Chapter 110 Plagiarism
Chapter 111 Plagiarism
Fang Qing looked at the exquisite courtyard in front of her, a little stunned, and turned to look at Lu Can beside her.
"Are you sure it's here? Isn't it said to be an antique shop? Why does it look like someone else's private residence?"
Lu Can looked at the courtyard and villa in front of her for a long time without reacting, until Fang Qing patted her, and then she turned her head with an "ah", "It should be... Yes, the address that person gave is here..."
Before, Lu Can ran to Fang Qing to ask her to go to a part-time job interview together, but Fang Qing was busy with the competition poster and had no mood at all. But Lu Can begged again and again.
"Qingqing, why don't you accompany me to take a look? It's up to you whether to do it or not. Just to give me courage. I really don't dare to go by myself..."
In the end, Fang Qing couldn't stand Lu Can's soft and hard nagging, and was dragged to this place. But looking at the building before them, Fang Qing's doubts returned. "Are you sure you wrote the address right?"
Lu Can, also a little unsure, hurriedly opened the small piece of paper in his pocket and compared it with the house number. "Yes, it's here..."
Before he could finish his words, the large iron gate of the courtyard slowly slid open. With the roar of an engine, a black luxury car slowly drove out, the windows slowly lowered, and a handsome figure flashed by. Lu Can and Fang Qing only had time to see the shiny car body before the exhaust choked them and they fell over.
Lu Can was a little excited. He grabbed Fang Qing's sleeve and shook it, "Fang Qing, did you see that? That car is a Santana. I heard that cars of this brand are very expensive. My God, this is the life of rich people, and the man inside just now was so handsome..."
But Fang Qing was in no mood to appreciate luxury cars and men. The two of them came here to inquire about part-time jobs. Seeing that the big iron gate was about to close, Fang Qing pulled the still envious Lu Can and hurried in, "Hello, is this Mo Ting Hall? We are here to apply for a job."
Inside the gate, a serious middle-aged woman in a black uniform was surprised to see the two of them, then frowned and immediately stopped the two of them, "Who are you? How did you get in? Do you know where this is? Why are you just barging in? Come on, kick them both out!"
Several men rushed over and threw them out without waiting for the two to argue. As the iron gate closed, Fang Qing and the other man climbed to their feet. Lu Can brushed the dirt off his pants, his face etched with indignation. "Why is that old woman so fierce? She kicked us out before we even finished talking. Is being rich such a big deal?"
Fang Qing quickly covered her chattering mouth. "Grandma, please stop talking. People can hear you." Then he turned and looked around, taking in the surroundings.
This generation seemed to live in luxurious single-family villas, with only private cars entering and leaving. Even the neighborhood was paved with clean bricks and stones, and someone was regularly pruning the landscaping. It really didn't look like a place to run a business.
Fang Qing sighed and strode back, dragging Lu Can, who was still eager to knock on the door, with him. "Let's go! Your address must be wrong. There's no way there's an antique shop here. This is clearly an upscale neighborhood. You've been tricked."
Lu Can, bewildered, was dragged a long way by Fang Qing before he finally realized what was happening. Looking at the note in his hand, his features twisted. "Are you saying the person who found me the job was a complete rip-off?"
Fang Qing walked on without looking back. "Or maybe they wrote the address wrong. You'd better ask again."
Their first part-time job failed, and Lu Can, furious, went to find the person who found her the job, clutching the note. Fang Qing finally had time to settle down and start designing the competition poster.
Drawing on the characteristics and meaning of previous competition posters and logos, incorporating the current league's mission and the school's identity, Fang Qing revised the design over a dozen times, finally coming up with three different poster styles.
Wen Ning stood at the drawing board, examining the three drafts, and chose one for the struggling Fang Qing. A slender finger pointed to the one in the middle, "This one has a calmer overall tone, and the design has more contemporary elements. It's more in line with the core idea of this competition, so let's take this one."
With Wen Ning's affirmation, Fang Qing's confidence increased. After working hard for several days, she finally completed the poster design before the deadline.
Because it still needed to dry, Fang Qing locked the door and went to have dinner first, preparing to hand in the poster early the next morning. But soon after Fang Qing left the activity room, a sneaky figure approached the door of the painting club.
...
The next day after class, when Fang Qing stepped into the activity room again, she found that her painting was gone.
Looking at the empty drawing board, Fang Qing was stunned for a long time. Her first reaction was that the drawing board might have fallen and the painting fell in the corner, but she searched every corner of the activity room and couldn't find her work.
The door swung open, and Zhang Han immediately spotted Fang Qing inside. His expression darkened. "Why do I always run into you? Are you doing this on purpose..."
A second later, Fang Qing suddenly turned around, her voice filled with nervousness and anxiety. "Zhang Han, have you seen my drawing on my sketchpad? I left it here yesterday, but I can't find it today."
Zhang Han shut up, glanced at Fang Qing, and curled his lips in disdain. "What do you mean? Are you suspecting I took your drawing?"
"No, I just wanted to ask if you've seen my drawing, or if you've seen anyone come here."
Seeing Zhang Han's sneer, Fang Qing's heart sank. It seemed his drawing was truly lost. He ran out to ask other clubs, including Lu Can and a few others, but no one had noticed anyone coming in last night, and Fang Qing's drawing was completely gone. Looking at the design
in his hand, Fang Qing gritted his teeth and stayed up late to finish another one. The next morning, he arrived at the publicity office with dark circles under his eyes.
By then, more than a dozen people were already waiting outside, their designs in hand. When the teachers from the office arrived, everyone submitted their designs and waited for the results.
Over half an hour later, the judging panel emerged. "Based on our discussions, all the entries were excellent. However, based on the design concept, composition, and color, as well as the spirit of the competition, we've finally decided to select Zhang Xue's design from Architecture Class 2 as the promotional poster for this competition!"
Everyone cast envious glances at a girl in the crowd, but then several teachers made another announcement. "However, we've discovered that a student plagiarized in this design competition! To maintain the school's learning culture, the following two students' works will not be accepted for any competitions for the next year. Fang Qing, Architectural Design 01, and Li Yufang, Management 06. Your submissions are too similar, and your work will not be accepted!"
Fang Qing, standing at the back of the crowd, stared blankly at the teacher's mouth opening and closing, her mind blank.
