Chapter 22 Secret Weapon
Chapter 22 Secret Weapon
The complete form of Cocolia reigned over Everwinter Ridge. The four men who had been able to tie suddenly became powerless. The pressure now fell on Jeppard's shoulders, and he dared not retreat a single step while carrying the violin case.
The situation off the stage is like a race of life and death, and on the stage it's still a stalemate. The Joker has now become a real powder keg, which can explode at any time, and this guy has to drag the entire earth down with him.
"Let go of the controller, you won't get anything." Batman took a step forward slowly, testing the Joker's bottom line.
"Why? With this thing, the whole world will bow to me. If I want it to snow in Gotham today, the sun will not shine brightly." The Joker spread his arms as if he wanted to take the whole world into his arms.
"Do you really think you can control the core of the star? You can't even control Cocolia." Batman calmly pointed out the Joker's flaw.
Star Core never promised anything to the Joker. He just seduced the Joker's desire for destruction through mental pollution. To Star Core, something that can be easily hooked has no trading value.
Being able to become a part of the Rift Valley Void Soldier is the greatest gift that the Star Core has given to the Joker.
But this does not prevent the Joker from using the star core's skin as a banner. For a madman, there is nothing that cannot be used. Besides, isn't this very useful?
"Hurry up, Batman! We can't hold on for much longer!" Seele shouted from the audience, and she straightened up, twisted her waist, and hugged Bronya to avoid Cocolia's attack.
"But Batman, you have no choice." The Joker pronounced like a winner: "Now, it's time to invite our dear Robin out. Who told you to let him join our dear little game?"
"Don't come out, Robin." Batman ordered. If Robin came out now, the situation would only become more passive. Besides, this guy was always good at beating the snake with a stick. If he compromised this time, who knows what outrageous conditions he would put forward next time.
The Joker raised his time bomb controller again, but this time Batman was prepared. He swung his cloak violently and threw out three bat darts under the cover of the cloak. A cold light flashed, and a bloody scratch appeared on the Joker's wrist.
"Ah!" the clown screamed, his finger subconsciously trying to press the button.
But another bat dart came unexpectedly, cutting off the Joker's fingers, and was thrown into the air by inertia along with the broken controller in his palm.
"From the moment I stepped onto this stage, I have blocked all electronic signals here, including your controller." Batman had more bat darts between his fingers.
The players behind the scenes clapped their hands: "Is this really technically possible?"
System: "Don't ask me about the protagonist's halo."
It seemed that Batman had dealt a successful blow. Not only did he not violate his principle of not killing people, he also perfectly rescued the kidnapped controller. Players were about to open champagne, but the Joker laughed abruptly.
His fingers quickly grew bones, then flesh, and finally skin. His nails grew a little slowly, but they still jumped back to their original position.
"What a great shot, dear." The clown stood there as if nothing had happened, shaking his intact fingers.
"Is it the power of the star core? Your recovery won't be so fast." Batman was very sure that although the previous Joker had the power of the Dionysus factor and could be revived infinitely, the overall recovery level was still calculated in hours, which was far from such a rapid speed.
"That's right, Xinghe is such a beautiful girl, she is kind and cares about the ruthlessly hurt Uncle Clown~" The Clown also admitted it frankly.
The player in the consciousness space: "You're talking nonsense, I clearly gave you the pharmacist buff!"
System: "Why did you give him the Pharmacist's Blessing?"
The player smiled sinisterly: "Of course it's to pave the way for the Luofu plot. It makes sense for us to hunt for abundance, right? If outsiders couldn't harm world characters, I wouldn't be so roundabout."
The Joker, who came to a completely wrong conclusion based on wrong conditions, naively thought that he had won the heart of the Star Core, or at least obtained a little promise, so he began to detonate the explosives tied to the controller with his bare hands without any scruples.
“Boom”, “Boom”, “Boom”, “Boom”…
There were successive explosions on the controller. The Beloberg foursome, who were beaten and fled in panic by Cocolia, had no time to pay attention to it, but Tim, who was hiding in the dark, was extremely anxious.
His vision was blocked and he could not see the situation on the console clearly. The surveillance camera that had been disconnected in order to block the remote control radio waves of the time bomb had not been restored yet, and there was silence in the headset.
This is the ultimate moment to test a person's judgment. Tim can choose to trust Batman and wait quietly for the explosion to end; or he can choose to rush into the battlefield and perhaps with a bit of luck defeat the Joker and avenge his former Robin.
It is difficult to describe what Tim was thinking in that clip. Was it the reflection of the Batman he chased in his childhood, the black veil hung after his parents' accident, Robin's obituary published in the newspaper, or was it that he finally knocked on the door of Wayne Manor and firmly extended his hands to Batman?
The road to being a hero is full of blood, tears and pain. Only those with both wisdom and courage can go far on this road. Tim does not lack courage and wisdom. His biggest problem is that he has too little experience and too little strength.
He made up his mind and activated the Batfighter.
The black wings soared into the sky again like a bat. The Batfighter passed over the control console at an angle that could cause the most tragic traffic accident. The wind it brought dispersed the smoke that filled the control console, allowing Batman to see the situation on the console clearly again.
There is only one usable line left on the controller that seals the star core. Once the link is broken, the star core will see the light of day again.
A time bomb with a flashing red light began to tick.
"What a shame, you're about to lose, Batman. If the bird's wings could flap faster, maybe you could escape this disaster."
The clown, whose bones were broken by the explosion, sat in front of the controller like a puddle of mud, coughing up blood every time he spoke.
"Having a shield and stuff is cheating...ugh."
Batman knocked the Joker unconscious with great force, and the dull, resonant sound told everyone that the Joker had a bad head and should be thrown into the trash by the squirrels.
The time bomb has 5 minutes left.
After carefully tying up the Joker and locking him in the trunk of the Batplane, Batman now has to find a way to repair the broken controller. The Star Core senses the danger and releases more Rift Valley energy.
"I will wipe out your existence!" Cocolia in her complete form waved her hand, and large pieces of icicles attacked Batman. The attack with imaginary energy was completely incomparable to the Joker's bomb, and the shield value dropped very quickly.
But Batman couldn't get out of the way.
Behind him is the final line of the controller, which is as fragile as spider silk in the face of such a powerful attack. The dismantling of the time bomb is also extremely difficult. The Joker seems to have anticipated such a situation. This bomb is far more complicated than the others.
The Batfighter flew back again and used its body to block Cocolia's attack.
"Come down, Robin!" Batman ordered.
The door of the fighter plane opened from the side, and Tim rolled from the exit to the control console, grabbing his weapon.
"B, the Batplane won't last long." Tim said. The Joker was still in the trunk, but it didn't matter.
As he spoke, he handed two weapons to Batman. One was the ice pick that Ling could provide him, which he had occasionally used when breaking into the Iron Guard restricted area before. The other was a strange-shaped object with ice-blue mineral marrow that extended randomly and could barely be used as a fire stick.
Now they either had to burst out with inspiration and break through the limits of the human body to repair the controller, or they had to use these two poor cold weapons to fight against Cocolia in the audience.
Judging from the fighting power displayed by the Beloberg quartet, if they were to go on the field, they would simply be a drag.
Batman saw the fire stick that he had made with his ingenuity, and Sambo's ambiguous smile suddenly flashed through his mind. The Pillars of Creation that had been inexplicably activated before helped Bronya defeat Cocolia, but what if the mysterious man who helped everyone had never left?
Only people who are well-informed enough can know the address of the Pillar of Creation, such as the intelligence dealer who has been lurking in the suburbs of Beloberg from the beginning and providing unknown people with underground information worth a fortune.
Why would the guy who sold the information to both sides, causing Batman's tragic accident and being forced to serve tea and water at a construction site, suddenly volunteer to send him back and sell a batch of items that were obviously obsolete military items?
Batman carefully examined the odd-shaped fire stick in his hand. The faint fluorescence of the mineral marrow flowed on the blue crystal. It was incomparable to the simplest standard weapon of the Silver Mane Iron Guards, and it was so broken that it seemed to break at the touch.
"B?" Robin nudged Batman, who looked dazed.
Batman's somewhat distracted eyes came to their senses: "Give me a minute."
He quickly disassembled the weapon he had randomly put together and reassembled it according to the correct ideas. The originally messy fire stick became regular after Batman's assembly, although it was still in a strange shape.
"What is this?" Robin asked.
Batman looked at the mineral product in his hand that stretched out like a branch and took a deep breath: "This is our last hope."
He took the thing and hurried to the star core controller, connected all the severed wires to the forked branches of the mineral marrow product, and placed the bottom of the branches against the outer wall of the star core.
"It's futile..." A voice that sounded like a man or a woman began to bewitch: "Why save the world? They are not worth your efforts... Think about your dead children... your parents..."
Batman seemed to hear nothing: "Robin, blow up the last wire."
