Volume 5: The Age of Storms Chapter 0744 Bloody Justice

"Adam, Gaddafi's cause of Arab unity has failed."
After Nan Yi brought Gong Xue back to Peacock Villa, Scarlett called Nan Yi soon.
"I've heard about this a long time ago. They are now setting their sights on establishing a unified African United States. So what?"
"Gaddafi thinks he is the king of Africa and is exporting revolution everywhere. Unfortunately, the RUF was chosen by him. Gaddafi will provide Sankoh with weapons and funds to strengthen the RUF's armed forces."
"Where did you get the information? CIA?"
"Yes, the channel we established is effective. We can buy some less important intelligence from the CIA in the future."
"Hmm, very good. Tell me about my sister-in-law's choice first."
"No one will be left alive."
"You have a strong desire for revenge. I guess I have to call Devin. The self-destructive interest group needs to be moved to another place." Nan Yi said after thinking for a while.
"Adam, who do you think is behind Mata?"
"You don't need to ask me this question. There is no doubt that it is a force that is in conflict with Scarlett Mining. Our transaction with Sankoh is quite pleasant. Even if he has the support of Gaddafi, he has no need to turn against us. Sankoh is a smart man and will not put all his eggs in one basket."
"Yeah, just as I thought. In twenty hours, I will arrive in Falana and fly to Cape Town after a short stop there."
"Well, be safe."
After talking to Scarlett, Nan Yi called Deepak Tiwidi again and invited him to stay at Peacock Villa for a few days. Deepak gladly accepted and agreed to arrive in two days.
It just so happened that there were two days of free time, so Nan Yi took Gong Xue on a good tour of Mumbai, and Plan also had time to make final preparations.
After taking Gong Xue to visit several tourist attractions in Mumbai that they were already tired of visiting, Nan Yi and his friend met up with Priyanka and headed towards the northern suburbs.
Nan Yi heard from Priyanka yesterday that there would be a kabaddi fighting competition, also known as a slapping competition, in the northern suburbs. How could he not come and see such an exciting competition?
The car arrived at the northern suburbs and stopped on a sandy ground surrounded by a crowd of people. Priyanka looked at the crowd and took Nan Yi and the others to the south.
“The south side is the VIP area, where you can sit and watch the game.”
As Priyanka explained, Nan Yi looked around and found that new spectators were arriving in every direction at any time, but no one came up to ask questions or charge.
“Priyanka, there’s no entrance fee here?”
"No."
As they were talking, the three of them had already arrived at the VIP area in the south. Without seeing Priyanka negotiate with any staff, she directly took Nan Yi and the other two to sit down in three empty seats.
As soon as she sat down, Priyanka pointed at the two contestants in the middle of the competition venue and said, "There is no prize money or appearance fee for the contestants. If you want to make money, you have to rely on yourself."
Nan Yi glanced at the center of the competition venue and found that it was at least thirty meters away from his position. Suddenly, he had a bad feeling.
"How can I rely on myself and ask for a reward?"
"No need to ask. There are two players, yellow and blue, on the field. When the game starts, which one do you think is better? Wait for him to win and then go over to give him some tips."
Well, when Nan Yi heard about the reward, he immediately understood that this was not some bullshit fighting match at all, it was clearly an exhibition match like WWE.
Disappointed, extremely disappointed. He had thought that fighting must have some confrontational aspects. He wanted to see two contestants slapping each other to death, making their faces red, broken, and bleeding, and preferably, a few teeth in their mouths would be knocked out.
"Can I not give it to you?"
Nan Yi, who felt cheated, had no mood to give any reward.
"You better give it. There are three matches today, and the last one will most likely be a duel match."
Nan Yi immediately became interested when he heard this, "Do the contestants have personal grudges with each other, or is someone using them to resolve the dispute?"
Priyanka pointed to the east and said, “See those two white chairs?”
“Yes.”
"Those two chairs are like white gloves in the West. One party will sit on them first, and then invite the other party in dispute to sit on them as well. Once they sit on them, it means they accept the invitation to duel."
"Can I not accept it?" Nan Yi asked.
"This is just a formality. Since the chairs have been brought out, it means both parties have agreed to duel, so there will definitely be a duel today."
“Interesting.”
"Nan Yi, what are you talking about?"
Gong Xue’s English was not very good and she couldn’t understand what Nan Yi and the others were saying.
Nan Yi turned to Gong Xue and said, "There will be a duel later, and it will be quite intense."
"A duel like in The Count of Monte Cristo?"
"That's about right. But I don't think anyone will die. Just knock the opponent down."
Nan Yi thought that if it was a matter of life and death, it would be unlikely to take place in public.
"Oh, I wonder how they compete in India. Is it the same as ours?" Gong Xue asked.
"Not quite the same. This is Kabaddi fighting. There are only two ways to attack. One is to slap the opponent, and the other is to hook the neck and throw the opponent to the ground. Other means cannot be used."
"Oh, I thought it would be the same as a Sanda match. It is said that Shaolin Kung Fu evolved from the ancient Indian martial arts brought by Bodhidharma. I really want to see some ancient Indian martial arts."
"That's just Shaolin trying to flatter itself. Bodhidharma came across the river on a reed and founded Shaolin and all its unique skills. Is that what you want to say?"
"Yes, isn't there such a legend ?"
"Bullshit!" Nan Yi spat, "The relationship between Bodhidharma and Shaolin Temple is a mystery. In some very early Buddhist materials, there is no mention of Shaolin Temple in Songshan. For example, Emperor Wu of Liang's "Inscription on the Monument to Master Bodhidharma" says 'No one knows where he lives'. Emperor Wu of Liang didn't know where Shaolin Temple was at all.
It was not until the early Tang Dynasty's "Continued Biographies of Eminent Monks" that it was written for the first time that Bodhidharma "traveled to Luoyang and Songshan". This was the first time Bodhidharma went to Songshan. It was not until the "Old Book of Tang" which was written later that it was said that he "hid himself in Shaolin Temple in Songshan". The relationship between Bodhidharma and Shaolin Temple in Songshan was officially established.
Starting from the Song Dynasty, with the emergence of legends such as Bodhidharma facing the wall, Bodhidharma gradually became the founder of the Shaolin Temple in Songshan. In the late Qing Dynasty, a book called "Shaolin Lineage" was published, which mentioned that Bodhidharma passed the Eighteen Arhats to the monks of Shaolin Temple. From then on, the saying that Bodhidharma was the founder of Shaolin martial arts gradually spread.
There is also an adapted story about Shaolin, which says that Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, was besieged by Wang Shichong's nephew Wang Renze. After Shaolin Temple learned of the news, it immediately held a meeting.
Take Wang Shichong for example. He has such a bad character that he has no chance of conquering the world. But the Li family is full of treacherous people. They have a much better chance of conquering the world. This is a great opportunity to help them in times of need. What are you waiting for? Gather your troops and fight against Wang Shichong.
Therefore, Shaolin Temple sent thirteen stick-kick masters, leading the monks of Shaolin Temple, to capture Wang Renze alive and rescue Li Shimin.
Li Shimin also praised them by name, saying that all the people in Shaolin Temple were good comrades. He gave each of them a five-pointed star and called on Li's troops to learn from them.
Shaolin Temple has always been proud of this and has even carved a stele to commemorate it.
This story sounds weird, doesn’t it?
Gong Xue patted Nan Yi's arm and said angrily, "If you want to say something, just say it nicely."
"Haha." Nan Yi smiled and continued, "In fact, if you examine the records of this allusion, you will find that it is not the case at all. I guess the real process may be like this:
Wang Renze occupied the land of Shaolin Temple, so the monks of Shaolin Temple organized themselves and joined forces with Wang Renze's spies to capture Wang Renze alive and then handed him over to his rival Li Shimin. Their purpose was simple: to protect their own land.
I am not making this up, it has a basis in fact.
It is said that when the Eight-Nation Alliance entered Beijing that year, the abbot of Shaolin Temple took a look and thought, damn, martial arts are useless, only foreign guns are more effective, so he slammed the table and pointed at the head of the Treasury Hall and said, "Go to the treasury and get some money, and find a way to buy foreign guns."
"Hehe, don't talk nonsense. There is no treasury in Shaolin Temple." Gong Xue said with a laugh.
"Don't mind the name, that's what I mean." Nan Yi waved his hand and said, "Anyway, you just need to know that Shaolin Temple has been rich since its establishment. They have so much temple land that a thousand-mile horse can't run from one end to the other in a day.
I went on to say that the head of the treasury hall went to the warehouse, and as soon as he opened the lock of the warehouse, he put on a pair of sunglasses. Guess what, when he pushed open the door of the warehouse, a golden light immediately shot out, and there were eighteen piles of gold and one hundred and eight piles of silver in the warehouse. Adding together, there were at least a hundred tons of gold and a thousand tons of silver.
Looking again, there were a few naked, fair and tender young girls lying on the Golden Mountain.
The head of the Treasury Hall walked to the edge of the gold mountain with a cold face, took off the Buddhist beads from his neck, and severely whipped the girls, cursing: "You are all fucking cheap bones. If your family doesn't pay the rent, I will send people to burn your house down and sell you to the brothel at the foot of the mountain."
The head of the treasury hall vented his anger before walking to the corner of the warehouse and pulling out a HSBC passbook from a pile of passbooks more than one meter high. He dusted off the dust on it, then opened the passbook and took a look. The latest line of the balance on it read 50,000.51, a full 50,000 pounds.
50,000 pounds! This amount of money was a huge sum in that era. It could buy the house in Wukang Road three or five times.
The head of the Treasury Hall handed the passbook to the head of the Purchasing Hall, who then went down the mountain with the passbook and bought 200 Mauser M98 rifles, which were very advanced at the time. With these guns, the Monk Hall formed a modern infantry special operations regiment, code-named Eight-Faced Buddha, and had a slogan - Whoever doesn't pay the rent will be destroyed!
With guns and cannons and strong men and horses, Shaolin Temple enjoyed a prosperous and wealthy life for more than thirty years.
Until that year, the Japanese occupied the county town at the foot of Mount Song. At that time, the head of a nearby Eighth Route Army brought two guards to Mount Song to persuade the Shaolin Temple to come out to fight against the Japanese. Unexpectedly, the Shaolin Temple had already been aware of becoming the Imperial Army. When they saw the three people, they immediately prepared to close the temple door and wanted to tie them up and hand them over to the Japanese.
Fortunately, the leader was wise and brave, and he calmly took two guards and rushed out of Shaolin Temple.
After the end of the Anti-Japanese War, this leader went to Shaolin again to hold a trial. After the trial, most of the people in Shaolin Temple were found guilty of treason and were shot.
After liberation, the land reform team went to Songshan Mountain and found that most of the people in Shaolin Temple were qualified to be classified as landlords, bullies, local tyrants and evil gentry.
"Oh, let's not go off topic, let's talk about martial arts." Gong Xue said unwillingly.
"Okay, okay, let's get back to martial arts. Where was I just now?"
"Eighteen monks save the Tang king."
"Yes, yes, yes." Nan Yi pursed his lips and continued, "In the entire Tang Dynasty, there were no good records or legends about Shaolin Kung Fu. However, in the Ming Dynasty, there was a Huizhou merchant named Cheng Zongyou who studied stick techniques with a Shaolin Temple master for ten years. He can be said to be an authentic Shaolin disciple.
Later he wrote a book titled "Shaolin Stick Kung Fu Explanation", which recorded the various essentials of Shaolin Stick Kung Fu and the origin story of Shaolin Stick Kung Fu. It said that at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the Red Turban Army went to the Shaolin Temple to riot. King Kinnara, holding a fire stick, suddenly appeared, stood on the top of the mountain and performed stick kung fu, driving away the Red Turban Army.
From then on, Shaolin monks practiced this set of stick techniques every day, and it was passed down from generation to generation.
This myth is of course false, but it illustrates a problem from the side: people in Shaolin Temple in the Ming Dynasty believed that Shaolin stick techniques were first passed down from the end of the Yuan Dynasty.
In other words, the origin of Shaolin Temple's stick techniques, in theory, should not be earlier than the 14th century. Moreover, Cheng Zongyou was actually the first person to leave a written record praising Shaolin Kung Fu. As he was a person with a vested interest in Shaolin Temple, only half of his words can be believed.
Yu Dayou, a famous general who fought against the Japanese pirates, was as famous as Qi Jiguang, and they were called Yu Long and Qi Hu. When he was young, he studied the Book of Changes under the teachers of Wang Xuan and Lin Fu, and received the true teachings of Cai Qing. Later, he studied the military tactics deduced from the Book of Changes under Zhao Benxue, and then learned swordsmanship from Li Liangqin.
Yu Dayou was a man of great talent. He mastered the sword and stick techniques to perfection. He then continued to improve his skills in actual combat. One day, he became a top master.
It is said that there is no first in literature and no second in martial arts. Yu Dayou, who had learned a lot, naturally wanted to find a few masters to fight with. Coincidentally, the saying "Shaolin stick technique is the best in the world" began to circulate at that time.
It happened that there was a shortage of troops to fight against the Japanese invaders at that time, so Qi Jiguang went to Yiwu to recruit coolies to dig coal. Yu Dayou thought that there were thousands of martial monks in Shaolin Temple, and there should be many masters among them. He went up the mountain, had a martial arts competition first, and then recruited soldiers to learn the world's best stick skills.
So, one day, Yu Dayou went to Shaolin Temple. When he saw the official, the abbot of Shaolin Temple naturally did not dare to neglect him and quickly invited the temple's masters to perform several sets of stick techniques. Yu Dayou was very disappointed and could not help but criticize them severely, "What a fancy trick, what a joke, it's really not as good as hearing about them in person."
When he said that, the people in Shaolin Temple naturally refused to accept it and started shouting, "If you can do it, come on!"
As a master who had fought countless battles, Yu Dayou was not afraid of such a provocation. He went ahead and took the stick. He walked onto the martial arts field and pointed his finger casually, "You guys, and you guys, all come at me."
There is no need to talk about the result of the competition. Since I mentioned Yu Dayou, it is natural that he won. It can be said that everyone in Shaolin Temple was completely subdued by him. The abbot sent a few people to follow Yu Dayou down the mountain to join the army and learn stick techniques from him.
A few years later, these monks brought the stick techniques back to Shaolin Temple, and Shaolin stick techniques began to flourish. Yu Dayou can be said to be half the ancestor of Shaolin Kung Fu, and it can also be said that Buddhist Kung Fu originated from Taoism.
As for why Buddhist Kung Fu is more famous than Taoism now, this has something to do with what I said before about the Shaolin Temple being extremely wealthy. If you are poor in literature but rich in martial arts, how can you possibly practice Kung Fu well if you don't eat and drink well?
In addition, during the Qing Dynasty, there was a novel called "The Evergreen Season of the Holy Dynasty", in which the concept of Shaolin School was first proposed. This book was a popular novel at the time and was reprinted again and again. When other people wrote martial arts novels later, if Shaolin School was not mentioned, readers would not buy it at all.
Those who write novels are all poor scholars who write novels just to make a living. It is impossible for them to go against their parents who provide them with food and clothing. They just write what readers like to read.
As a result, the Shaolin School was described in more and more mysterious ways. The saying "Shaolin is the source of all martial arts in the world, and Shaolin Kung Fu is the best in the world" was spread throughout the world through storytellers. Everyone said so, so the people naturally believed it without a doubt.
However, according to my estimation, the fact that the Shaolin sect’s theory could spread so smoothly has something to do with the lay disciples of Shaolin Temple. Most of the lay disciples who can go to Shaolin Temple are from wealthy families. When they unite, they are a powerful force. Maybe the Shaolin sect was secretly created by them.”
"According to what you said, the Shaolin Temple movie was also made by Shaolin lay disciples?"
Nan Yi shook his head, "That shouldn't be the case. The screenwriters of Xiangkeng don't have much innovation ability. There are almost no original stories in martial arts films. They are better at adaptation and following trends. One copy of "The Evergreen of the Shengchao Dingsheng" is enough to make a living for a lifetime.
Fang Shiyu, Hong Xiguan, Hu Huiqian, Baimei, Wudang Feng Daode, Lei Laohu, the Five Shaolin Masters, Wu Mei Shitai, and her legendary disciple Yim Wing Chun, are the founders of Wing Chun;
Including the later Wing Chun disciple Ip Man and his famous disciple Bruce Lee, it can be said that these people are all related to the book "The Prosperity of the Holy Dynasty".
“Is this book good?”
"It's not good. The hero is Qianlong, and the author praises him to no limit. To him, maybe his father and mother are not as dear as Qianlong. But looking back at that time, the author is actually very wise and has a good point."
[It’s already so exaggerated. I can’t miss a sentence. The prototype of the story of “A Play on Qianlong” actually comes from this book.]
"What's the author's name?" Gong Xue asked curiously.
"I don't know. The name has not been passed down. If it's not good, it may be that the shameless Qianlong wrote to praise himself. It's hard to say. The descendants of Wild Boar Skin are very shameless when they praise themselves."
"Don't talk nonsense, pay attention to national unity."
"What nonsense am I talking about? Nurhaci means wild boar skin in Manchu. It is not a derogatory term. The Jurchen tribes lived between the white mountains and black waters and worshipped powerful wild animals.
Wild boars are powerful and tigers dare not provoke them easily. Wild boars have hard skin. This name has a beautiful meaning and is not something that ordinary people can call.
Dorgon is amazing, isn't he? His name actually means badger. A badger and a wild boar, wow, the comparison shows how capable Nurhaci is."
"I don't understand either, so just let you make it up." Gong Xue wiped the sweat off her forehead and said, "Nan Yi, are you lying to me? Didn't you say we were going to duel? It doesn't look like that to me."
"Not yet. After this performance, the next one will be a duel. We can't just watch the show for nothing. Wait until they decide the winner, and then you can follow the Indian's example and give them some tips."
"How much?"
"Wait, let me ask Priyanka." Nan Yi said, turning to Priyanka and said, "How much did you give just now?"
"Fifty rupees."
"Give me fifty. The seats in the VIP area are really hard to get." Nan Yi turned around and said to Gong Xue.
"Um."
As Nan Yi and the other contestant finished their chat, the two contestants, who had already been to the east, west and north, entangled with each other and came to the south. When they were less than three meters away from the VIP area, the contestant in red pants suddenly stretched out his right hand to hook the neck of the contestant in navy blue pants, and with his left hand, he fanned the contestant with a series of crackling sounds, then pushed the person away, raised his hands and shouted a few times, while looking towards the VIP area, as if waiting for a reward.
"Does this determine the winner?" Nan Yi asked Priyanka in disbelief.
"Yes, if the fight is not good, no one will give you a reward."
Things developed just as Priyanka said. Red Pants watched eagerly, but no audience member in the VIP area stood up, and no one from the other three directions came over to give tips.
When the host who was there to create the atmosphere saw this, he hurried over and took the two contestants away. Then he took the microphone and shouted a few times excitedly. Then he saw two contestants wearing only a pair of white pants walking towards the center of the competition venue from the east and north at the same time.
The two contestants stood about three meters apart, looking at each other with murderous eyes.
These two players are completely different from the two teams just now. The players just now were all fat, with fat all over their bodies and chubby faces. With more fat, they have stronger ability to withstand blows. If they fight each other slowly, the pain should not be too strong.
The two contestants now are strong, with bare upper bodies revealing their well-defined muscles, arms as thick as legs, white cloth wrapped around their wrists, and a pair of white palms.
The staff nearby came forward and tied a red ribbon on the left arm of one of them, and tied a yellow ribbon on the other. After the host incited them, they ran away, and the focus of the entire audience was on the two contestants.
The two players stared at each other, moving their feet and observing each other's flaws.
"It's a bit of a waste to slap them. These two can obviously be skilled in martial arts. We should just remove the restrictions and let them do whatever they want with swords, guns, sticks and clubs." Looking at the two contestants, Nan Yi muttered to Gong Xue.
"How do you know they have kung fu skills?"
"You have practiced martial arts, but you have the nerve to ask this question. If you had spent time studying it, you would have seen from their standing postures that they have definitely practiced leg skills. Look at the one with the yellow belt, with his upper body leaning forward, his right hand extended forward, and his left hand can change position at any time to block. Doesn't it look a bit awkward?"
Gong Xue observed for a moment and said, "A little bit."
"If you think about it, if he holds a knife in his right hand and a shield in his left hand, wouldn't it be less awkward?"
"My left hand is fine, but my right hand still feels awkward."
"He used a machete. There was a swinging motion in the move, and the inertia and centrifugal force were clearly used."
"Swing? How?"
"Just swing it like this." Nan Yi said, pointing at the yellow belt.
The player with yellow belt on the playing field suddenly rushed forward, raised his right hand and slapped the player with red belt in the face.
Bang!
Although they were thirty meters away, Nan Yi still heard the crisp sound.
Although the attack by the yellow belt was solid, it was also very risky. He used his strength from the ground and rotated to the left. Once the red belt avoided his move, he could use inertia to hit him hard with his backhand.
"The red ribbon is bleeding." Gong Xue said as she stared at it.
"Not only that, look, he's spitting out his teeth."
The red belt stared fiercely at the yellow belt's eyes, and with two "pu pu" sounds, two teeth popped out of its mouth, which were done very skillfully and were aimed at the yellow belt's eyes.
"Shit, it's too far away. I can't tell if the red ribbon blinks."
It doesn't matter if you can't see clearly. The man with the red belt has already approached him. He jumped up, swung his left hand for a circle and a half, and then moved it downward at a thirty-degree angle, and slapped the man with the yellow belt's right cheek with his palm.
"It's a pity that I can't use my feet, otherwise I can just kick forward with my feet, and there's a good chance I'll hit the balls without even aiming."
After the red belt fell to the ground, he took advantage of the situation and used both hands to hit the yellow belt with his big paw pad, which fell on his face like raindrops.
The yellow belt guy was probably stunned by the previous blow and didn't even raise his hands to block. His head swayed left and right with the red belt's palm.
"It's dead." The tiger cub behind Nan Yi suddenly said.
"Tell me about it."
Nan Yi knew that the tiger cub had good eyesight, and the tiger cub could see clearly the subtle movements that he could not see clearly.
"The one with the red band on his arm missed the target twice on purpose. His fingertips just grazed the one with the yellow band's eyes. He also hit the back of the head once, very hard. He was aiming to kill the other person."
"Um."
Nan Yi saw that the host had already walked towards the two contestants and probably realized something was wrong.
The host walked to the red ribbon and shouted twice, then reached out and pulled the red ribbon away from the yellow ribbon. As the red ribbon was pulled away, the yellow ribbon swayed left and right twice and then fell limply to the ground.
"Dead?" Nan Yi asked.
"It's still breathing. The left eye should be useless. Half of the upper eyelid has been torn off."
"That's a bit cruel. Now that the winner has been decided, there's nothing to see anymore." Nan Yi stood up and said, "Gong Xue, let's go."
"I don't understand why Yellow Belt suddenly lost." Gong Xue stood up and said regretfully: "I thought he would win."
"Go ahead, I'll talk to you on the way."
On the way, Nan Yi removed the overly bloody parts and told Gong Xue the whole process.
After returning to Peacock Villa and having a delicious dinner, Nan Yi took Gong Xue for a walk around Peacock Lake.
In Varanasi, a squad of Dalit female soldiers raided a civilian house and, armed with silenced PPKs, shot dead several "gangsters" in the house who looked hideous and disgusting. They were obviously not good people and did not need any makeup to play villains.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Varanasi, an antique Delisle carbine, now forty years old, was firing its name into the courtyard of a villa.
The performance of the Delisle carbine is very ordinary. It has no range and no accuracy, but it has a very outstanding advantage. The entire barrel is wrapped with a silencer, and the silencing effect is excellent.
With two buzzing sounds, the two dogs in the villa yard fell down.
Next to the wall of the villa, three team members worked together to send one team member up the wall. One after another, soon four team members entered the yard, crouched down, and slowly broke into the villa building in an attack formation.
The four of them were very careful and tried not to make any noise. There was no security in the villa and the possibility of a gunfight was almost zero. They did not want to alert the servants and cause more killings, they just wanted to take the target away quietly.
Perhaps because justice was on their side, the operation went very smoothly. Until a living person and two dead dogs were taken out of the villa, no servants were alarmed.
That night, Nan Yi and Gong Xue did not sleep in the bedroom. Gong Xue changed into a white ancient costume and combed her hair into an ancient lady's hairstyle. Nan Yi changed into a navy blue Taoist robe and tied her hair into a bun.
Nan Yi expressed his helplessness. Gong Xue suddenly got addicted to acting and insisted on dragging him to act out a scene. He said, "Just act it. Why do you have to act the rivalry between Yin Zhiping and Xiao Longnu?" Alas, he actually wanted to challenge the role of a bald repairman.
After working on Peacock Mountain for most of the night and doing several NGs, Gong Xue finally had her fill of acting.
the next day.
As the sunset was setting, Nan Yi went to the airport to pick up Deepak and Fatiya and took them to Peacock Villa.
Let Divaman take Fatiya to the guest room first, and Nan Yi invited Deepak to Peacock Mountain in the name of playing shooting.
Halfway up the mountain, the two came to a table. Nan Yi picked up two Lee Enfield rifles and handed one to Deepak. "It's not the original one. It was copied by the Mauser factory. It was specially supplied to an assassination team that was disguised and lurking in London. No cost was spared, and the accuracy is very high."
Deepak studied the gun in his hand and said, "Who to kill?"
"I don't know about that. Montgomery and Churchill are both possible. Obviously, no matter who the target was, they definitely did not succeed, otherwise the guns would not have fallen into the hands of the British army. I bought these two guns from a British veteran."
As Nan Yi spoke, he pulled the bolt and fired a shot at a target hanging on a tree, then made an inviting gesture to Deepak.
Deepak raised his gun, aimed at the target, and fired five shots slowly until the bullets were emptied. He pulled the bolt, put the gun down, and said, "This gun is good. It is more accurate than ordinary ones and feels good."
"If Mr. Tividi likes it, I can give it to you."
Deepak looked at the gun in his hand again. "I really like this gun. Thank you, Mr. Adam."
Nan Yi nodded, put down the rifle in his hand, and waved to the tiger cub standing beside him.
The tiger cub came closer and put a stack of documents in Nan Yi's hands.
"Mr. Tividi, I invited you to Peacock Villa this time because I have something to tell you. What I am going to say next may make you uncomfortable, so please be mentally prepared."
Nan Yi's sudden words made Deepak feel uneasy. His mind raced, guessing various possibilities, and his hands unconsciously gripped the rifle tighter.
"Mr. Adam, we shouldn't have any grudges against each other?"
"No, no, no." Nan Yi waved his hand. "Mr. Tividi, you misunderstood. There is no conflict of interest between you and me, so naturally there is no possibility of any grudge. It's just that what I want to say is closely related to you, and it's probably not a good thing."
Deepak slowly let out a sigh of relief. "Mr. Adam, please speak frankly if you have anything to say. My life has not been smooth since I was born. I have heard too much bad news along the way. One more piece of bad news will not make me collapse."
