Chapter 2 Brothers and Sisters

Chapter 2 Brother and Sister
Placing Fang Qing on the small kang in the room, Wen Ling carefully wiped the dirt off her hands and body. While washing the towel, she couldn't help cursing at the hooligans.

Wen Ning walked to his sister's door and knocked on the open door. "Erling, I found some medicinal wine. Take it in and help her wipe it."

"Brother, I'm busy. Come in and put it on the table."

Wen Ling parted Fang Qing's messy hair, combed it neatly with her fingers, and carefully wiped the dirt off her face. Only then could she see her face clearly. "Oh, it's her!" Wen Ning

, who had put down his things and was about to leave, stopped when he heard this. "Do you know her?"

Wen Ling nodded as she looked at Fang Qing, who was unconscious on the bed. "She's in the same grade as me, in the same class. Her name is Fang Qing."

Fang Qing? Wen Ning also felt that the name was very familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before. Before he could figure it out, his sister had already continued to talk.

"When she first entered school, she was a celebrity in the whole grade. She was good at studying and looked okay. Many boys would blush when they saw her. But she was so arrogant that she ignored everyone. It was okay for the boys to ignore her, but we girls wanted to get along with her, but she rejected us with a cold face. It's only been a month since the start of school, and the whole school knows that there is a cold beauty who is out of touch with the world in our first year of high school..."

"Do you think she has a problem with her brain? Except for the physical education classes required by the school, she hides in the library alone at other times. I heard that she has almost borrowed out a row of books!"

After Wen Ling finished complaining, she suddenly felt that her kindness might not be rewarded. Maybe when Fang Qing wakes up, he will say with a cold face that she is meddling in other people's business!
"Brother, what should I do next?"

Wen Ling sat aside in distress, not noticing her brother's abnormality at all. She was washing towels and thinking about random things.

It was so late, the teachers had already gone home, and she had no idea where Fang Qing lived. Even if she did, she and her brother had no transportation to take her home. She couldn't just run around in the dark, could she?

Thinking of the rape cases her father had been called to in recent days, Wen Ling shuddered and decided to stay home.

Wen Ning, however, fell into deep thought after his sister finished speaking. Borrowing books?

No wonder he'd thought the name was familiar. Wasn't this the guy in the library in junior high who always borrowed the books he wanted to read in advance?

He'd been so pissed off at the time, thinking he was targeting him. Later, he learned from the administrator that the guy had borrowed almost every book in the library. He finally calmed down, but he was also shocked by how much he read!

At the time, he'd wanted to get to know this guy, but suddenly learned that he wasn't coming anymore. He felt a little regretful that he'd missed out on a match. But he didn't expect to meet him today!

What was even more surprising was that the person was actually a woman, a freshman in their high school, and in the same grade as his sister?

Wen Ning looked at the woman on the bed. Although her face was slightly red and swollen, her original appearance was still visible in her features. Awkwardly, he covered his lips with his fingers. "Well, no matter what, she's been rescued. Let's wait until she wakes up first!"

Glancing at the alarm clock on the table, Wen Ning knew his father wouldn't be home tonight, so he simply cooked some porridge. The siblings finished their meal and went to bed.

As the night deepened, shouts suddenly rang out from the nearby street.

However, fearing the gang of thugs would return, the siblings had already locked their doors and windows, missing the noise.

In the middle of the night, Fang Qing slowly opened her eyes.

The pain in her body slowly brought her awake, but the pitch-black room was pitch dark. She couldn't tell where she was, so she strained her eyes to adjust to the darkness. After a long time, she slowly groped her way around and confirmed she was in a room.

Beneath her hands was the soft blanket, faintly scented with the fragrance of soapberry. Unaware of her rescue, Fang Qing thought she'd been sold or imprisoned. A whirlwind of speculation raced through her mind, but the touch of a hand interrupted all of her thoughts, and she cried out in terror.

  "Ah! Bah!"

The hoarse voice, coupled with her unresponsive tongue, froze Fang Qing in her tracks. But before she could react, the "female ghost" she'd touched rolled to the ground, startled by the cry.

  "Who? What's wrong?!"

A crackling noise filled the room, and the overhead light finally flickered on. Fang Qing, on the kang, and Wen Ling, on the floor, adjusted to the light, finally noticed each other.

Neither spoke, staring awkwardly at each other for a long moment, unsure what to say.

Fang Qing felt a familiar look, and just as she was about to speak, the door was flung open.

"What's wrong? Lingzi, why are you standing barefoot on the ground? Put on your shoes quickly..."

Wen Ning turned around and saw Fang Qing sitting on the kang, and his words got stuck in his throat.

The air was strangely quiet for a few seconds, and Wen Ning turned his head away awkwardly, "You... don't be afraid, those people have left, and my brother and I took the opportunity to carry you back, but we didn't know where your home was, and it was too late..."

Before Wen Ning finished explaining, Fang Qing understood everything.

He was able to escape because of the help of these two siblings. The cry of "The police are here" that he heard before he fainted was probably their masterpiece...

Thinking of this, Fang Qing kowtowed to the two siblings on the ground.

Seeing her actions, the brother and sister were shocked. Wen Ling hurriedly stopped her, "Hey, what are you doing? What era is this? It's not customary to kowtow to express gratitude..."

Seeing that Fang Qing was still going to kowtow, she stepped forward and pulled her arm, trying to interrupt her. But when Fang Qing raised her face, the tears on her face made the words that were about to come out of her mouth turn into astonishment.

"You...you don't have to be like this...it's all over!"

Fang Qing looked at the brother and sister in front of him, wanting to say thank you, but when he opened his mouth, tears started to flow down uncontrollably.

A towel was handed to him, and Fang Qing looked at the young man standing by the kang. He felt as if he had seen this man somewhere before.

Although the boy was still a little immature, he was already very tall and straight, with a handsome face and a comfortable smile. His bony hands were holding a roll of clean towels, and his whole person gave people a very pure and warm feeling.

Perhaps Fang Qing's gaze was too focused, and the boy's jade-like face couldn't help but blush.

Fang Qing came back to his senses awkwardly, took the towel embarrassedly, and said thank you softly.

After all this trouble, the three of them were ready to go to bed and continue to rest, but suddenly there was a hurried knock on the door in the yard!
