Volume 5: The Age of Storms Chapter 0750 My Country
Nan Yi brought Fan Qingyun into the study and asked her to start reporting.
"Zhao Tianyang was born in 1962 in Shanghai. He graduated from the Economics Department of Hudan University in 1985 with excellent grades and was directly recommended for postgraduate study. The following year, he was involved in an illegal currency exchange incident and was expelled from the school. After that, he went to work at Jing'an Stock Exchange."
"Tell me more about the currency exchange incident."
"The matter is not complicated. Zhao Tianyang and a classmate who was going abroad went to Huangxi Middle Road to exchange foreign currency, but their money was cut. Afterwards, the two of them waited there for the person who cut their foreign currency. When they found him, they started fighting. In the end, they were arrested by the police, and then the school was notified to pick him up. After that, they were punished."
"Oh, go on." Nan Yi nodded and said.
Fighting is not a big deal, but currency exchange can be a big or small matter. If a graduate student studying economics is involved in an "illegal currency exchange" incident that damages the national economy, he can indeed be expelled if it is taken too seriously.
"Zhao Tianyang's father, Zhao Guoping, is a staff member of the current Pudong Development Office and the former general development research team. His mother, Lin Ruzhen, is an ordinary doctor in the hospital. During the investigation, I also found out that Zhao Tianyang's ex-girlfriend is called Du Qingqing. I learned from others that she is now with a big shot on Wall Street in the United States. She seems to be related to Phil Lin [Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange] and should be his staff member."
"Oh, wait."
Nan Yi picked up the phone and called Scarlett. After asking a few questions, he got the name.
"Feilin's former secretary Du Weide, they are engaged. Is there any other information worth noting?" Nan Yi said as soon as he hung up the phone.
"No, Zhao Tianyang's resume is relatively simple, and there is no special information about him before college that needs special attention."
Nan Yi asked again: "How is the relationship between Zhao Tianyang and Du Qingqing?"
"Very good, if Du Qingqing doesn't go abroad, the two of them should get married."
"Well, it's okay, you can go out first."
After sending Fan Qingyun out, Nan Yi sat in the study for a while, and only went downstairs when Liu Zhen came to call him for dinner.
…
The next day, afternoon.
It happened to be the Chinese Valentine's Day, a good day for migration.
Nan Yi and Nan Wuwei boarded the Hongdou and entered Shencun Bay. The yacht was parked far away on the sea. Nan Yi and Nan Wuwei used binoculars to observe the Wenchangwei New Village 2 and New Village 3, which had just moved to their new homes at an auspicious time this morning.
The new second village was built according to the layout of high-end single apartments. From the beginning, Nan Yi targeted its tenants as migrant workers from Xiangkeng and Taicun in Shenzhen. The new third village was built according to the layout of the Xiangkeng resettlement building, with dozens of households on one floor. The target tenants are people from the mainland who come with their families.
According to Nan Yi's original plan, the houses were distributed per capita, but the rental was organized by a housing management company established in the village. After deducting expenses, the remaining money was distributed per capita.
However, Ge Cuizhu had called Nan Yi before and said that there was a lot of unhappiness in the village because of the housing distribution issue. At first, the village committee formulated an allocation plan, but the villagers did not agree with it; then they came up with a revised plan, which was also not recognized; when it was revised for the third time, the villagers demanded that everyone in the village hold a collective discussion. The village committee compromised, and it took a month of arguing to reach a result.
Looking at the beautiful new house, Nan Yi sighed in his heart.
In fact, he had decided on the distribution plan early on. The houses were divided into three grades: "good, flat, and bad". The best would be the worst and the flat that was not divided into grades, and so on. He tried his best to make sure that the difference in the houses allocated to each person was not too big. Then he would draw lots based on luck. If he didn't draw a good one, he could blame his bad luck.
As long as the housing distribution process is fair, just, open and without any selfish motives, this problem can be easily resolved. Unfortunately, once the contracting issue became a problem, the villagers became demoralized and their selfish desires became insatiable.
"Wuwei, where do you think is your home?" Putting down the telescope, Nan Yi turned to Nan Wuwei and said.
“An old house in Beijing.”
"Oh, for Dad, this is his home. This is what he strives for. Dad hopes everyone here is a billionaire."
"Dad, why here?"
"Old house, do you remember the name of the poem that Dad hung on the wall of your living room?"
"Su Shi's "Ding Feng Bo: Returning from the South Sea and Presenting it to Wang Dingguo's Maid Yu Niang"."
"Yes, recite the last sentence."
Nan Wuwei thought about it for a while and then chanted: "I asked if Lingnan was bad, but I said: Wherever my heart is at peace is my hometown."
"Yes, that's the sentence. Wherever my heart is at peace is my hometown. Dad's heart is like a swift. It flies all its life, never stops, and has nowhere to rest. This world is good, but it is not my world. Only here can I find a moment of peace of mind."
Nan Yi raised his hand and pointed in the direction of Wenchangwei.
"don't know."
Nan Wuwei shook his head.
"Haha, there's no need to understand this question. You'll be happier if you don't understand it." Nan Yi smiled at Nan Wuwei, then shouted, "Let's go to Fanling."
We got off the boat in Fanling, passed the checkpoint, and boarded the Renault Espace driven by Chen Yuxiu, the world's first true MPV.
As soon as they got in the car, Chen Yuxiu gave up the driving seat and moved to the seat next to Nan Yi.
"This car is too heavy. I'm not used to driving it. It must weigh eight tons, right?"
"Less than one."
"You're the only one who's willing to do that. I drove here from the factory and the fuel gauge dropped several bars." Chen Yuxiu said, hefting his butt up and down. "It doesn't drive very well, but it's quite comfortable to sit in. No wonder you arranged a car here."
"I arranged a car not for enjoyment, but for convenience. Have you rented out your Whale Mountain Villa?"
"Not yet, do you want to live?"
"No, just asking casually." Nan Yi waved his hand.
"I spent 150,000 yuan on renovations, so I can't just rent it out. I have to find a reliable tenant. If I can't find a suitable one, I'd rather leave it empty. The one in Oriental Garden has been rented out, but to an overseas Chinese from Lijiapo."
"Oh, how much is Oriental Garden per square foot now?"
"I really don't know what the current price is. I stopped caring about it after I bought the house." Chen Yuxiu said, picking up the newspaper on the armrest box and flipping through it. He pointed to a place on the newspaper and said, "Here is the phone number, 770248. Can you give them a call and ask?"
Nan Yi glanced at the newspaper, and two lines of light yellow text in the middle of the red background with an exploding star came into view, "Mortgage up to 70%, special ten-year installment payment."
"Let's put it aside for now and talk about it later."
"Hmm." Chen Yuxiu put the newspaper away and put it back in the armrest box, muttering, "This housing price is a bit confusing. The third phase of Haifu Garden, Fuchun Pavilion, will be launched soon. I asked around and found out that the price is 410 yuan per square foot, which means 4510 yuan per square meter. Dongcui Garden, which is not far away, is 1800 yuan per square meter, a difference of 2700 yuan. I went to see the house, but I can't see where the 2700 yuan difference comes from."
"The difference lies in the area, one is priced per square foot, the other is priced per square meter. You people from Hong Kong are rich, so you should sell it at a higher price to match your status." Nan Yi smiled and said, "Can I join Dongcui Garden?"
"How can it be so fast? I heard that we can only move in next October."
"Oh, how about Nanchen Architecture?"
"Uncle Ruiwu has sent people here. They reserve a few good units in advance before each property opens. They are very familiar with the people and can get a 10% to 85% discount on the price."
"That's good. It can save some costs."
After sending Chen Yuxiu back to the factory, the school beauty drove to Dongzhu. Around five o'clock in the afternoon, the car arrived at the gate of the Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory.
After years of development, the Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory has become a large factory with 70,000 workers. One factory is related to the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people. The Swallowtail Butterfly factory area has also expanded into a large factory area, which is called "Swallowtail Butterfly Town" by local people and workers.
While waiting for someone from the factory to pick him up, Nan Yi looked around the factory gate. There was an open space on the right side where hundreds of motorcycles with people on them were parked. Most of the people were dressed simply and looked like motorcycle taxi drivers, but there were also a few who looked scoundrelly and did not look like serious people.
After looking at the right side, Nan Yi looked to the left again. From the factory gate all the way out, there were people standing or squatting there. The number was sparse but not small. Some were carrying packages, and some were empty-handed. They were all looking forward to the factory gate.
"Campus Belle, call Wang Fengtai and ask him to wait for a while when he comes out. We'll go check at the other entrances."
The Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory covers an area of 230,000 square meters and is in the shape of an irregular pentagon. The longest side is adjacent to the river, and there are two gates on each of the other four sides, one for personnel to enter and exit, and the other for trucks to pass through. Unless it is a holiday, only the east gate, which is where Nan Yi and his companions are now, will be opened.
He walked around, stopped at each door to observe, and then returned to the East Gate.
The East Gate was already open, and Wang Fengtai was standing in the middle of the gate waiting. As soon as he saw the car, Wang Fengtai came forward and the tiger cub opened the door for him to get in.
"Big Boss."
Wang Fengtai, a native of Taicun, is 43 years old this year and is the chairman of the board of directors of the Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory. Before coming to Swallowtail Butterfly, he had many years of experience as a garment factory manager and had also worked as a factory manager of a large factory in Taicun that focused on shoe OEM.
According to the naming habits in Taiwanese workplaces, subordinates will call their direct superiors by their job title or boss, and those several levels higher will be called the big boss.
Nan Yi actually likes people calling him Boss. In his previous life, before he became rich, he liked to go to the night market and immerse himself in the wonderful sounds of "Boss, take a look", "Boss, buy a pair", "Boss, what do you want to eat", "Boss, come in", and "Boss, come and give me a back pat".
But he was still quite stupid at that time, and he just wandered around the night market without buying anything. As time went by, the stall owners all remembered him as a poor and ignorant guy, and the title of boss disappeared from his ears. Whenever he felt itchy and wanted to eat, he would follow strangers and listen to other people's "boss".
"Fengtai, are those motorcycles at the door decent?"
"It's hard to say. Some are doing business, some are robbers, and some can switch identities at any time. Our factory is fine. I have communicated with the police... the people at the Public Security Bureau, and also said hello to the joint defense team. They will still take special care of the workers in the factory."
"Don't call me sir, comrade police officer or a certain police officer. It's okay that you have an accent. It's actually an advantage. Don't call me by the wrong nouns."
"Okay, okay."
"I'm hungry, let's go to the cafeteria first."
"Boss, which cafeteria do you want to go to?" Wang Fengtai asked.
“Which cafeteria has the most complaints?”
"The seventh cafeteria."
"Then go there. Take me there and you can go home. We can talk about anything during working hours tomorrow. Also, at 6:20, ask Secretary Zheng Manli to wait for me at the entrance of the cafeteria."
"OK."
When they arrived at the entrance of the seventh canteen, Wang Fengtai gave Nan Yi four guest passes, which were identity certificates specially prepared for customers who came to inspect. With the pass hanging on his chest, he could move freely in the factory area except the dormitory area, and he could also dine in any canteen in the factory with the guest pass.
After getting off the car and helping Nan Wuwei put on his guest badge, Nan Yi and his companions walked into the seventh cafeteria.
It was the time for the workers to have meals. In the canteen, which was 120 meters long and 35 meters wide, covering a total of more than 4,000 square meters and a dining area of 3,400 square meters, there were 64 lines in total. There were no isolation windows and the meals were placed on the long tables.
Each canteen is equipped with a cooking team. The number of people is not fixed and is allocated based on one person being responsible for the meals of 600 people. The cooking team of the seventh canteen has 7 regular staff members [cooks], and the other kitchen helpers will be found in nearby villages.
The cooking team and kitchen helpers do not work in a fixed canteen. Instead, they adopt a rotation system, randomly matching and deploying them, and working in the canteens within the factory area.
Although the rotation system has many disadvantages in implementation, it has one outstanding advantage: it allows workers to change their tastes regularly so that they don't feel like vomiting after eating in the cafeteria.
In order to facilitate cooking and control costs, it is impossible to change fresh dishes every day. There are always several dishes that are often eaten in season, such as winter melon and beans. Nan Yi has seen several workers frowning when they saw these two dishes in the vegetable bowl.
"Wuwei, did you see those people frowning?"
“Yes.”
"Those frowning are old employees who are a little tired of the food here. Those in the line who can't wait to look forward are new employees who are still interested in the food here."
Nan Wuwei stood on tiptoe to look at the vegetable bowl in the worker's hand, "Oh, Dad, I can't see the vegetables in the bowl, what's there to eat?"
"Baisha oil duck, stir-fried pork with chili peppers, braised winter melon, stir-fried beans, and a piece of watermelon."
One meat dish, half a meat dish, two vegetable dishes and two clear soups, seaweed and shrimp soup, tomato and egg soup, four dishes and two soups with fruit. This is the standard configuration of the canteen of the Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory. The rules are fixed, the soups hardly change, and the dishes and fruits change all year round, but they always switch between Cantonese cuisine and Funan cuisine.
There is no way, almost 60% of the workers in the factory are from Funan.
In the beginning, when the factory was small, we could recruit some workers from here and there to avoid the formation of small groups of fellow villagers in the factory. But as the scale expanded, recruiting people became more difficult. We could only cooperate with the labor bureaus in inland counties and ask them to organize the sending of workers here for mutual benefit.
This model is also the main model for recruiting workers in Guangdong Province, especially in Shenzhen and Cunninghamia. It is relatively difficult to enter the special economic zone in an individual's capacity. It is difficult to enter and even more difficult to gain a foothold.
"there is none left?"
"There is also a single-serve snake soup."
One yuan is deducted from the workers' food allowance every day. The amount of dishes is fixed, and they can eat as much staple food as they want. This is a welfare meal, and because it is people-oriented, both meat and vegetables are purchased as high-quality products rather than leftovers. Therefore, the factory also gives each worker a subsidy of 15-25 yuan every month.
In addition to welfare meals, the canteen will provide individual dishes from time to time, which are limited in quantity and expensive.
"I want to eat."
"It depends on luck. There may not be any left when it's our turn."
The guest pass does not give you the privilege of cutting in line in the cafeteria. If you want to make an incognito visit or conduct a secret investigation, you must abide by the rules. Otherwise, you can go to the guest reception building in the factory area, where all the staff will revolve around the guests and you can enjoy full privileges.
After waiting for six or seven minutes, it was finally Nan Yi and his friends' turn to get their food. They came forward with a tray-like rice bowl, handed the bowl forward and said, "four taels." The waiter quickly served the food and scooped two cubes of rice into the bowl. While handing the bowl back to Nan Yi, he glanced at the number on the guest card on his chest.
The snake soup was gone, so Nan Yi took the tray, stood aside holding it, and waited for Nan Wuwei to finish his meal. Then he took him to an empty seat in the corner and sat down.
After watching Nan Wuwei taste the food, Nan Yi asked him if it tasted good.
"Dad, it's not as good as you, but it's better than mom's. Mom's cooking is always terrible, and she doesn't allow others to say anything."
"Your mother knows that her cooking is awful, and she also knows that we know that her cooking is awful, but she still says that her cooking is delicious. She will punish anyone who dares to say that her cooking is awful. The law and morality require us to tell the truth, but the dictator Liu Zhen will not allow us to say bad things about her. In order to avoid retaliation, you should just endure it."
"But why?"
"Your mother has created an image of a good mother for herself, and she has built it up high. A good mother must be a good cook, but it's a pity that she doesn't have it. Your mother didn't have any cooking skills to begin with, but as long as she was praised enough, she would naturally become a good cook."
"The adult world is so complicated, Dad, what are we going to do after dinner?"
Nan Yi took a bite of winter melon and said, "Go to the room and change your clothes first, then I'll take you ice skating."
"Okay."
Nan Yi ate very quickly. When Nan Wuwei had just eaten half of it, he had already finished.
He took out a handkerchief and wiped his mouth, then wiped his hands. Then he stood up and walked to the wall where the suggestion book was hung. He took down the suggestion book, flipped through it, hung it back on the hook on the wall, looked up at the closed-circuit television, and walked back to his seat.
After Nan Wuwei finished eating, Nan Yi took him out of the cafeteria and immediately saw secretary Zheng Manli, who was wearing a women's business suit that was fashionable yet still had a hint of country air.
When Zheng Manli saw Nan Yi and his group, a flash of surprise flashed across her eyes and she greeted them with a smile.
"Big Boss."
"First, take us to the guest house to settle down, and then go to the staff entertainment center."
Huibin Building integrates catering and accommodation, and provides services for the order follow-up and quality inspection sent by customers and partners for inspection. There are two rooms reserved on the top floor for internal use by Nanshi Nan Yi, Zheng Wenqi, financial auditors, legal affairs and other internal personnel.
It was nearly three kilometers from the Seventh Canteen to the Huibin Building, so Nan Yi and his companions naturally took a car.
Speaking of the factory layout of the Swallowtail Butterfly Garment Factory, entering from the east gate, you can see two six-story buildings, the administrative building and the guest building. The administrative building is a solitary building, while the guest building has a main building and two four-story podium buildings.
Along the left side of the East Gate, Factories 1, 3, 5... 19 are arranged in an outer circle with canteens in between; on the right side, Factories 2, 4, 6... 18 are also arranged in order along the periphery with canteens in between.
The 19 factories did not completely surround the factory area. A lot of land was reserved in the factory area, and 37 factories of the same area could be planned.
The dormitory area is planned to be located near the west gate, with a total of 26 dormitory buildings, including two small buildings for senior staff, three buildings for couples, two buildings for male staff that are not yet fully occupied, and 19 buildings for female staff. The female staff buildings are designed to accommodate 3,500 people at full capacity. There are eight staircases, seven of which are used for people to go up and down normally, and one fire escape.
Three medical stations are also planned in the dormitory area, where employees can go for treatment for any minor ailments.
Near the second west gate, there is a lonely three-story building surrounded by a wall. The yard is not small, and three red-painted Aurora PM65 fire trucks are parked inside. This is the fire department established by Yanweidie itself. The members are retired firefighters. It is a military-civilian joint construction unit. If there is a fire in the surrounding area, they are also obliged to dispatch.
Walking east from the West Second Gate, there are two large lakes next to each other. One is six acres in size, with nothing on the surface. This is the factory's swimming lake, with a flat bottom and a water depth of 1.2 meters. It is only open from June to September every year.
Another lake is nearly 15 acres in size, where lotus roots are planted and freshwater fish are raised. This lake is called Kenzhu Lake. As the name suggests, it belongs to the Kenzhu Group. To be more precise, it is a fish pond contracted by the Kenzhu Group from Swallowtail Butterfly.
The business of Kenzhi Group supplying vegetables to Xiangkeng was separated out to form the Sunflower Food Company. The business scope of Sunflower is to supply food to food wholesalers and commercial kitchens.
At present, the main expansion direction in the mainland is the canteens of various units, private enterprises and schools. Swallowtail Butterfly is its second customer, and the first customer is Wenchangwei Elderly Canteen.
The business development of Sunflower has not been smooth. The conscience cost among the costs remains high, and there is no ability to leave enough profit margin for the canteen stakeholders. Currently, there is an internal debate on whether to feed conscience to dogs and develop a series of low-cost ingredients that dogs will not eat.
1.5 kilometers further east from the two lakes is a whole piece of undeveloped open space.
After passing the desolate open space, you will enter the Swallowtail Butterfly Park. In addition to the standard park facilities such as flowers, trees, benches, and basic leisure facilities, there is also an open-air Paradise Cinema, which is managed by the Swallowtail Butterfly Workers Committee. From time to time, the workers committee will propose several movies for each workshop group to choose from, and the movies will be scheduled for screening according to the workers' choices, and a schedule can span more than half a year.
Going east along the center line of Swallowtail Park, you will enter the Swallowtail Employee Center. The first thing you see is a five-story building. This is the location of the Swallowtail Employee Hospital. Patients that cannot be treated at the branch factory or dormitory medical station will be sent here.
On the left side of the hospital is also a five-story Longmen Building, which covers a larger area than the hospital. The building houses two departments: the Swallowtail Butterfly Textile Technology Night School and the Swallowtail Butterfly Library. Both the night school tuition and the library reading and borrowing books are charged, and the charges are very high.
These two departments are not formalistic. You can really learn something in the night school. The library has many self-translated Western textile-related books and materials, including introductory materials on all the major textile companies in the world.
There is also an Entrepreneurship Building next to the Longmen Building, which houses an Entrepreneurship Counseling Center, which provides all entrepreneurship-related counseling to employees with ideas. There is a slogan posted on the wall of the counseling center: Start a business bravely and defeat the swallowtail butterfly.
There is also a "back-to-back" office in the building. It is not an internal department of Swallowtail Butterfly, but a point stationed here by the 1984 Common Prosperity Association. Needless to say, this is a place to provide financing for entrepreneurial warriors.
If the employees feel that they are capable and can go out and start their own business, they can come to this office to have a chat. If the chat goes well, they can take the funds and start their own glory. If the chat does not go well, they can go back to night school to continue their studies.
Of course, all of this is not a mandatory process. Swallowtail Butterfly has no right to restrict the personal freedom of employees. They can quit their jobs and start their own businesses even if they don't go to night school. It doesn't matter even if they open a factory with overlapping business right under Swallowtail Butterfly's nose. This is the freedom of employees.
It's just that I'm sorry to become a competitor with Swallowtail Butterfly in a close-range bayonet fight. We are both envious, so there is no room for mercy. Naturally, all kinds of means will be used in turn, and I will not stop until I force my opponent to death.
Next door to the back-to-back store is a real estate consulting office that is rarely visited. Anyone who wants to buy property in Dongcun or Shencun can come here for consultation. This office colludes with real estate companies in the two places and deceives employees into spending high prices and taking on heavy debts to buy houses. It is extremely shameless and vulgar.
Around the three buildings, there is also a staff entertainment center, which includes an ice rink, dance hall, karaoke room, video room, electronic game room, billiard room, cold drink bar, etc. Almost all entertainment venues suitable for employee consumption are included there.
Next to the staff entertainment center is the Swallowtail Asia Shopping Mall. From the name, you can tell that this place is closely related to the Yaqing Company. In fact, the Yaqing Company copied a small Asia Shopping Mall here, deleted the outdated electrical appliances and communication counters, and made fine adjustments to the products to better meet the needs of employees.
Although there is no electrical appliance counter, Asia Qing Company has not given up on selling electrical appliances to Swallowtail Butterfly employees. As mentioned earlier, 60% of Swallowtail Butterfly employees are from Funan and their home addresses are relatively concentrated. There is an electrical appliance ordering window in the Asia Mall. Employees who want to buy electrical appliances for their families only need to register and pay, and then wait for the appliances to be delivered to her county. If it is in the suburbs, the appliances can even be delivered to her door.
Not to mention , just in terms of electrical appliances, Yaqing Company can easily generate tens of millions of sales in Yanweidie every year.
Next to the Asia Mall, there is a comprehensive employee service center, which houses the Swallowtail Branch of the Universal Bank, the Swallowtail Branch of the Post Office, the Swallowtail Police Station and other state-owned institutions.
Next to the Staff Comprehensive Service Center is the Staff Entertainment Plaza, which is somewhat similar to the Cafe de Coral stage. If employees want to perform on stage, they only need to register in advance and wait for a schedule. Even if they want to make a declaration of love on stage, this is also possible.
Every year, many employees hold wedding banquets in the square. The newlyweds are not allowed to send invitations inside the factory. Employees who want to attend the wedding banquet can register on their own. The registration fee is two yuan, and anyone can register whether they know the newlyweds or not.
After the registration deadline, the staff committee will count the registration fees, give 20 cents from each registration fee to the newcomers, and use the remaining 1.8 yuan to purchase food.
For employees, this is an opportunity to improve their meals. Two yuan cannot buy as many dishes as at a banquet, nor can it taste as good as at a banquet.
With improved meals for the employees and the factory's middle and senior managers backing the table, each wedding banquet can have hundreds of tables, and the newlyweds can get hundreds of dollars in "profit" from the wedding banquet. However, in order to prevent this beauty from going sour, the factory will limit the number of wedding banquets. If there are many newlyweds who want to hold a wedding banquet, a lottery will be held.
In principle, no more than 20 wedding banquets will be held in a year, and all of them will be held on the night before the holiday.
Swallowtail Butterfly has implemented a two-day weekend since the beginning of this year, but ordinary employees are paid a minimum wage plus piece-rate wages, and the piece-rate wages are tiered, with several levels. The more you do, the higher the unit price.
Therefore, few employees will take eight days off every month. Generally, they will choose to rest only during the three mandatory days off each month.
That’s right, such a disgusting, bitchy and arrogant combination must have been the work of Nan Yi.
In Nan Yi's words, it means giving employees full freedom, and it is up to everyone whether they want to earn more or live a more leisurely life.
As for whether it is a bitch or not, the Swallowtail Butterfly sweatshop has another rule - front-line employees whose cumulative salary for three months is less than 350 yuan will be fired without special reasons.
For an employee who is qualified for the position of a swallowtail butterfly and works diligently, the monthly salary cannot be lower than 350 yuan. If it is lower, there are only two possibilities: he is not qualified for the position and he is slacking off. If he can't do it, he should get out and be replaced by someone who can do it.
Last year, in 1988, the highest income of Swallowtail Butterfly front-line workers was 10,425.7. She worked very hard, almost all the time allowed by the factory. However, her diligence was not praised by the factory. Instead, at the end of the year, 425.7 was deducted from her salary to improve the food for her workshop group.
To put it bluntly, working at Swallowtail Butterfly means serving the capitalists. There is no need to display the spirit of a model worker, just take it easy. Nan Yi, a capitalist, does not want anyone to get too much salary from him.
He needs his employees to live well and use their limited time to invest in the great consumer business of returning the money taken from Nan's group to Nan's group.
Nan’s money is earned and Nan’s money is spent, so there is no need to work hard to bring it home.
…
After washing up in the room, Nan Yi helped Nan Wuwei change into a long-sleeved T-shirt and jeans, and put on a protective cap and elbow and knee pads. He went downstairs to meet Zheng Manli who was waiting, and they walked to the staff entertainment center together.
"How long has Secretary Zheng been working at Swallowtail Butterfly?" Nan Yi asked knowingly on the way.
Nan Yi knew the information about the Nan family's high-level executives better than he knew his own woman's birthday preferences. He always knew what was important and what was not, not to mention that Zheng Manli was an outlier.
Zheng Manli replied: "Five years and a half and ninety-two days."
"In less than six years, Secretary Zheng has risen from the grassroots to the top. His ability is obvious to all." Nan Yi nodded and asked, "How long has Secretary Zheng been working for Zheng Manli?"
Zheng Manli's expression changed slightly and she said, "It's been almost two years."
"Very good. The name Zhaodi carries a bit of contempt and insult to women. The name Manli is very good. How does the song go? Oh, by the way, how can we forget our past and our friendship?"
Nan Yi hummed a passage and then said with a smile, "I don't sing well. Secretary Zheng, please forgive me for making fun of you."
"The big boss sang very well."
"Oh, thank you for the compliment." Nan Yi stopped, turned around, and patted Zheng Manli on the shoulder. "Secretary Zheng, since you can sit in your current position, I naturally recognize your ability. As for how you came into my sight, I don't want to go into it.
You just need to understand one thing. If you want to move forward, you can only rely on your own strength, not on the words on your forehead. Whether it's "Nan" or "Wang", it won't add points to you, it will only deduct points. Do you understand what I mean?"
Zheng Manli's expression changed again, her pupils dilated and then shrank, "Boss, I understand."
"It's good that you understand. You can learn Vietnamese when you have time."
After Nan Yi finished speaking, he continued walking forward without explaining to Zheng Manli why he wanted her to learn Vietnamese.
The most crucial step for Zheng Manli to be promoted from an ordinary front-line employee to the position of secretary to the chairman was that she climbed into Wang Fengtai's bed. Otherwise, she would have no chance to enter Nan Yi's field of vision, nor would she have the opportunity to enjoy the comprehensive survey package.
However, if she wants to move up again, her relationship with Wang Fengtai will not be a help, but a hindrance. Nan Yi can tolerate vertical cliques among senior executives, as a senior executive cannot carry out his work effectively without a few confidants. However, horizontal alliances are absolutely not allowed as this will shake the foundation of the Nan family.
