Chapter 14: Past Events

Chapter 14: Past Events

The sound of the piano splashed everywhere, sparks flashed, and thunder sounded like heavenly music.

The monsters disguised as Silver Mane Guards and Grizzly Robots were frightened back by the thunder.

The musical instrument modified by Shiluwa was extremely powerful and blocked the monsters before the exit. Tim took the opportunity to activate the controller, and the huge iron plate rotated, sending the monsters to the other side.

"Good job, man." Shiluwa smiled and high-fived Robin.

Tim sighed pompously, "I almost thought we were going to die there."

"Uh, haha," Xiluwa smiled awkwardly, "It's just a little accident."

On the other side, Yongdong Ridge.

The clown crawled out of the snow, covered in blood, looking like a (American) Phantom. The player paid some attention to him and was surprised to find that this guy was quite calm.

"I thought he would be a little more crazy." The player's comment was condescending, and he was almost holding popcorn in his hand.

The system was speechless: "No one is going crazy for the ghosts to see. This guy is crazy when people come to him, and he is even crazier when bats come."

The player shrugged nonchalantly: "That's fine. A higher san value can help resist the pollution of the star core better."

On the howling Yongdong Ridge, an alluring voice that sounded like a man or a woman reached the clown's ears. The more he listened, the bigger the smile on his face became. He didn't know whether he was laughing at himself or at how someone so ignorant as to dare to seduce him.

But the Joker finally stepped forward towards that voice. He would obtain the creation of the evil god, the tumor of all worlds.

Tim and Shiluwa came to a door.

The door was ajar, with a lot of armor and mechanical wreckage scattered around it. Shiluwa searched the broken mechas but did not find any intact cores.

The original owners of these machines and armors all died in front of this door. They drew a forbidden line here with their blood, risking their own lives to bring a little peace to Beloberg in the rear.

"Do you know the badge of the Silvermane Guard?" Shiluwa gently picked up a piece of iron.

"I heard it's the symbol of the Iron Guards." Tim looked at Shiluwa's actions curiously.

She spread out her palm, and a twisted and broken disc with dark brown solids on the edge lay in her palm: "There are three levels of badges in total. Each upgrade represents a great honor, but the highest level badge is often worn on coffins."

"This is the blood of the Silver Mane Iron Guards. Promise me that you will not let them down." Although the eldest daughter of the Langdao family rebelled against the family and started playing with machinery and bands, the responsibility of blood is still engraved in her heart.

Tim responded solemnly: "I will never let down the honor of a warrior."

Shiluwa knew that if the truth she found out was really detrimental to the Great Guardian and caused unrest in Beloberg, then she would bury the truth in this final snowstorm, no matter what the cost.

Tim unknowingly walked with Shiluwa into the door that was closed at the cost of countless lives.

In the abandoned corridor, the shadows of Cocolia and Bronya are still repeating the previous story.

"Cocolia, I am here to witness everything and your end." Shiluwa passed the initial illusion and walked forward with firm steps.

The player observes everything and manually advances to the next scene.

"System, control the star core and launch the illusion."

Tim took a step outside and found himself in the Clipper Palace. Young Cocolia was sitting at a huge desk, handling things in an orderly manner.

"Lord Cocolia, there are heavy losses on the front line, requesting support!" The blood-soaked Iron Guard collapsed in the hall and revealed the last bit of information before dying.

"Lord Cocolia, another underground mineral vein has dried up!" The man dressed as a miner kept coughing, and the bright red sputum and blood were tightly wrapped in a handkerchief without revealing a single bit.

"Lord Cocolia, the technical department's research has failed. This research idea is wrong." The old and frail researcher held his life's work and burned it without mercy.

  "Lord Cocolia..."

  "Great Guardian..."

  "Lord Rand..."

The sound of reports surrounded Cocolia's ears. Tim watched this young woman struggling to shoulder everything under countless pressures. In order to cope with Beloberg's worsening situation, she almost forgot to eat and sleep.

Gradually, she drifted away from her former close friends, the guitar she once loved was covered in dust, she became increasingly cold and majestic, and everyone thought that Lady Cocolia could handle anything.

And under so many burdens, the only one who can make her smile is her own daughter.

Tim's heart skipped a beat when he saw the girl.

Because the girl was not the Bronya he thought she was, and there was no information about her in Beloberg's file. The girl did not inherit Cocolia's talent, but Cocolia still treated her like a treasure and provided her with a sky for her in this world of ice and snow.

As Tim expected, the girl became seriously ill and there was no cure.

Under the moonlight, Kokolia leaned over the table and cried bitterly. This was the first time she cried after becoming the Great Guardian for many years. The woman who had dedicated everything to Beloberg finally sacrificed her own daughter.

Beloberg was completely hopeless, and the blow of losing his own daughter made the indestructible guardian finally show a hint of weakness.

So the star core took advantage of the opportunity and rushed in.

He bewitched Cocolia, promising eternal life and a new world: "Join us... embrace the new world... Do you want to see Beloberg buried forever in the wind and snow..."

The voice sounded like that of a man or a woman, and had the ability to confuse people. Tim couldn't help but cover his ears to avoid being polluted.

But Kokolia rejected Him with a firm will: "No, you are not trustworthy."

She immediately gave the order and chose to seal the star core.

But there is a Chinese saying: As long as you dig with a good hoe, there is no corner that cannot be dug down.

Beloberg's technology was not enough to seal the star core, but its power bewitched Cocolia day and night, day after day, year after year, until Bronya entered the Klipper Palace.

Cocolia looked at her adopted daughter who respected her wholeheartedly, and her spirit finally began to waver under the day and night bewitching of the Star Core. She had already lost one daughter, was she going to lose a second one?

The Silver Mane Iron Guards' front line was retreating again and again. The people of Yalilo who lost their land were all crowded into the upper administrative district, and the underground mineral veins were becoming increasingly exhausted. In order to defend the last front line, she ordered all the Iron Guards to be withdrawn from the lower district.

Bronya argued with her, insisting that the people of the lower districts could not be abandoned.

As an outsider, Tim watched the quarrel between the two great guardians. Young Bronya was easily deceived by Cocolia and believed that this was a move that would benefit everyone.

In the illusion, Cocolia murmured to herself after Bronya left: "I'm sorry, but there is no place for them in the new world."

Perhaps it was from this time that Cocolia was completely bewitched by the star core.

"Hey, kid! Come back to your senses." Shiluwa suddenly appeared in front of Tim and snapped his fingers.

"Huh," Robin startled and came back to his senses. He looked around and found himself still in the Echo Corridor. Shiluwa was standing in front of him, as if everything that had just happened had never happened.

He grabbed Xiluwa's arm and asked, "Did you see what happened just now?"

"What is that?" Shiluwa was confused and reached out to touch Robin's forehead.

"You weren't burned out by the wind, were you? There's no picture here, and the next phantom hasn't appeared yet."

Robin waved his hands anxiously: "No, I just seemed to have seen the past of the former Great Guardian Cocolia. She was bewitched by the Star Core."

Shiluwa's expression changed from playful to serious. She seemed to realize something: "Go on, why did Cocolia become like this?"

Tim then began to retell the story with his good memory, from the time when Cocolia first became the Great Guardian to when she was crushed by the secular world and believed in the promise of the Star Core.

As Xiluwa listened, she suddenly smiled bitterly: "Perhaps you think she was bewitched by the star core, but I know her. She must have compared countless possibilities before choosing this path."

"Why don't you trust me a little more, Great Guardian?" Shiluwa whispered softly. Perhaps from the day Cocolia became the Great Guardian, everything had been destined to end.

Tim interrupted Shiluwa's thoughts at an inopportune moment: "If Cocolia was really bewitched by the star core and offered Beloberg to some new world, then why did the wind and snow here stop?"

"Bronya, she must have stopped Cocolia." Silva was very sure, but she also had doubts about how Bronya did it.

"Let's keep moving forward. I have a feeling that the truth is just ahead." Robin said, and continued to walk firmly towards the road leading to the truth.

  Meanwhile, the Pillars of Creation.

"Ahem, can you hear me? This is the temporary passage I asked Ah Fu for, to solve a little trouble..."

A voice suddenly came from Bruce's tiny headset. If Tim were here, he would definitely recognize the voice as his adopted brother Dick Grayson.

"You should be working at the police station now, Dick." Bruce lowered his voice and replied in his throat.

"Don't be so surprised. I'm in the restroom of the police station now. I have five minutes. To make a long story short... Tim is in Beloberg."

Dick pulled his Jim and Juan off the toilet and moved to a more comfortable sitting position:

"He used my information to log into the Batmobile two hours ago and has been out of contact for over an hour now."

"You should have informed me immediately, Nightwing." Bruce said gloomily, while deftly pouring hot water for the miner.

"Now, tell me where he was last seen."

  Bat Daddy was furious.
