Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 516 An unexpected encounter

The headmaster's office was very quiet, and Dumbledore's calmness made Snape even more uneasy.
He didn't know that Dumbledore already knew about Voldemort's appearance in advance, and had even captured two Death Eaters and found out where Voldemort came from.
Snape himself was genuinely horrified.
There had been no news of Voldemort for 15 years, which had made most of the wizarding world believe that he had completely disappeared from people. Even Snape himself was somewhat skeptical.
At some point, he had actually made a plan in his mind. If Voldemort really never appeared again, that might not be a bad thing. At least Harry's safety was guaranteed, and he could just stay in this castle as the head of Slytherin and spend the rest of his life there.
But now the Dark Mark had reacted again, which meant that he was going to complete what he and Dumbledore had agreed upon.
Snape's panic was not because of fear. He no longer cared about life and death. What he was really worried about was the unpredictable future. The return of Voldemort meant that the wizarding world would start a new round of bloody storms, and as Harry was at the center of the vortex, no one could guarantee whether he could save his life .
Dumbledore could obviously see what Snape was worried about, but he did not explain the details because this matter also involved Lily, and the entanglement between the two was too complicated. Dumbledore would not speak rashly without informing Lily in advance and getting her permission.
"I already understand this matter, Severus. Let me think about it carefully and investigate further. If I gain anything or need your help later, I will come to you."
Snape didn't think that he could get any solution from Dumbledore immediately. He came here in a hurry just to inform Dumbledore about this matter in advance. He believed that Dumbledore would eventually find a way.
From beginning to end, Jon watched the scene silently. He could see that Snape in this world was significantly different from that in the other world. There was no such lifeless aura in his eyes. After all, he still had a goal here. Although this goal made him love and hate it, protecting Harry was his greatest hope.
After hearing Dumbledore's answer, Snape nodded, and then he turned around and left the headmaster's office without any intention of staying any longer.
However, just as he opened the door and was about to go out, a witch just came to the door, took off her hood, and was about to knock on the door.
At first Snape was absent-minded and didn't pay attention, until he looked up and saw the witch's face!
He was completely still.
It was like a cold storm blew by and froze the whole body into ice. He opened his mouth slightly and stared blankly at the person standing in front of him.
Lily did not react any further. She just frowned, as if she was dissatisfied with the blocked way. Then she hid her right hand in the wide sleeves, and grasped the wand in advance as if she had anticipated something.
“You, you you…”
Snape's voice seemed to be forced out of his throat, hoarse and trembling with disbelief.
His empty and cold eyes revealed an emotion that almost no one had ever seen before. The emotion was extremely complex, indescribable, and moving.
"Who are you!"
Finally, he asked the question.
At the same time, anyone could see how excited he was. In the headmaster's office, Jon and Dumbledore both stood up from their chairs, but their purposes for standing up were completely different.
Jon was standing on a chair, on tiptoe, trying to get a clearer view of the scene; while Dumbledore was paying attention to this unexpected situation between the two, always ready to deal with any bad situation that might occur.
Snape's body was so excited that he started to move subconsciously.
Of course he would not forget Lily's face. Even though the person in front of him was quite different from the witch he remembered from more than ten years ago in temperament and appearance, Snape's brain still told him firmly that he had not recognized the wrong person!
But his reason also reminded him that the real Lily had died long ago. He even attended the funeral in secret and saw the corpse that would never be able to open its eyes.
That's why he asked the question "Who are you?" at this time.
While asking this question, he also stretched out his trembling hand, subconsciously trying to hold down Lily's shoulder. However, before he could execute the action, the straight magic wand was already against his head.
"Falling unconscious."
The tip of the wand had already been poked into Snape's greasy hair, so there was no reason why the spell would go astray.
Before he fell into coma, Snape's face still maintained that expression of disbelief mixed with hidden ecstasy and a small amount of suspicious anger.
“Plop!”
His body fell to the ground, and after doing all this, Lily just stepped over him expressionlessly and walked into the principal's office.
After reading all this, Jon smacked his lips. He didn't know whether he was lamenting that dogs who bootlick must not have a good death, or feeling sorry for Snape's tragedy.
The expression on Dumbledore's face was more of helplessness, but he did not preach to Lily about her actions. Even if she had killed Snape directly, she had the qualifications to do so.
Lily herself acted as if nothing had happened. She came to Dumbledore's desk and put down a pile of golden fragments in a box.
After seeing this familiar pile of fragments, John and Dumbledore's attention was instantly drawn to it.
"You succeeded?"
Jon found something that looked like half a pocket watch pointer from the pile of debris.
Lily nodded and said .
"As you said, I went to the forest in Albania and indeed found some signs of black magic left in it. I tried to destroy the time converter at those locations and finally succeeded this afternoon when the sun was about to set."
After listening to her story, Jon couldn't help but feel a lot more relaxed.
Although the whereabouts of the golden cup is still unknown, at least this time-converter that helped Voldemort connect the two worlds has been destroyed. Destroying all the remaining Horcruxes is just for insurance purposes to prevent Voldemort from having any hidden tricks.
Afterwards, Jon also told Lily about their trip today. Now their goal couldn't be clearer.
That is to find the Hufflepuff gold cup that has once again caused trouble in the wizarding world under the name of Voldemort himself!
