Volume 6: Summer at Spider's End Alley Chapter 424 Will You Come to Me?
Frank, who lives in Devon, thinks he has found love.
That is Miss Marita Coulibaly, who lives at the foot of the town. She moved to the small town of Biris only three years ago. Everyone else in the town thinks she is a strange woman.
He stays in his house all day, either studying those strange flowers and plants that no one is allowed to touch, or hiding on the second floor where no one is allowed to go up, doing someone unknown thing.
But Frank thought Miss Coulibaly was a very attractive woman.
It was a mysterious and intellectual beauty that normal people could not experience. He liked looking at this lady wearing an ancient robe that normal people would never wear. He also secretly saw her wearing a pointed hat that only naughty little girls would wear on Halloween.
When she discovered that her little secret was discovered by Frank, Miss Coulibaly looked very nervous. She held a small wooden stick in her hand and kept asking Frank if he had seen anything else. She acted like a real witch!
Frank thought he had privately discovered the secret of Miss Coulibaly's childish girl mentality, which made him very happy. The fastest way to promote feelings between men and women is to have a common secret to keep.
Of course he said he saw nothing, and reassured Miss Coulibaly that he would never tell anyone that she was playing role-playing games alone at home.
When he left that day, he could clearly feel that Miss Coulibaly's expression was conflicted as she held the small wooden stick, as if she was really hesitating whether to cast a spell on Frank.
Frank felt even more ridiculous after having this feeling.
Miss Coulibaly is such an interesting lady.
But I don’t know what happened these two days. Miss Coulibaly seemed to be sick. She has been hiding at home and not coming out. She even didn’t take care of the flowers outside the door. Frank was the only one who kept an eye on them and would stop by to water them from time to time.
However, yesterday, when he was standing hesitantly in front of the door and wanted to pay a visit, he vaguely saw through the window that the charming lady was drawing a .
When Frank saw the pattern, he didn't know why, he just felt his body go cold and his brain went blank. His body seemed to have a sense of self-protection. When he came to his senses, he had already walked away from Coulibaly's yard.
But after returning home, Frank's uneasiness did not disappear. He was restless at home all day. Finally, he decided to take the cookies his mother had just made to visit the lady.
He brought the gifts to the foot of the mountain at the edge of the town, where there was only a yard surrounded by a fence , which seemed so out of place with the other houses in the town.
Frank was looking outside the fence, but before he could say anything, the small door of the yard suddenly opened by itself, perhaps due to the wind or something.
Without hesitating for a few seconds, he walked into Miss Coulibaly's yard carrying the basket of cookies.
The lady with black-framed glasses and long brown hair was sitting in the middle of the garden drinking tea.
The morning sun shining on her made Frank's heart skip a beat.
"What is it, Mr. Frank?"
The beautiful and dignified lady held the teacup without looking up. Her eyes were always on a piece of parchment, which looked like a letter written to her by someone.
"Um, I'm here to apologize for what happened yesterday, Ms. Coulibaly." Frank swallowed, "I didn't mean to peek at you. I wanted to explain it at the time, but I don't know what happened to my brain, so I controlled my body and went home."
"Don't worry about it. It's not your fault. There was something wrong with my Muggle Repelling Charm."
"Muggle...repelling spell?"
Frank stammered and repeated the phrase he had never heard before.
"What did you bring me?" Coulibaly asked casually, but it didn't seem like she was deliberately changing the subject. She just became interested in what Frank was holding.
"Biscuits, biscuits, made by my mother. I always think that no one in Devon can make better ones than her."
Frank said as he walked into the garden and put the basket on the table.
Coulibaly seemed very interested, and Frank also took a look at the contents of the parchment at this time.
"...The master we really need is you, not that madman. Without you to take charge, Britain will not be able to resist Dumbledore's attack..."
This sentence only flashed through Frank's mind for a moment, and before he even had time to fully understand its meaning, he politely turned his eyes away from the parchment.
Isn't it strange? Who would call another person "master" nowadays?
Koulibaly seemed to be completely focused on the basket of cookies and didn't care what Frank was looking at.
At this moment, an owl suddenly flew over from the sky, and began to glide at a low altitude with a clear goal, passing towards the center of the garden. When it arrived above Coulibaly, it dropped something like a roll of newspaper, which finally landed accurately on the wooden table.
Frank stared at the scene in amazement, but Coulibaly unfolded the newspaper as if he was used to it.
On the big front page, there was a moving black-and-white photo of two men standing together. One of them had a straight, hooked nose, greasy long hair that fell to his shoulders like kelp, his eyes were empty, and his face was pale and gloomy.
The other one had short golden hair and looked much younger, but the expression on his face seemed very ugly. He stared at the camera with indifference and suspicion.
There seemed to be many children in robes standing around the two people in the background, and one could even vaguely see a little boy who looked only six or seven years old and an old man wearing strange crescent-shaped glasses standing right behind them.
Frank also saw the headline on the front page.
[One week after the Triwizard Tournament, the outcome of failure was not as bad as we thought]
"Why is this newspaper..."
"That idiot had the guts to choose Barty Crouch over Severus Snape in that situation. Does he know what he's doing?"
A sinister smile appeared on Coulibaly's face that Frank had never seen before.
The raised corners of his mouth reminded him of a poisonous snake, cold and deadly!
"Ms. Coulibaly...what does this mean?" Frank swallowed subconsciously, "What happened to that owl just now? And this newspaper, why is the photo moving..."
"Thanks for the cookies, Frank, and thanks for coming to me today so I don't have to bother with you."
Frank's words were interrupted again. The hand with bright red nail polish had grasped the small wooden stick that Miss Coulibaly always carried with her, and the tip of the stick was pointed at him!
The next moment, Frank only saw a green light, and then he fell into complete darkness.
“Plop.”
A young body fell to the ground, but "Miss Coulibaly" acted as if she had done something insignificant. The smile on her face remained unchanged, and she turned her attention back to the Prophet Daily.
All the while savoring the morning tea given to her by the being she had just killed.
Her eyes were fixed on the empty eyes of the greasy kelp-haired man in the front-page photo, as if the two people were really having a face-to-face confrontation in reality. "Miss Coulibaly" licked her scarlet lips.
"It's been so long. Now that you know how stupid that idiot is, you should come to me, right, Severus?"
…
France was completely liberated.
After the last isolated island in Paris, the French Ministry of Magic, was completely occupied by the Wizarding World, it meant that the whole of France fell into Dumbledore's hands.
Including the Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which had been holding out. Upon learning the result of the Triwizard Tournament, Karkaroff, the school's headmaster who had only been in office for over a year, simply abandoned everyone else in the school and fled back to the UK using the Floo pink line that connected the school to the UK.
All the other professors who supported Voldemort's rule in France, as well as the students who had been divided into bloodline classes during this year, were accepted by the Wizarding World.
This means that the three European magic schools are now under the control of the Wizarding World. At least in terms of education, Dumbledore and his team have achieved a complete victory.
After completely occupying France, Dumbledore became increasingly busy. Not only did he have to deal with the students brought back from Hogwarts Castle, but he also had to find a way to turn the Muggles whose minds had been brainwashed back into normal, dignified people.
As for the current rule and governance of the French magical community, Dumbledore had no intention of interfering and handed it over to Iniesta to organize and establish the new French Ministry of Magic.
Inestir had no intention of adding insult to injury. He honestly assured Dumbledore in front of all the senior officials of the newly formed Ministry of Magic that as long as the Death Eaters represented by Voldemort were not completely defeated, the current French Ministry of Magic would still belong to the Wizarding World formed by Dumbledore.
As long as there is a French wizard alive, they will never forget the sacrifices and efforts made by a group of British wizards like the Order of the Phoenix for the equality in France today.
This is of course something that everyone welcomes. Iniesta's clear statement not only suppressed some negative, lazy and discordant voices within the newly established French Ministry of Magic that had emerged after the complete liberation of France, but also dispelled some of the doubts and distrust of the French within the Order of the Phoenix.
Also, as Beauxbatons has been completely liberated, Gabrielle can finally return to her normal identity and no longer have to live as a ghost.
When John took her to find the body that belonged to Madame Maxime and was hidden in Beauxbatons, Gabrielle seemed reluctant to turn back into a human. She had become addicted to the life of a ghost.
But in the end, she let her soul return to her body. The days of being a ghost were very happy. But Gabrielle also knew that if her parents and sister saw that she could only be a ghost in the future, they would be heartbroken to death.
A body without a soul is actually still alive and breathing, but Madame Maxime was fully prepared when dealing with Gabrielle's body. She knew that once she escaped from Beauxbatons, no one would be able to maintain the energy consumed by Gabrielle's natural growth, so she soaked her body in a special potion to inhibit her growth.
This resulted in that even though Gabrielle had been living with John and the others in ghost form for two years, her physical age had only grown by a few months, making her look like she was only seven or eight years old, even though she should have been ten years old.
But even so, she looks older than Jon, who still looks six years old.
"Jon, please, Jon, can you please call me sister? You see, this is just right for our current age!"
Even after returning to Lyon, Gabrielle still clung to Jon. She seemed unable to wait to hear the pleasure of Jon calling her sister.
However, Jon never gave in, and no matter how Gabrielle begged him, he would not agree.
"Stop daydreaming." Jon, who looked non-threatening, rolled his eyes. "Instead of bothering me here, you should think about how to write to your parents. The situation in France has stabilized now, and you can reunite with them."
Jon's method of changing the subject was very clever, and sure enough, Gabrielle stopped pestering him.
"Then you can't suddenly grow up secretly. At most, you can grow to be the same age as me, and then we can go to magic school in the same grade again!"
Jon probably would never be able to guess what was going on in the little girl's mind. He just nodded repeatedly and agreed readily, but he was already muttering in his heart that in less than two months he would probably be able to turn back into his previous 15-year-old appearance.
Just as Jon was preparing to return to the dormitory at the temporary Hogwarts teaching point in Lyon, he suddenly met Lupin who was walking out of the office in a hurry and seemed to be heading towards the Floo powder fireplace room.
"What happened? Professor Lupin?" John saw his ugly face and couldn't help asking.
Lupin didn't hide anything from John.
"Today was supposed to be the day that a group of Death Eater prisoners were to be executed, but when they were taking the prisoners over, they discovered that Snape was missing!"
Jon was also stunned.
"Snape is missing?"
