Chapter 10: The Final Battle Between Men Part 2
As the whistle sounded, Rosa and Joseph shot out like arrows from a bow, racing across the racetrack like a pair of arrows.
The host and I followed closely behind in the sightseeing electric car.
All you can hear is the sound of "clack clack" of horses' hooves, Rosa and Joseph are riding side by side. As you can imagine, Rosa is showing off her horsemanship in all kinds of heroic ways, and sometimes she even mischievously orders her horse to push Hoss into the ditch on the side of the road. As for Joseph... hehe, if you think he must be like those handsome and exaggerated male protagonists in idol dramas, who can master horsemanship in a week and show off from all angles... then you have really watched too many idol dramas!
Joseph, who was lying directly on the horse's back, was still staggering. If Hoss hadn't been considering Joseph on his back all the time and making various dodging attempts to turn the tide, Joseph would have been thrown out of the Milky Way long ago!
Oh my goodness!
I can't bear to look at it! It's really not an honor to have such a sweetheart!
Your Highness Joseph, please watch your mouth! Your scream is louder than the host's microphone! With so many people watching, can you please restrain yourself a little?
"Rosa fans, scream! Look at our Baron Rosa, with his perfect posture and difficult and exquisite moves, he is simply the Prince of Wind. The foal and the Baron are simply one, and there is no one more suitable for this arena than him. See, Rosa fans, see, what a coordinated jump! Baron Rosa and his precious horse have crossed various obstacles again and again. Baron Rosa is really the best prince!" The host explained passionately.
"Uh... Mr. Host, please explain Joseph!" I pulled the host's clothes helplessly and said in a low voice, it's too much, this host is too biased!
"Oh! Okay!" Seeing my request, the host swallowed his saliva and agreed reluctantly, "A Ferghana horse, it's definitely a Ferghana horse! This colt named Hoss is in no way inferior to Baron Rosa's mount. No matter how difficult the movements are, Hoss can complete them easily, and his movements are even more artistic than Baron Rosa's. And then, uh, then our gossip king Joseph, it's amazing, from beginning to end, he maintained the same movement, hugged the horse's neck tightly, and almost merged with the colt!"
With a "boom", I rolled my eyes because of the black lines on my head. Is this the way he introduced this host?
OK! I touched my nose a little embarrassedly. What the host said... is the truth!
"What's going on? What happened on the field? Why did both contestants stop?" The host suddenly asked himself while looking ahead in confusion.
All the onlookers followed the host's gaze and looked forward, starting to chatter and discuss.
I frowned as I looked at the two people who had stopped in front of me. Why did they stop for no reason? The finish line was just ahead! Were they both being very gentlemanly and yielding?
Hallelujah!
They don't want to pursue me anymore, so they want to admit defeat, right? I couldn't help but half-close my eyes and stare at them. If that was the case, I would definitely let Fox crush both of them!
"No!" the host exclaimed.
Everyone held their breath, waiting for the host's next explanation.
"Why are there so many horse spikes suddenly appearing before the finish line?" the host asked in surprise, "Could it be that someone doesn't want this race to have a winner?"
The sightseeing electric car also drove to the place where Joseph and Rosa stopped. I frowned and looked at the horse tacks scattered all over the ground. Who on earth was so jealous that he didn't want either of them to win? It was obvious that he didn't want either of them to win the right to pursue me!
Oh! It's really annoying!
"It seems that no one wants you to win the competition and snatch away the princess of our Ande College! It's hard to offend the public! Baron, you'd better return to your Austria as soon as possible!" Joseph said with a proud raised eyebrow.
"Hmph! A true hero is fearless, only a coward will give up halfway!" Baron Rosa straightened his back , like a knight who would never retreat, not afraid of the obstacles before him at all.
"Why don't you ask the field workers to come and clean it up! Just treat it as a halftime break!" I suggested helplessly. Indeed, I would be very disappointed if the game was suspended because of these horse spikes!
After all, this is a competition for me!
"No need! If you can't even overcome this little obstacle, how can you protect Feifei?" Baron Rosa said, pulled the reins hard, stepped back a few steps, and shouted, "Gee..."
Rosa's colt galloped away again like an arrow from a bow, with a perfect leap...
"Hiss..." It was the hysterical cry of the horse.
No matter how skilled the horse trainer is or how good the horse is, they still can't resist the great pain of the spikes piercing the hoof. There were too many spikes on the ground, and although it was a jump that even I found incredible, in the end, the horse still lost control.
"Stop, Nick, stop, the Baron orders you to stop..." Baron Rosa tried his best to control the mad colt, but no matter how hard he tried, the horse still ran around in pain because of the horse nails.
"Danger..." I held my breath in surprise, because I saw that the saddle on the colt was a little loose, and Baron Rosa was about to be thrown out.
Not only that, the ground was full of horse nails. If Baron Rosa fell to the ground, he would definitely be injured!
"Damn it! Do all of you have an IQ of zero?" Joseph growled with his thick brows furrowed.
I don't know whether Joseph forgot that he was on Hoss or suddenly got excited, but he stood up on the saddle quite steadily, turned over and leaped forward, quickly and accurately grabbing Baron Rosa who was thrown off the colt.
"Wow... Damn it..." Joseph caught Rosa the moment Baron Rosa landed, but his body fell into the "sea of nails".
"Ah...Joseph, be careful!" I widened my eyes in disbelief, watching Joseph rolling into the "sea of nails", but the disaster was not just that, Baron Rosa's out-of-control colt jumped around and rushed directly towards Joseph.
Seeing that the horse's hoof was about to step on Joseph's face, he turned over swiftly, protected Baron Rosa under himself, and covered his face with one hand to prevent himself from being disfigured.
The out-of-control foal stomped on Joseph's back frantically, and even kicked Joseph on the head several times.
"Ah...Hoss, save Joseph quickly..." I screamed loudly, unable to bear the sight, and in desperation, I could only ask for help from Hoss.
Hearing my shout, Hoss rushed quickly to Baron Rosa's colt, bit its reins, and pulled hard to keep the colt away from Joseph.
"Joseph..." I didn't care if there were any horse spikes on the ground, or if Hoss could control Rosa's colt, and I ran towards Joseph, "Woo, are you okay? Don't scare me!"
I couldn't help crying as I held up the bloodstained Joseph. What should I do? Will Joseph die after losing so much blood?
"Is this the medical room? There are injured people here, please come for support!" The host called the medical room in time.
"Are you okay?" Baron Rosa, who was still in shock, finally came to his senses and looked at the bruised Joseph in disbelief and asked in panic.
"Hmph! Mind your own business!" Joseph sneered faintly and said to Baron Rosa, who was also injured.
"Joseph, you must hold on, don't scare me!" I was shaking unconsciously. The blood from Joseph's body kept flowing. My white puffy skirt was stained with small blood-red flowers, which was a bit shocking.
"Silly boy, I'm fine!" Joseph smiled palely and slowly stretched out his fingers to wipe away my "flowing" tears.
“Wuuuu… I don’t want anything to happen to you. You promised me that you wouldn’t get hurt, you big liar… Wuuuu…” Joseph’s comfort made me more certain that he must be in great pain, and finally I couldn’t control myself and burst into tears on the spot.
Woohoo, you useless guy, Hoss, what happened to your promise to protect Joseph? You actually let him get hurt like this! You must have taken a fancy to Rosa's Pixie, right? Humph! You are such a traitor, I will castrate you when I get back!
"Huff, huff..." Perhaps sensing the resentment in my eyes, Hoss lowered his head aggrievedly and rubbed my arm.
"Oh, don't cry! If you cry, I will be confused..." Seeing me crying like rain, Joseph became flustered, and accidentally pulled the wound on his body, and his face turned blue because of the pain.
"Wuwuwu, don't move! You might really have broken ribs, wuwuwu..." I cried and comforted Joseph, jumped off the horse's back, rolled around holding Rosa, and was stepped on by the horse's hooves a few times. It would be strange if my bones were not broken!
"Haha! Stupid!" Joseph smiled helplessly, "I'm fine, I still have to protect you! I will be here, always here! Believe me!"
"Yeah!" I bit my lips, not letting myself cry out and worry Joseph, and nodded vigorously. I believed him. I believed everything Joseph said!
"Oh! So...good!" Joseph finally showed a relieved smile. The hand that was stretched in the air to touch my face and comfort me suddenly dropped heavily. Joseph finally... "fell asleep" peacefully!
"Wow... liar, you big liar, don't die! Wuuwu..." I no longer cared about the aristocratic etiquette and cultivation, and screamed in panic. Is Joseph dead? Wuuwu, I haven't even become his bride yet, how can he die like this?
"He just lost too much blood. Lay his body flat quickly, otherwise his blood will flow faster!" Baron Rosa, who had been watching the melodrama for a long time, finally couldn't bear it anymore and spoke. He took Joseph directly from my hands and laid him flat on the ground.
"Ah?" I pursed my lips in grievance and sobbed.
" Girls are really idiots. Compared with the golden python, they have no collection value at all!" Baron Rosa said unhappily. He pulled me aside and asked the paramedics who had just arrived to lift Joseph onto a stretcher.
