Chapter 21: Treasure Revealed
The air was deathly silent.
Mixed with a hint of embarrassment.
“Ahem.”
Alka coughed and walked to the wall where the noise came from as if nothing had happened.
It was from this wall that the dust was shaken down.
I raised my hand and touched the wall. As I brushed across it, I could indeed feel some unevenness.
There is a gap, and slide along it.
It is a stone gate about two meters wide.
"There is a stone door here. The one I turned before should be the switch, but perhaps it has been too long and no one has maintained it, so the mechanism has broken down."
Jason had figured it out through Alka's previous actions.
He came over and stood next to Alka, then began to tap the wall gently.
A solid, dull sound echoed in his ears.
Alka also leaned close to listen to the echo of his knocking.
Only Sigt stood there with a confused look on his face. He could only watch quietly, his eyes full of desire to learn.
Suddenly his gestures changed, the way he tapped became slightly different, and the echoing sound changed.
He knocked around the stone gate and its surroundings.
He raised his head again and brushed the dust off his ears.
"This should be a push-in stone door . It's a bit difficult to deal with."
"Why do you say that?" After all, Alka is a treasure hunter who started out as a newcomer.
There are many things I don’t know at all, but the one in front of me looks professional no matter how you look at it.
Jason placed both hands on the stone door and pushed it forward with all his strength, but the door did not move at all.
"Because for this kind of stone door, you have to push the entire boulder in to find the entrance on both sides or one side. This secret space should have entrances on both sides."
"If it's a rotating type, we only need to push one side of the stone door hard and it will rotate a circle and bring us in. It would take much less effort."
Alka nodded in understanding. No wonder the difficulty level was [Strongman].
In other words, they had to push the entire heavy stone door to create a passage for them to enter.
"Let's push together, maybe we can do it."
Sigurd walked up and said.
"Okay, let's give it a try."
After saying that, the three of them leaned against the wall and used their shoulders and elbows to push against the stone door in front of them.
"I'll count to 321. Let's push together."
“3, 2, 1, push!”
Following Alka's order.
The three of them began to push towards the stone gate with all their strength.
As they pushed, several people began to nasalize and their faces became a little red.
However, their legs began to slide backwards, and the stone door in front of them just shook slightly, and did not move forward at all.
"No, the power is not enough."
Jason relaxed, leaned on his knees, and spoke while panting.
Alka was also panting, looking at the stone door in front of him.
Underestimate the difficulty of [Hercules].
Of course, it would be a pity to give up just like that.
If I go find other people, I might arouse jealousy, cause unnecessary trouble, and I might even have to give away an extra share.
Naturally, everyone was unwilling.
One more person means one less portion for yourself.
Alka began to look around to see if there was anything he could use.
Look at the floor beneath your feet.
He reached out and touched his chin.
"Let's knock a few dents in the floor so that we can have better leverage. Didn't the stone door just shake a bit? That means we're just a little bit short."
"Okay, let's do it." Sigurd nodded after hearing Alka's opinion.
Jason had no choice but to say, "Okay then."
After all, I can’t think of any better way now.
Then he took out a small hammer as long as his forearm and a shovel from his bag.
Everyone started to work hard.
After a while, three pits appeared on the ground.
"Try again."
As he spoke, Alka placed his legs in the pit and leaned his shoulders against the wall.
The same goes for others.
“3, 2, 1, push!”
This time, with the pit to leverage, the three of them tried their best.
Finally, the stone slab in front of him became noticeably loose.
“Drink!”
Sensing this situation, the three of them began to roar and push forward hard.
The stone door was slowly pushed forward, finally revealing two side holes that were passable.
"Huh, huh, finally done."
The three of them walked in through the side door impatiently.
It was pitch black.
Sigurd was about to go outside to get the torch he had just put down.
Jason took out a palm-sized lantern from his backpack, turned it around and it started a fire.
After turning a corner, we came to a small room that was about three meters wide and six or seven meters long.
On a large table were placed various incomprehensible tools that had long been rusted and were completely unusable.
There are also some hand-drawn drawings, but they are already dirty and greasy and cannot be seen clearly.
Alka had already seen the treasure he was looking for in this dim environment.
Because the outline has been shown above.
Seeing this, Alka suddenly said, "According to our agreement just now, the three of us will share it equally, and the contribution will determine who gets the spoils first."
"If we encounter multiple trophies later, the order of selection will be between me, Jason, and Sigurd."
Alka looked at Jason and said, "Whether you have any objections, let's discuss it now to avoid disputes later."
Jason nodded happily: "Of course, just follow the order you said, no problem for me."
Then Alka turned and looked at Sigurd.
"Of course I have no problem with that."
"Okay, let's do this."
Then the three of them worked together to search for spoils in this space.
Among them was the weapon that Alka had seen.
Finally, all the items were placed on the table.
They are all stone-shaking guns.
4 pistols and 2 stone-shaking guns that are like short spray guns.
Both of them look at Alka.
Alka directly chose the short spray gun that had the outline just now.
None of these guns look alike, but all are very different in style.
They all look delicate and luxurious.
It's called a weapon, but it looks more like a decoration.
So you can't tell anything from the appearance, and it is more logical for Alka to choose a short gun that is obviously different.
Because it's more expensive.
After watching Alka finish choosing, Jason picked up one directly from the pistol.
Seeing this, Sigt took away the remaining short gun without hesitation.
Jason ended up holding two pistols.
Alka and Sigurd each had a short-range spray gun and a pistol.
"Then this cooperation ends here."
"Let's go first."
Hearing Alka's words, Jason shrugged: "Of course, whatever you want."
Then, the two of them walked out the same way they came without hesitation.
Taking advantage of the fact that the sky was not yet completely dark, he walked out of the manor.
When they walked out of the manor, they saw Jason waving goodbye to them at the door of the building.
"It's getting late, let's hurry up and go back first."
The two men hid their guns in their clothes and walked across the dirt road.
Back to the port city.
