Chapter 208: Resurrection Monsoon

Two against one, two elite warriors against a rookie mage.
This battle seemed to have no suspense at all.
But Marit and Riven could unexpectedly feel...
"She's getting stronger?"
Marit looked around Orianna in confusion, the whirlwind was getting faster and faster.
"Is it willpower?" Riven vaguely sensed something.
"This girl has already made up her mind to die."
In Runeterra, human willpower is, in a sense, physical power.
The stronger the willpower, the stronger the mental power. And it goes without saying how important mental power is to a mage.
"Heh... this girl is quite brave. Unfortunately, she has bad luck." Marit still looked down on her.
It’s just willpower, who doesn’t have it?
Without strong will, it would be impossible for her and Riven to survive in the cruel battlefield until today.
It would be too naive to think that you could stump two experienced warriors with just a temporary burst of energy.
"Don't underestimate me, you little bitch!" Marit took the lead.
Her nickname in the army is "Furious Knight". Although no longer has a magic bird at her crotch or a halberd in her hand, she can still use a long sword to kill with the momentum of a knight's charge.
Orianna summoned a puppet and charged towards Marit.
Marit casually chopped the Hextech puppet in half with a sword: "You think you can stop us with a toy like this?"
But in just a moment, only 6 of the 7 puppets were left.
Orianna did not answer, but just controlled the strong wind to continue blocking.
But this time, as soon as the storm started, Riven quietly followed Marit's steps.
She held the door-panel-wide rune sword in her hand horizontally, and waved it against the wind like a palm leaf fan: "Whoosh!"
Riven actually used her human flesh and blood to fan out a gust of wind that was as powerful as Orianna's magic.
The two air currents collided violently and canceled each other out, and the storm was actually killed invisibly by humans.
"Orianna, stop it." Riven advised helplessly: "You can't beat us."
"..." Orianna remained silent.
Riven's answer was an even stronger gust of wind.
“Don’t waste your time talking to her.” Marit completely lost his patience: “Riven, let’s get serious.”
"Hmm..." Riven also knew that if she let him win again, it would be unacceptable.
She had been dealing with a rookie mage for so long but still hadn't killed him. If this matter were to spread to the military camp, it would probably have caused controversy.
Noxus has no room for such "cowards".
"Sorry." Riven couldn't help but say sorry again.
She raised the giant rune sword, stimulated the overwhelming power of the Holy Spirit, and then... slashed out with the sword!
"Eye of the Storm!" The strong wind created a barrier for Orianna.
"Command: Defend!" The Hextech puppet also exuded powerful magic power, protecting her.
"It's useless..." Riven sighed in her heart.
Even adding a shield would not be able to block it. Instead, it would make it difficult for her to control the strength and grasp the sword's edge.
It seems that this sword of hers...may well fail to stop and cut Orianna in half.
Riven felt very uncomfortable.
She had killed many people and had been forced to kill many innocent people, but that didn't mean she liked this kind of unrestrained killing.
If possible, she didn't want to kill innocent people anymore, at least during non-wartime.
But now... "I'm sorry, I have no choice." Riven finally swung her sword.
In order to avoid looking at the girl's shattered body, she even closed her eyes unprofessionally.
However……
"Command - self-destruct!" A cold voice came out of Orianna's mouth.
She used her newly awakened talent, leaving only one puppet to maintain the shield, and then detonated the magic power of the artificial hexgems in the bodies of the other five puppets in one breath.
"What?!" Riven and Marit were slightly stunned.
"Oh no!" The unstable overflowing magic power of the Hextech Gem has transformed into a dangerous blue light, blooming from the bodies of those toy puppets.
Riven reacted instantly: "Her shield is not to defend against my blade, but to mitigate the impact of the explosion!"
But can these two magic shields really block the explosion of five artificial hexgems?
Perhaps, Orianna didn't want to live at all...
"She wants to die with us?!"
As the magic energy bloomed, Riven and Marit's faces turned extremely pale due to the dazzling light.
The light engulfed them and Orianna as well.
"Orianna!" Mr. Colin in the distance held the electric pole tightly, trying not to be blown away by the aftermath of the explosion.
But even so, he could only see the terrifying explosion and Orianna's magic shield that cracked and shattered like a piece of brittle paper before being swallowed by the light...
Finally, the storm subsided and the light gradually faded.
The workshop has been reduced to ruins.
And in the ruins, there were two people standing and one person lying.
"Asshole!" Marit wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth caused by the explosion and looked at Orianna who collapsed on the ground with resentment.
She and Riven were still surrounded by the magic shield activated by the rune giantsword, with dots of fluorescence after shattering.
The explosion was powerful, but Riven and her Blackstone Rune Blade were even more powerful.
The explosion shattered Riven's shield, but Riven and Marit still had solid general armor and an unreasonably strong body. The remaining impact of the explosion was only enough to cause them slight injuries.
Riven slowly put away the rune sword.
She looked at Orianna, who was dying on the ground, and said one last word: "I'm sorry."
"Please...put away your false mercy..." Orianna replied in a hoarse voice.
She stared at Riven coldly with her scarlet pupils that were almost shattered by the explosion:
"You... you think you are doing a good deed by just standing by and doing nothing, waiting for your companion to commit a crime and then feeding the victim two candies?"
"No, you are just one of the demons."
"I..." Riven was speechless .
She knew that Orianna was right.
She is not a good person, not even a human being. She is just a part of the war machine.
"I can't save you. But I will end your suffering as soon as possible." Finally, Riven raised the sword.
She no longer hesitated. There was no point in hesitating.
But at this time, Orianna raised her hand again.
She was already very weak.
But she was still trying to summon the wind... although, all she could summon now was just a light breeze.
"..." Marit stopped laughing at her.
She looked at Orianna quietly, as if she were a respectable enemy.
In the past, only Demacia's generals had received such respect from her.
"Rest in peace," Riven said.
"I will not rest in peace," said the girl.
Although she has not officially joined the organization, she is finally sure: "I am the leader!"
“The wind of change I follow will always blow and never stop!”
Orianna's will was tempered to the extreme.
But she was too weak, and all she summoned was a breeze.
Orianna finally closed her eyes tiredly.
But the breeze did not stop.
The wind is still blowing.
As the breeze blew, it suddenly turned into a powerful hurricane filled with the green breath of life.
Amid the howling wind, a figure appeared in the sky of Piltover.
A man with a bluebird on his shoulders:
"Janna heard your call—"
"Resurrection Monsoon!"
