Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 495: Entry Point for Solving the Problem
The headmaster's office at Durmstrang was quiet.
Grindelwald's words filled Jon with shock and thought.
He was seriously thinking about whether the development of this matter would evolve as Grindelwald expected.
If everyone in the world becomes a wizard, then there will be no such thing as Muggle. And when Muggles no longer exist, the so-called bloodline will be even more nonsense.
Even if there were some conflicts at the beginning due to the exchange of knowledge between the two sides, as long as there was no terrorist like Voldemort appearing, such conflicts would only be limited to a small part.
Even if the conflict escalates, the Muggles who have newly acquired magical powers want to use violence to take over all wizarding powers, or another extremist group appears among wizards who intends to regain control of world hegemony.
But as long as things that have been changed cannot be undone, no matter which side they are on, they cannot change the general trend.
When enough time has passed, the concept of Muggles will completely disappear, because there will be no essential difference between all people, and magic will exist in every household in the world.
Jon looked up at Grindelwald, and he finally understood what kind of vision and grand ideals this old man had.
No wonder he never took Voldemort seriously.
"So, did your plan succeed?" Jon couldn't help but ask.
The prerequisite for achieving all these goals is that Grindelwald has found a way to turn Muggles into wizards, and the implementation of this method cannot be too difficult. Otherwise, if it only changes a small number of people but fails to cover the entire world, it will only exacerbate the contradiction.
Grindelwald said calmly.
"It was still a little lacking, but thanks to the former deputy headmaster of Hogwarts Castle, the most difficult part of the problem has been solved. Now we are carrying out a pilot project in a Muggle town. If there are no problems in this pilot project, we can implement this plan in a year at most."
Hearing him say this, Jon's eyes widened even more. He didn't expect Grindelwald's progress had reached this level.
He originally thought that this was not a major project that would take ten or twenty years, but at least it was not something that could be accomplished in just one or two years.
But if you think about it carefully, if Grindelwald had already started preparing this plan before leaving the tower, then he had indeed been preparing for it for more than ten years.
"But there is a terrorist in the wizarding world right now."
Jon did not just focus on the future envisioned by Grindelwald.
"If you really do what you want, then you will most likely be helping Voldemort. He has never been satisfied with just ruling the wizarding world. When he truly becomes the leader of all wizards, he will definitely set his sights on Muggles. If Muggles also become wizards with magical powers at this time, he will also judge them as inferior and spread the bloodline system throughout the world."
Grindelwald did not deny the question raised by John.
"In fact, I never doubted whether Albus could solve Voldemort's problem at the beginning, but after he told me his conjecture, I knew that the ambitious man was much more difficult to deal with than I thought."
He looked at Jon, his eyes meeting Jon's.
"It was at that time that I agreed to Albus's last request, which was to protect you if anything happened to him. As for how to defeat Voldemort, you need to figure it out on your own. We have different divisions of labor."
Jon took a deep breath at his words and didn't say anything more.
The issue of wizards and Muggles is actually a time bomb buried deep under the Statute of Secrecy. The bloodline theory brought up by Voldemort is the fuse of this bomb that is already being ignited.
All far-sighted people in history knew that this bomb would explode sooner or later. In the early 20th century, Grindelwald wanted to detonate the bomb in advance to ensure the dominant position of wizards, but was vetoed by Dumbledore.
And now, at the end of the twentieth century, Voldemort also wants to use this bomb to fulfill his almost endless desire.
But after coming out of his enlightenment place, Grindelwald had a new understanding of how to resolve the bomb. This is where he and Voldemort have always been different.
No matter when, he always practices the life creed of "for the greater good", and what he is doing now is the greatest benefit for all mankind.
This is also the reason why Dumbledore never said he would intervene to stop him after he knew his thoughts and actions from the beginning.
Perhaps the two old men had already tacitly started their respective division of labor, one preparing for future changes, and the other struggling to solve current problems.
Only now, the old man who had fought all his life has begun his eternal sleep, and Jon is responsible for taking over the road he had not yet completed.
After finishing the conversation with Grindelwald, Jon did not stay here any longer. He returned to the room arranged for him by Durmstrang and spent the night quietly.
At dawn the next day, before Jon even went out, Mag suddenly came to Jon.
She did not come alone, but was holding a golden branch with a red bird perched on it.
"According to what Albus left behind, Fawkes will be in your care from now on. Of the rest of us, he's the only one willing to follow you."
Of course Jon did not refuse the task. He took the golden branch from Mag. Fawkes looked in a bad mood. After Jon took it, it jumped onto Jon's shoulder and rubbed its head against Jon's face.
Touching Fawkes' feathers as a kind of comfort to it, Jon asked Mag at the same time.
"Is Professor Slughorn back?"
"He also came here to find us the night you brought Albus back. He is now staying in a temporary base on the Finnish Witch Line. If you want to find him, I will take you there using the Floo powder."
McGonagall also looked extremely haggard, and she and Flitwick had not yet agreed whether to disclose Dumbledore's affairs to the students and others.
But John knew that there was no need to hide this matter at all, because as long as Dumbledore did not appear , the more it was concealed, the more negative effects it would have. It would be better to say it directly from the beginning.
He believed that Magg and Flitwick could actually see this, they just weren't willing to accept it yet and needed some time to process it.
Under Mag's guidance, Jon quickly passed through Durmstrang's Floo network and arrived at the Wizarding World's base in Finland.
This is a two-story building with only three people living in it. Apart from Slughorn who had just arrived, there were only Sirius and Bill living here temporarily.
When Jon arrived, Sirius and Bill were already out, leaving Slughorn alone sitting in the living room.
He looked very unhappy, and his favorite candied pineapple or other desserts were not on the coffee table. He just sat there quietly, not knowing what he was thinking about.
After seeing Jon coming, he suddenly stood up and looked at Jon, with an obviously nervous expression on his face.
John knew that there were some news that he was still unaware of, and he only learned about the information from Voldemort through the newspapers outside.
So, Jon took a deep breath and told Slughorn about Dumbledore first.
"The professor is not dead, but his condition is not very good. According to Headmaster Grindelwald's estimation... he is now like a person whose soul has been taken away by a Dementor."
Slughorn stood there in a daze, then fell back onto the sofa.
He seemed to have been mentally prepared but was unable to accept the fact directly. He stared at the coffee table in front of him in silence.
Jon didn't disturb him, but just sat on the single sofa chair beside him.
It was not until a long time later that Slughorn took out the wooden box from his pocket and placed it on the coffee table.
"So, what use can something that Albus died for be to us?"
Jon took the wooden box and opened it. The time converter with its pointer constantly turning was lying quietly in a pile of gold sand in the box.
This is the root of it.
The root of disaster.
"The professor killed him once, and then I killed him once too."
Jon spoke to Slughorn very seriously, and this news made Slughorn look obviously surprised.
"This means that he is not invincible. Professor Dumbledore's sacrifice this time tells us a direction. If we remain ignorant of this, and kill Voldemort again and again without figuring out why he can be resurrected successfully every time, the price we pay will be even greater."
His words helped Slughorn to regain control of himself.
"So what should we do? We should find a way to destroy Voldemort's Horcrux in another world? That is neither the past nor the future, it is another world entirely. Voldemort can come here because he created all of this. We can't get there at all."
"Calm down, teacher. Think about it carefully. Actually, we don't need to go through so much trouble." Jon took out the time converter from the wooden box. Golden quicksand was constantly sliding down from the converter.
"This time-turner is the real key. It ensures that Voldemort can use the bridge of the Horcrux in another timeline to revive. It is so important to Voldemort that enough people must be sent to watch over it. So we can also put the entry point to solve the problem on it!"
