Chapter 19 Comparison

Chapter 19 Contrast

The sand dripped in front of Selsi's eyes. Selsi found that the flow rate of the sand was uneven, sometimes fast and sometimes slow. This magical phenomenon attracted her attention. In order to better understand the mystery here, Selsi planned to go to the consultant of the Wishing Department to talk. At present, her guess is that the flow rate is linked to the number of wishes and the difficulty of completion.

It must be said that she is very close to the truth.

She came to the consultation office of the Purple Luo Guild, asked a few questions, and left with satisfaction after getting affirmative answers.

Tarasha followed her silently, watching her flexibly walk through the alleys, singing her tunes wantonly on the street, and chatting with people loudly.

Selsi was so engrossed in the performance that her concept of time was blurred.

Tarasha did not remind her. She looked at the girl standing under the sycamore tree surrounded by the crowd. She was cheered by the crowd, and she would never become what she would be.

Tarasha was a little disappointed.

Selsi was very happy with the performance. When she looked up, she saw Tarasha standing in the shadow of the eaves in the distance. She walked quickly towards her through the crowd.

"What's wrong?" Selsi held Tarasha's hands with both hands, "Who made you unhappy?"

Faced with Selsi's concern, Tarasha was even more sad. She said nothing, just shook her head and held Selsi's hand in return, "No one, let's go."

Her emotions were restrained quickly. Selsi was skeptical and did not ask any further questions, but just held her hand tightly.

Tarasha accompanied Selsi to stroll until dark. Selsi was very curious about everything, but Tarasha was indifferent to these things, but she was happy to see Selsi happy.

The two completely forgot about finding accommodation, and when they remembered to look for it, the hotel was full.

They looked for several hotels but none of them had vacancies. There was no choice but to see if they could find a good family to stay with.

"I forgot that this is a tourist city." Selsi hit her head. She was so excited that she found so many writing materials at once that she even forgot the most urgent need for accommodation.

A pair of hands suddenly rubbed her temples lightly, "Don't pat your head all the time, you will become stupid." Tarasha said softly.

Selsi looked up and glared at her, but didn't continue to hit.

The two walked into the residential area and saw many empty houses interlaced next to the houses with people living in them. "Is this place the same as Morton Town?" Selsi and Tarasha thought at the same time.

They knocked on a house, and the door opened a crack. A boy stuck his head out. "Who are you? What can I do for you?"

Selsi introduced herself and Tarasha, saying that she wanted to stay for a few nights. She took out a small bag of silver coins and handed it to the boy. The boy didn't respond, saying that he had something to discuss with his family first, so he

closed the door. The two waited patiently outside the door. Soon the door opened, and the boy reached out to take the silver coins and stepped aside to let them in.

The decoration in the house was very simple, or cold, and there was no trace of life.

The boy took them into a room and then said, "My name is Landry. You can come to me if you have any problems. You two can stay in this room." After that, he closed the door and left.

Tarasha sat on the bed and observed the room. It seemed to be a converted utility room. Selsi found a board to pad in front of her, and lay on the board to draw on her notebook.

"What are you writing?" Tarasha was a little curious.

"Records." Selsi answered concisely. This book recorded the customs, habits, culture of various places, her own experience and creations. She recorded everything she saw and heard in the past two days, including the strange points.

When Selsi came to her senses, Tarasha had already curled up in bed and had slept for who knows how long. Selsi was also planning to go to bed, but at this time she heard the sound of talking outside the door.

She pushed open a crack in the door and saw Landry kneeling in front of a pink hourglass. The pink hourglass is a portable wishing device given by the Purple Luo Guild to those who wish. It has the same origin as the central hourglass, but it does not have the wishing function but the flow rate is the same. It is used to tell time.

Selsi heard Landry repeating "All those who bullied me will die... All those who bullied me will die..."

The night wind leaked into the broken window and door, pushing the candlelight and reflecting distorted black shadows.

The pink sand was speeding up, and the boy's body was withering rapidly. The thin boy was gone, and only a human-shaped skinny body remained, stiff and slow. Even the well-informed travelers were terrified by this. Selsi did not say anything, quietly retreated to the room, and wrote down this incident in the notebook.
