Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 509: 12 Grimmauld Place
Although John's memory of the Horcrux had become a lot more vague, he still hadn't forgotten some specific information.
For example, Nagini's snake was made into a Horcrux only after Voldemort was found by Wormtail. According to the current situation, this Horcrux should not exist yet.
The diary was destroyed in Harry's second year, and the tiara hidden in the Room of Requirement was also found. The remaining ones include Hufflepuff's gold cup hidden in Gringotts, the Resurrection Stone ring hidden in the Gaunt family's old house, and Slytherin's locket hidden in the Black family's ancestral home.
These places and things are not difficult to find and obtain. The only one that is a bit difficult is the gold cup in Gringotts.
The vault where it is located belongs exclusively to the Lestrange family. Under normal circumstances, the goblins do not allow anyone else to enter except the Lestrange family members, even though the Lestrange family has basically moved to Azkaban and reunited.
But even Harry and his companions in the original book found a way to sneak into Gringotts and steal the gold cup, so it was naturally not a difficult task for Jon.
But he always felt like he had forgotten something, and it seemed to be something very important.
Jon thought hard for a long time, trying to recall the past, but he still couldn't remember what he had forgotten.
Until just before leaving Hogwarts, he saw Harry asking eagerly if he could go out with Lily. Suddenly, a flash of lightning flashed through his mind, and he finally remembered what he had forgotten!
He slapped his forehead.
Only now did John recall that Voldemort created more than just six Horcruxes in the original book.
On the night he killed the Potters, he also turned Harry into one of his Horcruxes without knowing it!
This is the most troublesome thing.
Harry is a living person, and the current known methods of destroying Horcruxes are to directly destroy the Horcruxes themselves. In other words, if all Horcruxes are really to be destroyed, it would be equivalent to killing Harry as well.
As for the original book, Harry and Voldemort had the final showdown, and Voldemort himself used the Killing Curse to kill the part of the Horcrux soul that belonged to him hidden in Harry's body.
The reasons for this situation are very complicated and require many prerequisites, but obviously these prerequisites no longer exist and will never appear again, so Harry's current condition has become a big problem.
Jon frowned and looked at Lily thoughtfully. Although he was moved, he still insisted on rejecting Harry.
No one else noticed anything, but Dumbledore seemed to see the change in John's expression. When John noticed his gaze, the two looked at each other.
I didn't mean to hide this from Dumbledore, but even if I told Dumbledore now, he definitely wouldn't have any good solution, otherwise the ending would not be the same as in the original book.
Not thinking about it any more, he planned to find all the Horcruxes outside first, and then consider how to deal with Harry's problem.
If it really doesn't work, just take Harry back and think of other ways.
Jon gathered his thoughts, took the things Dumbledore had prepared for him, left Hogwarts, and headed for the first Horcrux hiding place.
He first arrived at Diagon Alley in London through the Floo Network, and then found the only address in northwest London according to what Dumbledore gave him, a location about twenty minutes' walk from King's Cross Station.
This place looked no different from other Muggle communities, and there weren't even any particularly strange buildings. Until Jon waved his wand, and without anyone noticing, the two houses in front of him suddenly jumped open, revealing a quaint residence with a rich historical atmosphere.
12 Grimmauld Place.
This is the ancestral home of Sirius Black's family. In today's world, even though Wormtail escaped like in the original book, Sirius Black's crime has not been cleared and he is now hiding in his old home.
Jon came to the scratched, black-painted door. The silver door handle was in the shape of a coiled snake. There was no keyhole or mailbox on the door.
Following the spell Dumbledore taught him, Jon waved the wand in his hand, and the next second, the door opened from the middle.
After he walked in, the door slowly closed again, completely blocking out the sunlight outside. The entire No. 12 Grimmauld Place fell into darkness and silence again. Only a pair of shining and indifferent eyes looked at Jon.
As the dim candlelight lit up, Jon saw a large dog with shiny black hair standing in the middle of the room.
On the wall next to it, there was a mural depicting a woman who seemed to have woken up from a nap. She was cursing loudly in a sharp and intense voice, using very unpleasant words.
Faintly, one could see an extremely old house-elf hiding behind the stair railing not far away, secretly watching the big black dog and Jon who .
Sirius had no intention of attacking Jon immediately. He was a bit reckless, but not stupid.
The number of people who knew how to get into Number 12 Grimmauld Place could be counted on one hand, and these people were people he could trust enough. John's youthful appearance also played a role at this time, making Sirius less wary.
Jon didn't leave any time for misunderstanding to arise. He directly took out the letter from Dumbledore and handed it to Sirius.
"Professor Dumbledore arranged for me to come here to pick up something."
The vigilance in Sirius' eyes did not disappear, but after hearing Jon's words, he still turned into a human form. The letter flew out of Jon's hand and finally landed in his hand.
After reading the brief content of the letter and seeing Dumbledore's unique proof at the end of the signature, Sirius turned his attention back to John.
The alertness in his eyes had disappeared, but there was not much intimacy in it, he just said.
"If you need to find something, I'll take you there."
Jon didn't care about his attitude, and Sirius was the same at first in the original world.
"That thing should be in the glass cabinet next to the fireplace in the living room on the second floor. It's a locket with a snake relief on the surface."
Hearing him report such an accurate location, Sirius' eyes showed more doubt, but he did not ask any more questions immediately. Instead, he turned around and led the way.
"Come with me."
Jon followed behind him and keenly noticed the face of the old house-elf hiding behind the stair railing, which showed an expression of panic and shock.
