that his energy was not enough to support the next "travel", so he fell asleep on the bed with excitement.
But just as he was sleeping to recover his strength, the turmoil in Ionia began.
In Elder Suma's hall, an elder from another village watched Yongen brew tea for him. While enjoying the fragrance of the tea, he looked at Elder Suma in front of him with a serious expression.
"It is said that the Noxian army is about to land on the land of Ionia. Some elders of Presidium want you to lead others to resist the Noxians."
Elder Suma raised his eyebrows slightly. The Noxians have been coveting Ionia for a long time, but this is the first time they have taken such a large-scale action.
"But, before the guests show hostility, prepare the swords. To be honest, I am concerned whether this behavior will lead to a fight."
"I am worried about this, but Noxus's evil ambitions are obvious. Even a three-year-old child can understand what they are up to!"
The guest seemed a little agitated, and he didn't even want to drink the soothing tea in front of him.
"Yes, they came here just to invade."
Elder Suma sighed softly. He certainly knew that these Noxians had bad intentions, but he still refused implicitly before, using the "peace" that the Ionians could never refuse to persuade the people in front of him to retreat.
Because he knew one thing very well.
Once they join the battle, their disciples will die in the battle with the Noxians.
He is old now, no longer the lone swordsman who traveled the world with passion. Now he is an elder who looks after his own dojo and trains the children of his birthplace, so that they can survive in the dangerous world of Ionia.
But unfortunately, the Wind Control Swordsmanship still has no good successor. The only one who can inherit his legacy is Yasuo...
Elder Suma looked at Yasuo, who was listening attentively in the courtyard, wanting to hear his permission for his disciples to go into battle and kill the enemy, and could not help but sigh softly.
What the young disciples saw was the glory and passion after killing the enemy. For them, this was an opportunity to prove themselves.
But for this old man, it meant sending his own children to the battlefield with his own hands.
If Yasuo died on the battlefield, the Wind Sword Art would be completely lost. If Yongen died on the battlefield, no one would be able to stop the reckless and arrogant Yasuo.
His wind had reached the point where it was time to stop, but the wind for these children was not yet ready to fly, so even though he knew that not allowing these children to go to the battlefield would make them unhappy, he still prevented them from showing their martial arts.
But Elder Suma still didn't want to start a war himself.
Especially since this matter requires sending the children to the battlefield personally.
"But Elder Suma, what should we do if we lose the initiative?"
The visitor was pressing forward, and Elder Suma didn't know how to respond. If he was younger, even just ten years younger, he would definitely agree with the other party and take his disciples to the coast without saying a word to stop those Noxians.
But he is old.
"No, it's not the style of Yufeng Swordsmanship to start a fight without reason, so I'm sorry I can't obey your order."
His words made the visitor's face turn ugly, but they both knew that this fight would not end so easily. Because the Noxians had not arrived yet, the visitor felt that he had enough time to persuade Elder Suma to revolt. And Elder Suma also had absolute confidence that the visitor would return empty-handed.
Because he lives with his children.
Despite this , Elder Suma couldn't help but look at the room where Li Ke was. He could rest assured about the other disciples, but not Li Ke and Yasuo.
Yasuo's problem is personality, while Li Ke's problem is physical. Sometimes Su Ma often thinks, if Li Ke has Yasuo's qualifications, or Yasuo has Li Ke's calm personality, what a great thing it would be.
Now that war is imminent, Li Ke's strength is not enough for him to protect himself in the war. As for Yasuo, his character problems can be taught by himself.
So it's time for Li Ke to leave and go to a place that will not be affected by the war.
Listening to the words of his childhood friend and current lobbyist, Elder Su Ma put his mind on Li Ke. He planned to send a letter to let Li Ke live in another village to avoid possible future battles.
And just in case...
Su Ma looked at Yasuo who was acting nonchalantly and sighed slightly.
"Let's give the scroll of the secret technique of the Wind Control Sword Technique to Li Ke for safekeeping."
After making the decision, Suma continued to talk to the lobbyist with a smile, but this conversation would not produce any results at all. The final outcome was that the lobbyist left Elder Suma's temple angrily in the evening without even having dinner.
When Li Ke woke up, it was just when the matter was spreading among the disciples. Even the disciple who brought him food couldn't help but talk about something related. Li Ke, who was very happy at first, suddenly thought of a tragedy that would happen in the future.
"Is Noxus going to invade? Does that mean... Elder Suma is going to die?"
Looking towards Elder Su Ma's room, Li Ke silently clenched his fists.
