Chapter 21 Let’s Do It First

Fletcher Village.
This is the most remote village in the Sarleon Kingdom, bar none.
There is no way. This village has only a 30-year history and it was where Count Oden started his business from scratch.
However, Count Oden's home is no longer here. His castle is Brave Shield Castle, dozens of miles east of the village.
The village is very quiet and has beautiful scenery. Since Count Oden became rich, many people have moved here, so the village is actually not too small.
Of course, most of the people in this village are tenants of Count Oden.
There is currently no lord in the village, but there is a militia patrol to maintain law and order.
This was probably the village that Count Oden mentioned when he gave Leon the choice, the one that he could give him as a knight.
In fact, this place is not bad as a territory.
Li Ang felt a little pain in his heart, but he also knew that he would never swear allegiance to an earl, otherwise he would at best be a double-flowered red stick who obeyed orders in his life.
To the north of Fletcher Village is Tongtian River, which is the lower reaches of the big river that Changhe Town relies on.
The 'bandit' mentioned by Oden, the nephew of the Duke of Alma, is now camped by the Tongtian River. It is said that he is going to build a fortress and prepare to expand northward.
Their camp can be seen from the village's watchtower.

But Leon and Sarah felt something was wrong as soon as they entered the village. The village seemed a little too peaceful - there were political enemies eyeing the village, and there were also Jatu people entering the country. Ralph, the commander of the Changhe Town garrison, had sent warning letters to all the villages and towns in the eastern province, but the village where this incident originated seemed as if nothing had happened.
They first found the village chief and tried to find out the situation.
The village chief was an elderly bald man. He was very excited when he saw Leon showing Earl Oden's letter. He directly stated that the Earl's militia had long wanted to drive away those "bandits", but they had no chance and no reason - the other party had been honestly working on real estate projects and had not seen any other movements.
As for the Jatu people, I have never seen them.
Li Ang stood on the sentry tower at the entrance of the village and observed for a while. There were about forty or fifty people in the camp, and they seemed to be engaged in construction.
But this is strange - the Jatu people were crossing the border, but the patrol team didn't notice anything?
There are hundreds of Jatu cavalrymen there, and their military discipline is so poor, it is impossible for them to move without being discovered, right?
The Jatu cavalry had rushed into the defenseless heartland of the kingdom. If nothing unexpected happened, it would have caused panic in the entire eastern province. But the chief of Fletcher Village actually knew nothing about it?
Didn’t the Jatu people pass through here?
However, even if the Jatu people really did not pass through here, they would at least have received a warning from Changhe Town!
"Are you sure you didn't find any Jatu people? Didn't the patrol hear the sound of large-scale horse hooves? Didn't the Changhe Town garrison send a warning?"
Li Ang asked the village chief.
He began to wonder, could it be that Brave Shield Castle let those Jatu people in? Was he wrong in his judgment?
"Lord Leon, I swear, I don't know anything about the Jatu people! Changhe Town has never sent anyone here!"
The village chief stared with dim eyes, somewhat angrily, as if he felt that Li Ang was doubting his character.
After saying this, he was still worried that Li Ang might not believe him, so he called the captain of the village militia patrol team over.
The patrol captain also swore that everything was normal in the village and no outsiders had discovered anything. Only those shady people by the river often came here to steal things - but in order not to cause conflicts, they tolerated such trivial matters according to Count Oden's instructions.
Leon was in a state of confusion and was a little unsure whether he should just cross the river and take action.
Could it be that Oden had deceived him?
But it doesn’t make sense!
There is no reason for Oden to let in a group of Jatu people and ruin his own situation in Changhe Town!
This village seems to be full of weirdness...
But this village belongs to the Earldom of Oden, so Leon couldn't say anything.
Just go directly to find the people in the riverside camp.
After looking at the gentle water flow to the north of the village, Li Ang led his men out of the village. He asked the craftsmen to guard the baggage by the river, and he led the mercenaries directly to the camp opposite.
Several people with guns and shields in the camp immediately came out aggressively.
"What are you doing? This is the Knight Territory of the Horton Family! Leave here immediately, we won't warn you a second time!"
Since they saw Li Ang's men doing carpentry work and had a large amount of materials, these people didn't seem to be very vigilant - Li Ang, who was carrying a large amount of building materials, also looked like he was here to do real estate.

"Who is Holden?"
Leon asked Sarah secretly.
"Houghton is the family name of the Duke of Alma. Wait... My lord, these people seem to be Forcher's men - they are members of the Red Brotherhood!" Sarah was originally answering casually, but she sped up her speech in surprise halfway through.
Red Brotherhood?
Then don't worry about whether it's a lie or not!
Let’s do it first!
Who asked the Red Brotherhood to hunt me down...
Solve your own problems first, then consider the weirdness in the village.
Li Ang rode on his horse and took a quick look at the fighting force in the camp.
There were a dozen men wearing chain mail and carrying shields, a few wearing leather armor and carrying bows, and a dozen who looked like civilians.
Several horses were tied up in the camp.
Except for the few fully armed infantrymen who came out to ask questions, the others did not seem to be in a combat state and seemed to be preparing to eat - this was a good opportunity!
He looked at the terrain of the camp again - a riverside valley with undulating hills and slopes beside it, which was not favorable for cavalry. It was definitely the home ground of the Mettenheim people.
Well, the advantage is mine!
"Klose, go! Use the hammer!"
"All troops charge!"
Li Ang did not respond to the opponent at all, did not waste any time, and did not even arrange any tactics. He suddenly announced a surprise attack.
Klose was well prepared - after all, Leon said he was here to fight, and when he heard the order he rushed into the camp with his men.
A dozen strong men brandishing war hammers charged side by side, looking very well coordinated.
But the twenty or so crossbowmen were a little stunned. They had never seen a lord like this before. He rushed in without even ? Wasn't this battle a little sloppy...
However, since the stormtroopers were already hacking at people in the front row, the crossbowmen consciously and spontaneously lined up and started shooting arrows.
These mercenaries are all experienced. The tough guys in the front row who are hacking people seem to be reliable, so they follow behind and specialize in killing the enemy's archers and cavalry with weak armor.
Anson consciously hid on the periphery and stayed with Sarah.
But it seemed that it was Sarah, the woman, who was protecting him—Sarah was riding a horse with a sword in hand, staring at the battlefield, while Anson huddled behind her horse…
The Red Brotherhood members were no match for them, and Li Ang's move was not a surprise attack, but a sneak attack...
Most of the enemy's soldiers didn't even have time to prepare themselves before they were beaten to pieces by a group of strong men.
On the chaotic battlefield, the terrain along the river is also an undulating mountainous area, and the fighting power of the Mettenheim people in this environment is very strong.
But when encountering an organized military formation, the big guys without shields can easily be shot into hedgehogs.
Li Ang charged directly because his gold medal fighter was good at mountain combat.
He even specifically let Klose use a hammer - the prisoners could be sold for a lot of money, and he was very poor now.
This time he did not charge like a wild boar, but instead rode back and forth on horseback, intending to reap those fish that had escaped.
Then, he seemed to see a familiar figure.
The pretty boy with extraordinary skills who impressed him so deeply!
Still wearing his noble robe, with a mouth full of lies, he was riding on his horse and preparing to run away.
