Volume 8: In this Hogwarts without the Dark Lord Chapter 493 How to resolve this hegemony war

Jon picked up the elder wand from the ground.
He could feel the powerful force contained in the wand, and he completely submitted to it and used it as he pleased.
Dumbledore smiled as Jon picked up the Elder Wand.
"Don't forget what I told you before. Sometimes when you have to make a choice, the answer is actually that simple."
Jon clenched the wand in his hand. He knew what Dumbledore was talking about and nodded heavily.
Dumbledore seemed to have finished explaining everything to John. He turned around and looked at McGonagall and Flitwick.
"I have to say goodbye to many old friends. A school with a principal like me is a failure. Professors like you may be the luckiest thing that these children have encountered."
Magg was sobbing at this time, and Flitwick turned his back to wipe his tears.
Finally, he looked at Grindelwald, who had been staring at him silently in front of the bed.
"Like we said before, you should have a long talk with Jon."
Dumbledore said quietly.
Grindelwald's voice seemed indifferent, but careful people would discover the tremor hidden behind the indifference.
"I know my limits ."
"You are just too sensible sometimes." Dumbledore's voice has become long. "It's hard to say whether this is a shortcoming or an advantage, but it is better than me. In a sense, I am just a decadent conservative. You all want innovation, and I am afraid that change will bring too much impact to the world. But in fact, no period of history is unchanging, so after you walked out of that tower, I never pointed fingers at what you were doing."
Dumbledore glanced around at Jon, McGonagall and the others.
"Can you give these two old guys some privacy? I have something else I want to say to him."
Although Jon and the others were very sad, they still listened to Dumbledore's words and walked out of the ward together, leaving him and Grindelwald with private space.
After they had all left, Dumbledore slowly closed his eyes. He looked extremely tired and seemed like he would fall asleep at any moment.
"I asked you to promise me before. I won't force you to do it. If the time comes, just do it according to your mood."
"You don't need to tell me this, I know what to do."
"Ah~ Yes, you are a person with strong opinions..."
A knowing smile appeared on his face, and the voice that seemed to be whispering in a dream finally rang out.
"Say sorry to Aberforth again for me... I'm going to find Ariana... If you don't want to see him again... let Jon tell him..."
This clearly sounded like a promise that was easy to agree to, but it left Grindelwald silent for a long time.
When the stars outside the window lit up and the bright moonlight rose high, shining on Dumbledore, who was not sure whether he had fallen asleep or not, he answered softly.
"I see."
Dumbledore fell into an endless sleep.
Just as he told Jon, this was not death, but a traded journey. He had worked hard all his life and now he really needed some time for himself to rest.
McGonagall was discussing with Flitwick whether or not to announce the news to the people in the Order of the Phoenix and the students of Hogwarts. Ever since Jon brought Dumbledore back yesterday and Voldemort announced his death, everyone was concerned about Dumbledore's current condition.
Grindelwald did not participate in their discussion, he just looked at Jon seriously.
"You know what Albus wanted me to say to you?"
Jon had calmed himself down. He put the Elder Wand into the sleeve of his robes and met Grindelwald's eyes.
"I can probably guess that it has something to do with the monastery you once took me to?"
Grindelwald did not comment on his answer. He just gestured for Jon to follow him, and the two returned to the headmaster's office at Durmstrang together.
The two sat down across the desk from each other. There was no tea or dessert. Unlike Dumbledore, Grindelwald didn't seem to prepare these when talking about serious matters.
"You already know what I have done in the past."
Jon nodded. He actually knew more about Grindelwald's past deeds than most people.
"Albus and I had the same ambition when we were young, but some things happened afterwards that made us go our separate ways. He became a professor who taught and educated people, while I continued to pursue that bigger dream."
Grindelwald pointed to his eyes.
" I am a prophet. This is a gift the world gave me when I was born. It is also because of this that I always have farsightedness far beyond others. At the beginning of this century, I saw the future of mankind."
"Muggles will have a huge leap forward, and their technology will grow to the point where they can destroy a city in an instant. This made me panic at the time. Before they mastered such powerful abilities, wizards were forced to shrink into a corner of the world, lingering like cockroaches. If they mastered this power, I concluded that there would be no way for magic to survive in this world."
"So, I decided that the wizarding world must take the initiative and tear up the Statute of Secrecy, and complete the domination ."
" The result is obvious. I failed. Dumbledore defeated me, completely crushed my plan, and imprisoned me in a high tower. As for the Muggles, they have developed extremely terrifying things, just as I have seen. It is only because the Statute of Secrecy is well maintained by the current Ministry of Magic that the conflict between wizards and Muggles has not occurred. Instead, a war has begun among wizards themselves."
There was an unfathomable depth in Grindelwald's eyes.
"I actually thought about a lot of things in that tower. I never doubted that my ideas were wrong. The conflict between wizards and Muggles has always existed, but the Statute of Secrecy is like a fragile isolation board that hides this conflict. But once this isolation board is destroyed one day, the world will face a life-and-death test."
"Just like what Voldemort is doing now, the more frequent the wars between wizards, the easier it is for magic to be exposed to Muggles. Even if this isolation barrier is still maintained, his desires are endless, and the wizarding world is not the whole of the world. By that time, the war I foresaw will inevitably break out."
"So what can we do to resolve the war between these two species for world hegemony?"
