Chapter 2: A physical condition that makes people unlucky!

I was in a state of half awake and half asleep the whole night. I was afraid that the silver-haired boy would suddenly break into my bedroom, put a damn Band-Aid on me, and forcefully kiss me when I couldn't move. As a result, he even wanted to kiss me in my dreams.
When the alarm rings in the morning, I have no energy at all and feel extremely tired.
I simply washed up and went downstairs to have breakfast.
Uncle Wu placed fresh lilies on the table, and placed milk and fruit on the beautiful white lace tablecloth, along with a few of my favorite egg and milk desserts. He always knew my taste.
"Ms. Moli, good morning." Uncle Wu was helping me pour milk. When he saw me coming downstairs, he gave me a friendly smile.
"Good morning, Uncle Wu," I responded, feeling really bad because of what happened last night.
"Cough, cough, cough..." Uncle Wu suddenly started coughing, and his hand that was pouring the milk began to tremble. He quickly put down the milk, took out a handkerchief to cover his mouth and nose, and moved to the side.
I looked at him strangely. Over the years, I rarely saw him catch a cold or have a fever. How come he suddenly fell ill today?
"Cough, cough, cough..." Uncle Wu couldn't seem to stop coughing. The sound became louder and louder, and the frequency became higher and higher. His back was arched high and his face turned red from coughing.
"Uncle Wu, please go back to your room first. I'll do it myself." I saw that he was coughing badly and was afraid that he would infect me with the cold virus.
Uncle Wu was in so much pain that he couldn't even speak. He looked at me apologetically and walked towards his room, coughing violently as he walked.
I walked to the dining table and sat down to eat breakfast. Uncle Wu was sick, which made me feel even worse and I had no appetite. I looked up at the wall clock and realized that I was going to be late.
Not long after, Uncle Wu came out of his room again. He put on a polite and friendly expression with great difficulty and steadied his trembling voice: "Ms. Moli... cough cough cough... drink more milk... cough cough cough... I'm going to drive you to school now."
I saw that he was coughing badly and really didn't want him to take me home, so I stood up to stop him and said, "No need, I'll take the school bus. You should stay at home and take care of yourself."
“Cough cough cough... Miss Moli, I’m sorry... I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’m sorry to have caused you trouble... cough cough cough..." The look of apology on Uncle Wu’s face became even more intense.
"It's okay." I really didn't want to face a patient, so I looked up at the wall clock and saw that the school bus was about to arrive, so I walked out the door with my handbag. After walking for a while, I felt that Uncle Wu was quite pitiful for being sick, so I turned my head and looked at him, who was coughing and trying to force a smile to see me out, and whispered, "You have to take care of yourself."
This was the first time I told Uncle Wu that I cared about him.
Uncle Wu heard it, and waved at me with a smile on his face: "With what Miss Moli said, cough cough cough... I will recover soon."
I nodded, and after walking a short distance, I saw the school bus coming towards me. I quickly waved in the direction of the bus.
Through the glass, I saw my classmates in the school bus looking at me with surprised expressions on their faces.
I nodded and smiled at everyone. I usually take a special car to pick me up and never take the public school bus. This time I took the school bus with everyone. You must think it's very strange.
I got on the bus and looked around. From the conductor in the front row to the students in the back row, everyone smiled at me. I could see love, jealousy, joy, honor, appreciation and other emotions in their eyes. From childhood to adulthood, I have always enjoyed the privileges of being treated by beautiful women, and I have long been accustomed to everyone's admiring eyes.
I responded to all these emotions with a smile. A boy was courting me and stood up to let me sit next to him. I smiled at him and sat down directly without being pretentious.
I had just sat down when I heard a girl in the back row chatting with another girl.
"Did you watch a horror movie last night?"
Watching horror movies is such a low taste, I feel disdainful in my heart.
"Yeah, it's a new movie from Japan, it's awesome," another girl responded.
"Does it look good?" The girl's interest was piqued.
"I can't say it's good, but I should say it's very exciting. When the heroine was taking a bath, the light in the bathroom suddenly broke, and then her dead boyfriend pushed her under the water... It's so horrible." The girl said as she pretended to exclaim.
I suddenly remembered the silver-haired boy who suddenly appeared in the bathroom last night. I felt a little scared and thought it was annoying that the two girls behind me were telling horror movies so early in the morning.
"Why is her boyfriend unwilling to let her go even if he becomes a ghost?"
"Because the heroine is so fake. She pretends to be very kind in front of outsiders, but in fact, she has no sympathy at all. Her boyfriend was so angry with her that he got depression and died. Even as a ghost, he would not let her go..." The two girls talked back and forth, having a lot of fun.
I really couldn't bear to listen to it anymore. I felt very upset and turned my head to the window.
A bus was running parallel to our school bus, blocking the rare bit of sky in my sight. The passenger opposite my window was extremely ugly, looking at me with eyes full of desire, drooling.
I was getting annoyed when suddenly, a head of silver hair poured down from my car window, and then, a handsome face with a smirk pressed against the car window and grinned at me. The silver-haired boy was pressed against the car window, his face, which was squeezed and deformed by the car window, was facing me, showing his big white teeth, and waving his claws at me.
"Ghost!" My heart suddenly hung in my throat and I got goose bumps all over my body. I turned my head away abruptly, not daring to look out the window again.
The car suddenly became quiet and the atmosphere became very strange.
My shoulder was gently poked, and the girl who was telling ghost stories in the seat behind me said apologetically, "Moli, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were so timid."
Everyone must have thought that I was inappropriate when I screamed, and my face turned red. I raised my head, and dozens of pairs of eyes looked at me, each with an expression of "unbelievable".
I cursed the silver-haired boy thousands of times in my heart, and felt the need to restore my image as a lady, so I turned around quickly. Hey, where was the silver-haired boy in the window?
"Hello, Miss Moli." Sora was lying on the roof of the bus, looking like a beauty who had just woken up, and waving at me in a very charming way.
How dare he appear in front of everyone so blatantly? Did he think his silver hair was not eye-catching enough? Or did he think his blue robe was fashionable? And he was barefoot!
"There's a very strange boy on the roof over there. He looks crazy and must have run away from a mental hospital." I pointed at the roof of the bus and successfully drew the students' attention to the silver-haired boy.
The silver-haired boy noticed that everyone was looking at him, and immediately struck a seductive pose on the roof of the car, with a wider smile on his face.
"Moli, are you talking about the roof of the car?" The boy next to me seemed frightened and confirmed with me in a doubtful tone.
"Yes, that's it. You saw that strange boy, right? I think you should call the police as soon as possible to prevent him from bringing security risks to the city." I nodded and suggested very actively. I hope that after the police find him, they can use high technology to catch him, or ask scientists to study him. Maybe they can find some longevity genes and benefit mankind.
"But...but there's no one there..." The boy looked at me with difficulty.
I was stunned for a moment and looked towards the roof of the car. The silver-haired boy was clearly facing us, posing, winking, and sticking his tongue out at me.
After the silver-haired boy flirted with me a dozen times, I couldn't stand it anymore. I stared at the boy in front of me and asked angrily, "Are you sure?"
"Moli, there is really nothing over there." Everyone turned their eyes to me and said with certainty.
"Yeah, this joke is not funny at all. I just realized that Qian Moli really likes telling jokes." A girl in the class who likes to find fault said.
"Maybe Miss Moli is seeing things, you shouldn't talk about her like that." A boy immediately fought back for me.
I had no time to pay attention to the situation in the car. I looked angrily at the roof of the car next to me. The silver-haired boy looked at me with a smug look on his face, raised his eyebrows and mouthed to me: "Moli, wait for me to give you a sweet kiss."
He must have used some magic to make himself invisible to everyone so that I could make a fool of myself!
I clenched my fists and stared at him angrily. How could there be such a shameless person in this world!
When he saw that I was angry, his playful expression returned to normal and he did several somersaults on the roof of the car, each time flipping to the front or back of the car, and just when he was about to fall off, he flipped back.
Why didn't he fall off the car and die! I thought angrily and evilly.
"Moli, are you okay?" the boy next to me asked me with concern.
"Oh...it's okay, just now...just now I felt a little uncomfortable." I hurriedly pressed my temples with my fingers, looking weak, and even my voice became weak.
"Are you still feeling uncomfortable now?" The boy reached out to pat my back and comfort me.
As soon as I saw his hand was about to touch me, I straightened my back as if avoiding something dirty that was about to hit me, and looked at him apologetically: "I'm fine, thank you."
The boy's hand paused awkwardly in mid-air for a moment, and then he smiled at me gently.
"You are very good at pretending." A teasing voice suddenly came to my ear.
I was startled and turned around, and saw an extremely magnified handsome face facing me. The corners of Sora's eyes and eyebrows were curved into crescents, and his smile was very evil.
"Sorry, no one can see me except you, so if you scream, everyone will think you are making a fuss." Sora squatted on the back of the seat in front of me, his head against the roof of the school bus, his silver hair draped over his back, his chin supported by his arms, and his face looked innocent.
I stared at him, shaking with anger. He bullied me because he was not human, leaving me speechless and unable to speak out my suffering.
"Qian Moli, you probably don't want me to follow you all the time, right? I also want to be free and return to the world of bad luck as soon as possible. For our common good, just let me give you a kiss, and then we'll both be happy." Sora blinked his eyes and persuaded me in an inducing way.
"Don't even think about it!" I yelled at him in a low voice. Who does he think I am? Can I kiss him whenever I want?
"Moli, what did you just say?" The boy next to me came over and asked me.
"Uh... nothing." I forced a smile, feeling extremely annoyed, and begged him not to add fuel to the fire.
I perfunctorily answered the boy sitting next to me and mouthed the word "get lost" to Sora.
"Which angle do you think is best for me to kiss you from?" He stared at my face, tilted his head left and right, really adjusting his position. I was getting angry, and his eyes suddenly lit up, and he said excitedly, "Just kiss your forehead, there seems to be a small pink dot there." He lowered his head and was about to kiss me.
"Ah - please stop bothering me!" I really couldn't stand it anymore, so I stretched out my arms to push him away, and then stood up suddenly.
Sora was faster than me. He immediately retracted his body so that I couldn't touch him at all. He sat in front of me with a smug look on his face and signaled me with his eyes to look at the other people in the car.
The car was extremely quiet, and everyone looked at me as if I were a monster. I nodded to everyone in annoyance and embarrassment, and prepared to sit back in my seat in embarrassment.
Suddenly, the car braked slammed hard, and before I could even sit down, my body quickly fell forward due to inertia.
Sora seemed unaffected by the earth's inertia, sitting as steady as a rock on the backrest of the seat in front of me.
I couldn't control my body at all, looking at him with anger and resentment, thinking that if I fell on him, it wouldn't hurt that much. However, Sora was more surprised than me. When he saw that I was going to fall on him, he quickly dodged without hesitation and sat on the side. My lower abdomen hit the back of the seat in front of me hard, and a sharp dull pain came.
I have always been treated preferentially by boys and have never suffered such injustice.
I held my stomach, the pain was so severe that tears were about to come out. I stared at Sora who was indifferent with resentment, and uttered a few words through gritted teeth: "I'm telling you, if you want me to agree to your request, wait until the next life!"
"But this matter is not up to you." Sora did not let me go and said affirmatively.
"Then we'll see!" I sat down angrily and turned my face away from him.
No wonder he is the god of bad luck, he has no sympathy for women, he doesn't help them when they are dying, he has a bad temper, and he likes to play dirty tricks. Such a person is really annoying!
"Um... Moli, I have something to do, so I'll get off first." The boy next to me looked at me with a pale face, and before the school bus stopped, he rushed down with his schoolbag.
His expression seemed like he was frightened.
My heart skipped a beat. I was so angry at Sola that I forgot that no one could see him. My classmates must think I was weird. I bit my lower lip. The good image I had worked so hard to build over the years was almost destroyed by this damn bad luck.
"Why is she like a lunatic, mad at the air so early in the morning?" A sharp voice behind me pierced my eardrums.
"She is a young lady, it is normal for her to be angry. What's more, she condescended to take the school bus, maybe she did it on purpose to show off to everyone!" Another girl said sarcastically.
My face suddenly felt hot. I resisted the urge to curse and sat patiently on the chair, hoping to get to school quickly.
"Oh..." Sora sighed and sat in the empty seat next to me consciously. I stared at him with wide eyes and really wanted to open the car window and throw him out.
He held his chin with his hand, looked at me sadly, and said in a faint voice: "It seems that everyone misunderstood you just now."
I still stared at him, telling him with my eyes that it was not his fault!
He changed his posture, clasped his hands behind his head, stared upward, and said slowly: "Why do you want to embarrass yourself? If you don't listen to me, you are actually making things difficult for yourself."
"Shut up!" I didn't want to listen to him.
"Qian Moli, who are you telling to shut up?" A girl who had just said something bad about me suddenly jumped in front of me and said fiercely.
I was shocked. Where did she come from? It was really speechless!
"Sorry, you heard it wrong." I really didn't feel like paying attention to her, so I said coldly.
"I'm telling you, don't think you're great just because your family has some money. My father is the mayor, and his family is no worse than yours!" the girl said aggressively.
I was really speechless and looked at her with disdain. Arguing with someone like her was a complete waste of brain cells.
"Qian Moli, how dare you look at me like that..." The girl pretended to start a quarrel.
"Oh, so noisy." Sora lazily supported his chin and lightly pressed his finger at the quarreling girl. The girl suddenly shut up, turned around mechanically and went back to her seat.
I stared at Sora in surprise. He must have cast some kind of magic on her!
Sora also turned his head to look at me, pouted, and said dissatisfiedly: "Don't stare at me like a cow."
ox?
My lips couldn't help but tremble. Once upon a time, when I opened my eyes wide, the boys all praised me for being so charming even when I was angry. He actually said that I was awesome!
"I'm sorry to tell you that you have a physique that makes people unfortunate. Of course, this physique is very beneficial to you, but the people around you will suffer." Sora raised his eyebrows.
I couldn't help but frown, staring at him, and whispered, "What are you talking about?"
"You don't believe it?" He asked me easily, shrugging, "Let me give you a very simple example. Do you know why your parents chose to live abroad and didn't take you with them?"
My heart sank suddenly. My parents' affairs were something I couldn't touch, so I asked him angrily, "Why?"
"The living environment abroad is definitely better than in China, but your parents have been losing money in business since you were born, and they are often sick. What's even stranger is that whenever they take you out to play, you either miss your flight, are almost hit by a car, or get robbed..."
"Shut up!" The more I listened, the more upset I felt. I quickly interrupted him. I felt extremely depressed, but I refused to admit defeat. I looked at Sora with contempt and mocked him, "Don't lie to me with such childish lies. I'll tell you now, my parents live abroad because their main business is there. And they didn't take me there because they were too busy to take care of me. And as the only heir to the Qian family, I also need to take care of our family's industry in China. Do you understand now?"
"Then it's up to you." Sora sniffed and responded nonchalantly, his body suddenly disappearing into the air.
I stared at what was happening in front of me in shock. He actually disappeared right before my eyes!
The school bus arrived at the destination, and I walked off under everyone's confused and frightened gaze.
Sora is such an irresponsible bastard! He said a lot of hurtful things to me, but then disappeared without finishing his words.
How could my parents abandon me just because I would bring bad luck to them? That couldn't be possible!
I was thinking irritably as I walked towards the classroom. Several girls who got off the school bus with me kept pointing fingers at me from behind. They were so hateful. Although I behaved very badly today, I usually didn't provoke them. Why do they like to talk about me behind my back? The key is that I was still in a bad mood!
"Miss Moli——" A passionate call suddenly sounded behind me.
I stopped and turned my head to look, only to see Feng Jingye, wearing a suit and bow tie, running towards me.
In the sunlight, his gelled black hair looked shiny, and under his well-groomed eyebrows, a pair of sparkling eyes stared at me intently. Under his blue-black suit, the white shirt looked very stylish, and the black bow tie was tied very neatly, setting off his elegant long neck.
He is the only one among many boys whom I do not dislike. I cannot explain the specific reason. I vaguely feel that there are some similarities between us. Or maybe he likes me too much, to the extent that he does not have any desire. In other words, when I am with him, I do not worry that he will ask for anything from me.
"Ms. Moli, long time no see." Feng Jingye looked at me with a smile, and her long eyelashes looked beautiful in the sunlight.
This is his usual opening remark, and we clearly met yesterday.
"Long time no see, is there anything wrong?" I raised my wrist to look at the watch, and there were still ten minutes before class.
Feng Jingye noticed my little action, waved his hand quickly, and said anxiously: "Ms. Moli, I won't take up too much of your time."
As he spoke, he handed me a very delicate pink handbag, smiled even more happily, and said excitedly: "Just now I heard from my classmates that you are not in a good mood today, so I specially prepared coffee for you. This kind of coffee is called Luwak, also known as Sumatran civet coffee. It is ground after being fermented by the unique function of the animal body. It tastes great."
Luwak?
My mother specially sent me this kind of coffee from abroad before. Uncle Wu made me a cup. It tasted weird, with an earthy smell and a bit choking. I didn’t think it was delicious.
But seeing Feng Jingye's eyes full of hope, I still accepted it politely, bowed my head slightly and said: "Thank you..."
"Well, that's great. Someone sends you a gift so early in the morning." A teasing voice suddenly came to my ears.
I was startled and my body trembled involuntarily. I caught a glimpse of Sora's blue robe and bare feet from the corner of my eye, and I was immediately filled with anger.
"Are you okay?" Feng Jingye looked at me worriedly.
I gritted my teeth, put on a smile, and said softly, "I'm fine, thank you for giving me coffee."
"It's my honor to serve you. But you don't look well. How about I help you to the classroom?" he asked me attentively.
"No, I'm fine. Besides, I still have coffee!" I raised the gift he gave me a little and said with a smile.
His eyes quickly turned into hearts, and his body twisted in an "S" shape several times involuntarily. He said intoxicatedly, "Ms. Moli, you must drink it."
I smiled and nodded, and suddenly I noticed Sora squatting and peeking into my bag. He was really curious! I immediately hugged the bag in my arms without mercy, not letting him peek at it.
Seeing this, Sola glared at me with infinite grievance and anger, and I glared back at him nonchalantly.
"Ms. Moli, do you really like the gift I gave you? I'm so happy." Feng Jingye stared at the coffee cup in my arms with shining eyes, jumping and dancing to show his courtesy, "Class is about to start, go to the classroom quickly. I will prepare a gift for you tomorrow."
"Thank you." I looked at the gift in my arms awkwardly. This action was so stupid, but if Sora hadn't been making trouble, how could I have let Feng Jingye misunderstand?
"It looks like he's about to get into big trouble." Sora stood beside me with his arms crossed, staring at Feng Jingye's back.
Why is he so annoying? Feng Jingye was fine, why did he curse him! I looked up and saw that he was standing next to me, almost touching me. I thought of how he made me look ugly on the school bus, and I immediately became furious and hit his waist with my elbow.
I thought I wouldn't be able to hit it, but unexpectedly, the blow was so real that it made a muffled sound.
"Are you an idiot? It hurts!" Sora held her stomach in pain, bent over and stared at me with fiery eyes.
Seeing that he was in pain, I was so happy. I raised my eyebrows and said proudly, "Isn't someone a god? If he is a god, why would he be beaten by a mere mortal like me?"
"Qian Moli, believe it or not, I am going to cancel your lucky physique right now!" Sora was irritated by me and pretended to pounce on me.
I was terrified when I thought he might kiss me, and I was about to run away, but suddenly a huge black crow flew over my head. The sound of its flapping wings was so loud that I quickly bent down. The crow flew over me and flew straight forward. Then, a huge piece of bird shit fell from the sky and landed accurately on Feng Jingye's shiny hair. The crow cawed a few times and flew away.
"What I said was right!" Seeing Feng Jingye in trouble, Sora forgot about dealing with me and jumped up and down happily.
My face darkened instantly.
After Feng Jingye noticed something unusual, he calmly reached out and touched the top of his head, then looked at it in front of his eyes. Then, he suddenly jumped up like a rocket, then fell down, and jumped on the ground with his hands and feet dancing wildly.
I looked at him almost going crazy, and I felt an indescribable feeling in my heart. At this time, Feng Jingye suddenly turned his head and looked in my direction. When he found that I was looking at him, he immediately showed an expression of shame and wanted to die, and turned away from my sight with his head in his hands.
His mental state is really not that good. I hope he won't get upset because I saw his embarrassing look.
"You bring bad luck to people and the effect is really immediate." Sora narrowed his eyes and looked at me with a meaningful look.
"Huh, this is just a coincidence. I won't believe it." I said unwillingly.
"You don't even believe in God's words. You're such a stubborn human being that it's a headache for me." He rubbed his temple with his hand, his brows furrowed.
"I'm sorry, please don't follow me anymore. I don't welcome you." I turned around and took a very cool step, but there was a hint of uneasiness in my heart. Is it really because of me that Feng Jingye is in trouble?
As I thought about it, I walked towards the classroom.
Sora had his arms folded, a wild grass he had picked from somewhere in his mouth, his eyes half open, as if he was still asleep, and he followed me shamelessly.
"Can you please stay away from me?" I ordered irritably.
He snorted twice, glanced at me with his narrow eyes, took the grass out of his mouth, and took a breath: "I am afraid that your bad luck will endanger world peace, so I isolate you. Besides, if I don't follow you, I will be very bored alone."
I really didn't want to argue with him. I was about to reach the classroom and was about to step in when the phone in my bag suddenly rang.
This phone is my personal phone, only Uncle Wu can call me, and he usually doesn't call me during my classes. Is he worried that I'm not safe on the school bus? He's really too nagging.
It was indeed Uncle Wu’s phone number. I turned a corner and answered the call: “Uncle Wu, what’s up?”
"Hello, is this Qian Moli?" There was a completely unfamiliar voice on the other end of the phone.
"Yes. May I ask who are you?" I hate anyone who harasses me.
"We are the First Affiliated Hospital of the city. Wu Jingsong is currently receiving emergency treatment in the hospital. We hope you can come to the hospital immediately." The voice on the phone was cold.
Wu Jingsong... My mind went blank for a moment, and then I suddenly understood. Wasn't that Uncle Wu's name? For more than a decade, I hadn't even remembered his name.
"Okay, I'll go right away." I was shocked. When I left, Uncle Wu just had a cough. How come he was in the hospital in less than an hour? For a moment, I felt as if my body was hollowed out. I stood there in a daze, a little overwhelmed.
"What's wrong?" Sora frowned and looked at me.
"Uncle Wu is in the hospital for emergency treatment..." I responded panickily, then realized that I had to go to the hospital. I turned around and ran out of the school gate.
Sora followed me without saying a word.
"Please don't follow me!" I was worried about Uncle Wu, and there was someone around me who kept bothering me, so I couldn't help but turn my head and yell at him while running.
"Okay then." Sora stopped walking immediately after hearing that, leaving me alone running for my life.
My heart suddenly felt cold. Damn bad luck! Why didn’t he follow me? I felt a little empty instead.
I ran to the intersection panting, stretched out my hand to stop a taxi, opened the back door, and quickly got in: "Go to the First Affiliated Hospital."
"So you worry about others too." Sora suddenly sat down next to me, his voice containing a hint of sarcasm.
I couldn't stand his elusiveness any more, and I was in a terrible mood. I said angrily, "Ever since you showed up, all kinds of messes have happened one after another. I even suspect that it's you, the unlucky god, who is causing my bad luck!"
"Qian Moli, I find that you are not only hypocritical, pretentious, and unsympathetic, but you also love to frame innocent people. You have too many shortcomings." Sora said with a look of disgust towards me.
"Yes, I am very hypocritical, so please disappear from my presence immediately, even though I have so many shortcomings!" He scolded me and I felt even worse. What's worse, I, who never shed tears, felt sour in my heart and suddenly wanted to cry.
"I've already told you, if you let me kiss you, we can both be free..." Sora was still arguing with me.
But I didn't want to argue with him anymore. I didn't know what happened to Uncle Wu. If he really had an accident, I would have to live alone in Moli Castle. Wouldn't that be terribly lonely? Without Uncle Wu, where could I find someone who had watched me grow up, cared about me, and accompanied me all the time? My mind went blank. I couldn't think of another person.
"My senior, the God of Bad Luck, was right. 'Energy balance destroyers' like you are really a headache." Seeing that I didn't argue with him, Sora said a few more words and stopped talking.
The taxi driver kept looking at me through the rearview mirror with a puzzled look on his face. I quickly took out my phone and pretended that I had just finished a call, and he finally stopped looking at me. The car sped all the way to the hospital. I paid the driver without even asking for change and ran straight to the hospital.
Before I ran a few steps, I suddenly heard a few "bang bang" noises behind me. The crowd at the hospital entrance was startled and looked back. I also turned my head in surprise and saw that the tire of the taxi I had just taken had burst. The driver ran out of the car, looking at the burst tire with an anxious look on his face.
My heart sank suddenly. I glared at Sora beside me and asked in a low voice, "Did you do this? You wanted to use such a despicable method to make me believe that I would bring bad luck to others!"
"Qian Moli, according to your human method of calculating age, I am almost four hundred years old. I am not childish enough to play this kind of game. You should think more about yourself. If you keep resisting like this, it will only bring misfortune to more people." Sora rolled his eyes at me.
"I'm going to see Uncle Wu." I gave him a cold look and quickly ran to the front desk to ask about Uncle Wu's condition.
In the ward, Uncle Wu was lying on the bed with a ventilator in his mouth. I felt that he had aged a lot in just over an hour. The face that often smiled at me was now gray and unhealthy, and his eye sockets were deeply sunken. I looked at his haggard appearance and felt very sad.
"Who told you to put him in the ordinary ward? I want you to move the patient to the VIP ward immediately." I looked at the simple environment around me and ordered the busy nurse beside me.
"I'm sorry, the patient is in a coma and the doctor has instructed not to move the patient at will." Seeing that I was emotional, the nurse responded in a low voice.
"Call the attending doctor." I told the nurse, feeling irritable and uneasy. When she went out to call the doctor, I sat on the stool in front of Uncle Wu's bed, looking at his face with his eyes tightly closed, my heart was in a knot.
Sora still looked as if nothing had happened, leaning against the window and looking at the scenery outside.
The doctor came over quickly.
"Doctor, Uncle Wu was fine this morning. How come he suddenly fell into a coma? He had always been in good health before, and you guys have tried to rescue him. Why is he still unconscious?" I asked hurriedly when I saw the doctor coming.
"Don't get excited..." The doctor waved his hands to persuade me.
"I'm not excited." I interrupted him and said stubbornly.
The doctor sighed, looked at me, and his tone was full of uncertainty: "The patient suffers from a rare disease. We have not found any organic lesions in him, but the organs in his body are failing rapidly. This phenomenon is difficult to explain medically." After the doctor finished speaking, he shook his head.
"Don't tell me that. Is it because your medical skills are not good enough, or are you worried that our family doesn't have the money to treat him? I'm telling you, money is not a problem. As long as you can cure him, I will pay any amount of money, and I can even donate a large sum of money to your hospital."
I didn't want to hear him talk about some rare medical disease, I just wanted him to tell me accurate information.
Medical technology is so advanced now, and this is the best hospital in our city. As long as you have money, organs can be bought and sold, let alone treating Uncle Wu.
"Miss, we have exhausted all our methods. Now we can only rely on observation and hope that the patient can wake up." The doctor looked at me coldly and turned to leave the ward.
What is the doctor's attitude?
I was anxious and angry, and just as I was about to chase the doctor, someone suddenly held down my shoulder, preventing me from moving forward.
I turned my head and saw Sola standing beside me without knowing when, with one hand firmly pressing my shoulder. He changed his lazy posture and looked at me with a firm look.
I struggled with my shoulders and yelled, "What are you doing?"
"If I didn't stop you, would you have gone to quarrel with the doctor? What if the doctor got mad at you and did something to the housekeeper? Wouldn't you regret it even more?" Sora's voice was low but very convincing.
What he said made sense. My tense body gradually relaxed. I looked at the unconscious old housekeeper on the bed, thought for a while, and suddenly understood something. I quickly asked him, "Do you mean that I should go find a doctor privately and give him some money, and he will save Uncle Wu?"
After hearing what I said, Sola stared at me with a look that said "you are hopeless", took his hand off my shoulder, and said helplessly, "I find that your way of doing things is problematic. Hospitals are supposed to be places to save the dying and the wounded, right? Why do you have to pay privately? Besides, Uncle Wu's illness is not something that can be solved with money. You keep talking about money, what's the difference between you and the mayor's daughter on the school bus today?"
"Of course there is a difference. She thinks she is great and uses money to suppress me. But I am different. I do this for Uncle Wu. And you are not human, so you don't know the rules of human society. As long as you have money, you can live in the best house, wear the best clothes, be admired by everyone, and live the life you want." I couldn't help but retort. I thought Sora's point of view was very strange. What's even more hateful is that he compared me with that idiot girl.
"Yes, you do live the life you want, but you can't even save Uncle Wu." Sora's blue eyes suddenly turned cold and the tone of his speech changed.
I was stunned. Sora's words were really choking.
After a long while, I pushed back: "Don't worry, I will find the best doctor for Uncle Wu and he will definitely be cured."
"Qian Moli, look at the wrinkles on Uncle Wu's face. Don't you notice that the wrinkles on his face have been getting deeper since you came to this ward? And his complexion is getting uglier and uglier." Sora sat in front of Uncle Wu's bed, pointing at the wrinkles on his face.
If he hadn't mentioned Uncle Wu's wrinkles, I wouldn't have noticed it. But after he said that, I realized that the corners of Uncle Wu's mouth and eyes were covered with wrinkles, and his hair was turning gray.
"It's impossible. Uncle Wu is only 50 years old. He can't be this old..." I panicked and stepped back at a loss.
"Because you are constantly absorbing the happy energy of the people around you. Uncle Wu is very close to you, and now his physical condition is very weak. Therefore, he has no defense against your physique, and he will age rapidly." Sora's tone was very certain.
"Sora, I won't believe it!" My heart was struggling. I stared at him, walked quickly to him, pointed at the door of the ward, and ordered coldly, "Please get out, and never show up in front of me again. If it weren't for you, none of this would have happened."
Sora glanced at the door, shook his head angrily and said, "I really don't want to care about your human affairs anymore." After he said that, he strode towards the door.
I picked up the end of his words and angrily said to his back: "Yes, if it weren't for you outsiders interfering, we humans would be living a happy life!"
As soon as Sola left, a nurse rushed in and said in a panic, "Miss, please don't make noise in the ward. If you are really under a lot of mental stress, you can go to the psychiatric department on the fourth floor to see Doctor Zhang."
I was confused by her nonsensical words, and it took me a while to realize that she couldn't see Sora and thought I was talking to myself and regarded me as mentally ill.
"Thank you, but I'm fine and don't need to see a psychiatrist!" I gritted my teeth in anger.
Seeing that I was angry, the nurse didn't say much and quickly left.
Everyone in the ward had left and I was the only one left.
I sat dejectedly in front of Uncle Wu's bed, looking at his pale face sadly.
Thinking of all the care he usually shows me, I couldn't help but reach out and touch his head. After I took my fingers away, I suddenly felt a cluster of gray hair in my palm.
Wu Bo's hair...
My heart sank suddenly and I stood up quickly, knocking the stool over with me, making a sharp crash.
Was it true what Sora said? Was Wu Bo aging rapidly? And was it all because of me?
No, that’s definitely not the case!
I am so outstanding, everyone admires me and likes me, and I have almost no shortcomings.
And everything was fine before Sora came. He must have some intentions towards me, so he tried every way to bully me.
As I thought about this, my heart gradually calmed down.
But when I saw Uncle Wu's visibly aged face, I felt particularly uncomfortable. I couldn't sit still for even a second. I quickly walked to the door of the ward and asked the nurse, "Does the hospital have a dedicated caregiver?"
"some."
"Please hire a professional nurse to take care of Uncle Wu. Salary is not a problem. Also, once Uncle Wu is more stable, transfer him to the VIP ward. Once he gets better, call me immediately." I instructed the nurse, feeling a little better, and walked quickly out the door with my bag.
