Volume 6: Summer at Spider's End Alley Chapter 453 Summer

The final outcome between Jon and Matthew was naturally a bad one.
It was impossible for them to reach any consensus. Matthew himself could not represent the opinions of the Magical Congress of the United States of America, and John could not represent both Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
Even if John's barrage of criticism were to happen, it wouldn't have any serious consequences. Even if the Magical Congress of the United States of America were really so crazy as to decide to ally with Voldemort, it wouldn't bring about any changes.
Just as Snape said, the key to victory in the Wizarding War always lies in just a few people.
After a friendly exchange with Matthew, Jon walked towards Snape's house on Spinner's End.
Lily has been carrying his feather on her body for a long time, and now there should be a result.
Although he could actually guess the result when Snape left.
When they arrived at Snape's house, the door was not locked, and John easily pushed it open and walked into the messy living room.
There was only one person standing in the room.
Lily stood in front of the drawn curtains. The midday sun was blocked by the brown curtains, revealing only an orange-yellow glow, just like the sunset glow.
Against this backdrop, the scene in the living room looked like a pantomime that had come to an end.
A middle-aged man with greasy long hair and wearing a dark robe fell to the ground. Under him, a shocking pool of blood was spreading in all directions.
Lily just stood in front of Snape's body, holding her wand like a stone statue. She didn't move at all, and one couldn't even feel her breathing. She just kept her head down, looking at the back on the ground which was gradually becoming cold.
Jon didn't say anything either.
After he came in, he quietly turned around and closed the door, preventing the play from being shown to the outside world, and hiding the final result from the sight of the two people.
This kind of silence lasted for a long time. The air remained quiet for such a long time that one could even feel the dust flying in the air with one's heart.
Until Lily's slightly hoarse voice sounded in this enclosed space.
“The most difficult thing to change in this world is people.”
"Words are always powerless. Only facts that have already happened can make people draw lessons, but what's the use of that?"
"Can the forgiveness of others really cover up the mistake itself? Never. A mistake is a mistake. No matter how you apologize, make amends, or cover up the mistake with another mistake, there is no way to change the objective fact that the mistake has already happened."
"Wizards are all emotional, because magic requires us to be emotional. But before I became an emotional wizard, everything I came into contact with told me that objectivity cannot be changed by human subjectivity. Magic reversed this matter, but it is not omnipotent after all."
She looked up at Jon. There was no excitement, no joy, no hatred or anger on her face. She was still so calm, as calm as today and every day before. She and Jon were still looking for Snape's trace and were now planning what to have for lunch.
"Many people think I'm only alive for revenge now, Jon."
She ended the conversation, not sure if she was talking to herself or not.
"But sometimes I think that what I have to do is not revenge, but to continue living for the dead. Those so-called James and Harry's words that they must want me to live happily and safely are actually deceiving myself. How can I continue living for the dead? What I should do is to let someone in this world remember them. So I have to find Wormtail, Snape, and Voldemort, and let them know that there is a living woman who is thinking about them every moment. The reason for this is because they were once related to the death of a father and son. This father and son - James Potter and Harry Potter, will become names that they will never forget in their hearts, because someone is living for them."
"Now we have completed two of them."
Lily crouched down in front of Snape's body.
"Can you please continue to do me a favor?"
Jon saw what she was going to do, nodded and walked to Snape's body. The two of them lifted him up one after the other, and then Lily used Apparition.
The next moment, their figures disappeared from the room, and they reappeared on the sea cliff where countless tombstones stood.
The weather here is very good. The wet and salty sea breeze brings warm sunshine to the cemetery, accompanied by the sound of waves gently lapping against the rocks.
Lily had obviously memorized the location of the two tombstones, one big and one small, deeply in her mind. She took Jon to Apparate without any mistake, right in front of the two tombstones.
Right next to them, there was a small pile of scattered bones, with a skull standing on top of it. The sea breeze blew the bones away, but one could still vaguely see that the owner of the bones was kneeling in front of the two tombstones before his flesh and blood were completely corroded.
Lily did not make Snape's body kneel in front of the tombstone of the Potter father and son like Wormtail had done before, but just laid him flat in front of the tombstone.
The sea breeze blew her long red hair, and white seagulls made sad bird calls over the sea not far away.
"I didn't kill him."
Lily sat in front of the tombstone, hugged her knees and hid the lower half of her face between her legs.
"He broke his wand before he came here. He never meant to hurt me from the beginning to the end. He came to me just to seek death."
Jon was cleaning the bird droppings and stains on the surrounding tombstones one by one, while repairing some weathered tombstones.
He didn't listen to what Lily said. A family always needs some private space when they are together, and Jon knew when he should maintain the necessary distance.
"He has never done anything wrong to me, and there has never been any right or wrong between you and him. The only person he feels sorry for is Harry."
"So I killed him for Harry, James. I hope you don't mind that. It's just like my attitude towards him. What I did was wrong. The same applies to you. But the last thing he said, calling me a mudblood for the second time, I know why he was doing that."
"He didn't want me to have a bad impression of his suicide after he asked for death, so he did everything he could to prepare for his own death. He was very thoughtful and I appreciate his kindness, but even if he didn't perform like this, I wouldn't feel guilty or sad."
Lily spoke quietly, as if the family were still sitting together, James grumbling after finishing a glass of brandy, Harry happily sitting in the baby seat rocking the magic maraca that Sirius had given him, and Lily was complaining about her husband's faults and the people she had encountered today.
"I know very well that people cannot treat other people as something they have imagined or filled in, because that would subconsciously beautify or deteriorate them as much as possible. I miss and remember everything Snape did to help me and get along with me when I was a child, but that can only be a beautiful memory. Severus at that time was not the Snape who entered Hogwarts later. Just as I often tell you that humans are the most complex creatures, good and bad are never absolute, but bad should never be covered up by good."
"I promised you before, but now I am still one person short. He killed you with his own hands. I can't guarantee that I will bring back his body like I did today. That man has done many more unforgivable things. Our family is just a microcosm of his life. The Phoenix Society has become what it is today because there are so many people like me and you. But even with so many people together, we still can't guarantee 100% that we have succeeded in killing him. This is difficult, but many people are working hard to do it, just like this cemetery is expanding every year, and the tombstones are growing as if they are growing on their own."
Lily spoke calmly, but at some point, two tear marks appeared on her face.
"The tragedy we have experienced cannot continue to happen. James, Harry, and others who died for this should not continue to appear. There are still many children waiting to see the magical power and come into contact with the peaceful wizarding world. Every corpse on this land carries more than just the revenge they speak of, more than just that kind of hatred."
"And the future, all the hope that each of us has for the future."
"I hope you know that I think the same way, and I always have."
As Lily spoke, Jon stood at the edge of the cliff.
He gazed at the sea in the distance, his mind was completely empty at this moment, thinking of nothing. The sea breeze blew up the fine hair on his forehead and the hem of his robe.
The midday sun is slowly moving towards the west, just as everything in the world is continuing in an unchanging cycle.
"The sun is really nice today, isn't it?"
The body that belonged to the witch whose original surname was "Coulibaly" was leaning against a bench, squinting at the sun that was setting slowly from the highest point in the sky.
Three meters in front of him, a wizard was crawling on the ground trembling. He didn't dare to look up, and didn't know how to answer such a question.
"But no matter how good the sun is, it is still unfair." The witch's voice was not soft, but rather neutral and cold. "Not everything on the ground can feel its warmth. Big trees can, mountains can, and the ocean can, but the grass-covered soil under our feet cannot."
The wizard buried his head even lower, as if he wanted to immediately blend into this land that had never been warmed by the sun.
"So why do some people not want to be like the clouds in the sky that always shine the sun, letting everything in the world feel its thunder and storms, but instead want to get close to the soil on the ground?"
"I gave him the opportunity to be a cloud. It has always been there. This is a reward for his most correct decision ever. But he never knew how to cherish it. He was even willing to die for such filth?"
"Koulibaly" chuckled. He looked very angry, but there was no way for people to use the word "angry" to describe the expression on his face and the words he said.
The wizard knew that he couldn't remain mute forever, no matter what, he had to say something.
"Some people cannot appreciate your mercy, Master! You have done your best for him! He has brought this upon himself!"
The witch picked up a cup of black tea. Ever since he changed his identity, he seemed to have fallen in love with it. The warm water could soothe certain physiological phenomena that could not be changed.
"I have no problem with him bringing this upon himself, but he gave that thing to Dumbledore."
"I will do my best to get it back!" The wizard gritted his teeth and said, "They must not have left Britain yet. We have found their Apparition traces. Although their landing point is strongly shielded, I believe someone in the Ministry of Magic will be able to deal with it!"
He got a cold answer.
"I hate empty words. You have been with me for a long time, you should know that. If you can really do such a thing, you would not regard me as your master."
The wizard was shaking, not knowing how to make new promises.
The witch shook her head in disappointment, put down her teacup, put on her wide-brimmed pointed hat, and stood up from her chair.
"Give the things to Dumbledore. Now I don't care how you explain to the other me. Take control of the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic as quickly as possible. Bribe all the Unspoken People who can be bribed, and let those who cannot be bribed meet accidents themselves, and then replace them all with our people. The work of the Department of Mysteries remains the same. You must do whatever the Ministry of Magic assigns you to do, but take good care of those ineffective things. If you encounter special circumstances, throw them behind the curtain of the Hall of Death. You can do this little thing, right?"
The wizard answered loudly and firmly.
"Countless purebloods are longing for your arrival! You are our only master! Your orders are the direction for each of us to move forward..."
He was flattering the person, and when he said this, he suddenly seemed to have thought of something. He paused cautiously for a moment, then asked hesitantly.
"But regarding Barty Crouch... we have tried to contact him, but he has never made his position clear. He is deeply trusted by the other you. I wonder... do you need to contact him and let him know who he should be loyal to?"
"Kulibaly" only left behind his back facing the sun.
"No one needs to care about him. Just pretend that he never existed."
