Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 504: Two Remarkable Guests

Before receiving the letter, Mag was doing her usual work.
She finished her third-year Transfiguration class in the afternoon, and listened to Filch's complaints about what school rules the Weasley twins had violated. Finally, just as she was about to go to the hall for dinner, she received the letter from the Hogsmeade Owl Post Office near the foyer on the first floor.
The content of the letter was very brief. It just said that a student who graduated from Hogwarts a long time ago wanted to visit her alma mater and also wanted to meet her former professors. Now she was at the gate of the campus.
Mag didn't think much about it.
There are countless wizards who have graduated from Hogwarts in the UK. Every year, it is inevitable that some people want to return to the castle to reminisce about the time when they studied and lived here. So after receiving the letter, it was natural that McGonagall turned from the hallway and walked out of the castle.
Then, through the school gate, she saw that familiar yet extremely unfamiliar face!
The first thing that McGonagall thought of was the person who had been dead for more than a decade. However, everyone in the wizarding world knew that no one in that family survived except Harry, not to mention that McGonagall had seen Lily's body with her own eyes.
So, she came back to her senses the next second after being stunned, and continued to stare at Lily's face, wondering if she had made a mistake and that they were just two people who looked very similar.
"Who are you?"
Lily looked at Mag, who looked younger, with fewer wrinkles and no longer haggard compared to the other world, and answered softly.
"Professor, don't you recognize me?"
After being asked this question, Mag fell into a frowning silence again. She looked at Lily again, with sternness and alienation in her eyes.
"Madam, please don't joke about the dead, especially since she is a great witch and her son still lives in this castle!"
Lily seemed to have guessed that something like this might happen. She was already prepared. She took a deep breath, looked into Mag's eyes, and spoke sincerely.
"Do you remember when we were in sixth grade? Professor, I was confused at that time. It was you who found me in the girls' bathroom that evening, enlightened me, and taught me some truths. Only then was I able to come out of that period."
This was obviously a secret known only to Lily and Mag. After hearing this, Mag's eyes suddenly became shocked and unbelievable!
There is no memory in the wizarding world that can be concealed forever. Whether it is Legilimency or Veritaserum, memories can be retrieved without the knowledge of the person concerned. But everyone knows that Lily Potter has been dead for fifteen years!
The world has never heard of magic that can extract memories from the minds of the dead.
But at the same time, Mag had never heard of any magic in this world that could truly resurrect the dead!
What’s more, this person has been dead for such a long time, and now this "Lily" looks as if she had never died and has lived until now.
By the way, there was also the boy next to her who hadn’t spoken a word from the beginning, but had been staring at the Hogwarts Castle with an expression of emotion that was very inconsistent with his age. No matter how you looked at it, he and “Lily” looked like a mother and son.
And even if Lily really survived because of some secret, would she have another child?
Or maybe James is not dead, and this boy is actually Harry's younger brother?
Mag's mind suddenly became a mess, with countless thoughts flashing through her mind, but she was more inclined to guess that this "Lily" was someone else pretending to be her, and she just happened to know some things that happened in the past.
But...what if it's true?
Mag couldn't help but think about this tiny hope, and it was actually very simple to prove it.
She looked at Lily solemnly.
"Since you are a former student who has returned, you wouldn't mind meeting the principal of this school again, right?"
Whether it was true or false, there was no way to hide it from Dumbledore's eyes. Even if it was false , no matter what conspiracy this "fake Lily" had, as long as Dumbledore was there, he would not let her succeed.
To meet Dumbledore was what Lily and John were most eager for.
Instead of convincing anyone else, as long as they could convince Dumbledore, there wouldn't be any other trust issues.
The reason why they wrote to McGonagall first was that Dumbledore was very busy regardless of peace or not, and he could not guarantee that he would be in Hogwarts Castle every minute. However, it was different for McGonagall, the deputy headmaster.
Letting McGonagall take them to see Dumbledore would undoubtedly be a better choice.
Seeing that Lily accepted her proposal, Magg did not stop and opened the door.
If Dumbledore had not been in the castle at this moment, she would never have done this, but now that the old man was in the headmaster's office, she certainly didn't have to worry about anything.
"Follow me and don't go anywhere else alone."
McGonagall warned seriously, and then led the way, deliberately avoiding the direction of the Great Hall because Harry was having dinner there at the moment.
Soon they arrived at the door of the principal's office. This was beyond Mag's expectations. Lily and John behaved very normally from beginning to end. They didn't show any intention of escaping halfway or taking the opportunity to do anything to the castle.
This made her heart even more shaken.
No one in this world would dare to pretend to be Lily to challenge Dumbledore so blatantly. Even Voldemort might not dare to come to Hogwarts and confront Dumbledore face to face. So... is it possible that this Lily is real?
Finally, Mag looked at Lily with a complicated look, but Lily just looked at her calmly.
There was a knock on the door of the principal's office, and the next second, an old voice that was extremely familiar to the three people present came from inside.
"Come in."
Mag pushed the door open, and Lily and Jon followed her in.
After they entered the door, they saw the old man sitting in front of the office, wiping his crescent-shaped glasses with a handkerchief.
Seeing a living Dumbledore again, Lily couldn't help but have tears in her eyes, and Jon couldn't help but feel a little sad.
"Dumbledore, I have brought here a student who claims to have graduated from the school a long time ago."
Listening to McGonagall's words, Dumbledore also put on his glasses, and then his blue eyes focused on Lily and Jon.
He looked a little surprised, thoughtful and confused.
"These two are truly remarkable guests."
