Volume 4: White Devil Chapter 239 Don’t Let the Bad Guys Succeed

The next morning, Jeff, with dark circles under his eyes and a little absent-minded, sent his three children to school as usual. As soon as the children got out of the car and ran into the campus, before Jeff started the car, he was surrounded by the parents of more than 70 children. It seemed that these parents knew how to help Jeff maintain his dignity and did not scold him in front of the three children.
"Are you sure you will save me, boss?" Martin looked at the parents who were rushing towards Jeff with angry faces, and asked Tommy who had come to school separately from him nervously.
Tommy frowned slightly when he saw more than a hundred people gathered in the school parking lot. "This is a little beyond my expectations..."
"What? Beyond your expectation? If I... run away now, will there be any hope?" Martin heard Tommy's words and nervously observed the environment of the nearby streets. He asked repeatedly, "Didn't you tell me that the letter was just a somewhat vulgar joke? But now it seems that those people want to tear Jeff to pieces? And you are planning to let me replace Jeff."
Tommy said, "Sending a Trojan is not worth all the parents coming to the school to question Jeff. Either the mother or the father can come. Why are most of the fathers here, but not many women? Or are all the parents present? Let's go and see why in many families both parents are present. Nowadays, a Trojan is not worth making such a fuss about."
"Jeff, what did you do to the children?" In the parking lot, a middle-aged man wearing work clothes from a fruit factory came up to Jeff and said to him seriously, "What did you do? Are you possessed by a demon?"
Jeff tried to look serious in the crowd and explained, "As usual, I told them the story of the Garden of Eden and gave them candies and cookies that I bought. That's all."
"That's all?" The big man scratched his head, looked at Jeff, and then looked at the other parents: "What do you think? My son went back and gave my wife an envelope, saying that a black man gave it to him, and Jeff asked him to pass it to his mother. After his mother opened it, in addition to a letter, there was another... Shit~ there was another..."
"Is there a Trojan brand of female finger gel condoms?" another parent asked.
The big man nodded: "Yes, you too..."
The other party nodded, and then looked at the other parents, who also took out the envelope with annoyed looks on their faces. It was obvious that everyone had received this gift.
Under everyone's gaze, Jeff blushed and explained, "This is not mine. I didn't even know there was such a letter. What did it say?"
"The letter says that you advise us, your beloved neighbors, to reduce births and give welfare to Cubans and blacks." A parent threw the envelope to Jeff and said angrily:
"I have another question. To reduce birthrates, you should give me condoms instead of female finger condoms. Are you mocking my wife for only being able to use her fingers, or are you mocking my length?"
"You want us to become extinct, and you still expect us to vote for you?" Another bearded parent pointed at Jeff and roared:
"Go to hell, Jeff! I'm going to report you for bribing voters! And you gave the wrong gifts, which seriously hurt the voters' self-esteem!"
Tommy, who was outside the crowd, heard the finger rubber sleeves and finally understood why the fathers of those children would rather be late for work and come here to question Jeff.
"Didn't I tell you to buy a hundred Torjan condoms? Why did they become female finger condoms?" Tommy asked Martin in a low voice.
Martin observed the white parents who wanted to take off their pants to prove the length to Jeff, and swallowed his saliva: "You didn't pay me, boss. When stealing, I can't concentrate completely. I saw the Torjan brand and quickly put it in my pocket. How could I notice that Florida would put female finger condoms in the most conspicuous position on the shelf!"
"You know how to piss off white people." Tommy patted Martin on the shoulder. "As a black man, giving knuckles to white wives and mocking them for being useless, especially in a place like Florida where the people are tough, seems to be more effective than ordinary condoms. I'll remind Jeff to buy you death insurance."
After saying that, Tommy looked at Paige who was smoking a cigarette not far away. Paige nodded slightly, indicating that she had already called the police as Tommy instructed.
"It's your turn, campaign manager," Tommy said to Martin.
"There must be a mistake. This is not my handwriting. I...I wouldn't do this. I like children, otherwise I wouldn't be a volunteer janitor and take care of children in my spare time." In the crowd, Jeff was still trying to defend himself.
Martin took a deep breath, jumped onto the roof of a car, pointed at Jeff and said, "Jeff, it doesn't matter, just admit it. Yes, it was Jeff who wrote the letter. This is it. I hope you can understand Jeff. He wants to run for councillor, but the white people in this district are not interested in politics, so he needs to win the votes of Cubans and blacks to succeed."
"Who the hell are you , nigger!" A big white man turned his head and yelled at Martin: "And how do you know?"
"I'm Jeff Lavine's campaign manager, Marvin... Marvin. I saw him write those letters with my own eyes," Martin said seriously.
Jeff looked at Martin, "Martin, why are you here? Shouldn't you be sleeping at Zack's house?"
"Jeff, admit it. It's no big deal. Everyone will understand you." Martin still had a serious expression on his face. He stood in the car and condescendingly persuaded Jeff who was surrounded by parents.
"Jeff hired a nigger as his campaign manager?" a white parent said suspiciously, "Even if he ran for election, shouldn't those two idiots, Zack and Alan, be helping him?"
The other white people nodded in confusion, and one parent said, "My child said that a black person gave him this letter."
"You actually hired a black man to help you run for election?" The bearded parent looked at Jeff: "Are you crazy? You will break Zack and Alan's heart!"
"No, it was Martin who approached me and offered to help me with the campaign. He also said he could help me win the black votes and so on. I didn't know he would use this method. I swear to God, I really had no idea." Jeff explained.
At this time, a police car drove over with flashing lights, and two policemen got out of the car. The old policeman in the lead was holding a cup of coffee in his hand. He looked at the white people in front of him in a relaxed tone: "What happened? Someone called and said that Jeff Lavine bribed voters and was suspected of humiliating him..."
His originally relaxed tone suddenly became stern after he saw Martin standing on the roof of the car. He was still holding the coffee in his left hand, and his right hand was already on the holster at his waist. He stared at Martin and shouted:
"You! Black man! Get off the roof immediately! Lie down in front of the car! Now!"
Martin, who had just been looking down at everyone from a high vantage point, immediately raised his hands high when he saw the police shouting to stop him, jumped down from the car meekly, and lay down obediently in front of the car.
The police went over to check if Martin had any weapons. After confirming that he didn't have any coins that could be used to throw and injure people, they breathed a sigh of relief and asked their companions who came over, "Who called the police to report this black man's robbery?"
"The call to the police did not say there was any black robbery. It was that Jeff Lavine seemed to be suspected of bribing voters and humiliating others." said the young companion nearby.
The old white policeman let go of Martin with a look of regret: "Are you sure this has nothing to do with black people?"
At this time, the parents finally came to their senses after watching the police bravely arresting the black man. They looked at the other parents around them. Finally, one parent couldn't hold back and asked angrily, "Who just called the police to report Jeff for bribing voters? You just said you wanted to call the police to arrest Jeff. Was it you?"
"How is that possible? I was just trying to scare him! After all, this bastard sent a knuckle in his letter, and my wife used it to tease me for two hours last night." The suspected bearded parent immediately defended himself, "You must be kidding. If I really believed that Jeff did all this, I wouldn't have waited until this morning. I would have gone to his house last night to teach him a lesson myself."
The parents here were a little angry when they received the letter, but Jeff's good character over the years made them not believe that he would play such a bad joke on them, so they rushed to the school the next day to find out what had happened. As for calling the police, it was even more impossible. Jeff was the most reliable good man in everyone's eyes. Even if he did something wrong, everyone would give him a chance to correct it. What's more, he had just explained that he had never done such things, so everyone believed him.
"Jeff, someone called the police and said you bribed voters and were suspected of attacking others on a spiritual level. At least that's what the police said on the phone. So, in order to go to Washington to be a congressman and promote the great flat earth theory, did you bribe everyone? Why didn't you bribe me? I also have a vote, damn it!" The old policeman walked up to Jeff, picked up the envelope in his hand, opened it slowly, and teased at the same time.
In the eyes of the old policeman, the least threatening person in this area might be the honest big guy in front of him.
"Officer Fitz, I didn't." Jeff explained in a low voice, "I didn't write this letter."
"You gave me a finger sleeve? You bribed everyone to give everyone a finger sleeve? You mocked everyone's golf clubs for not being long enough to satisfy their wives?" The policeman finished reading the letter, then looked at the finger sleeve and said with a smile, "It's a good thing you didn't give it to me, otherwise my wife might really use it in front of me. Since three years ago, my waist has been unable to support me in strenuous exercise."
A group of parents burst into laughter.
"Okay, there's a guy called... who was it?" The old policeman looked at his young rookie companion.
The companion said in a positive tone: "Martin, the person who called the police is called Martin."
"That's right. A man named Martin called the police and said you bribed voters and were suspected of insulting others. These are very serious charges. You have to go to the police station with us. If you can't explain clearly, you will have to explain your short-lived election career..." The old policeman patted Jeff on the shoulder and was about to ask him to go back to the police station with him to take a statement and be investigated.
"Hey, nigger, what did you say your name was?" a parent suddenly came to his senses and said to Martin.
Martin swallowed his saliva and looked at the people around him with unfriendly faces: "Marvin, Marvin Hart."
"Didn't you always tell me that your name was Martin?" Jeff said at this time.
"He said he was Jeff's campaign manager. Our children also said that a black man gave them the envelope yesterday and told them to take it home. He also told them that Jeff personally gave it to them." Another parent said loudly, "This black man might be deceiving Jeff. He must have some conspiracy!"
"It sounds like your trouble is more serious than robbery, kid." The old policeman picked up his cup of coffee, took a big sip, and said to Martin, "Come back to the police station with me for investigation. And, Jeff, you have to come with us."
When the parents heard that Jeff was also going to be taken away, they became excited: "Hey, Fitz, you can't take Jeff away. Jeff didn't bribe the voters! He didn't humiliate anyone either. It was that black man who was causing trouble. Jeff is a good man!"
"That's right. If he's taken away, who will help us take care of the kids after school? Others are not as reliable as Jeff!"
"I guess, maybe someone is deliberately framing Jeff, maybe one of the other three black candidates active in this district is trying to eliminate his competitor in this way." Tommy said to a student parent next to him in the crowd as if casually.
The student's parent was stunned when he heard Tommy's words, then he suddenly realized something and shouted, "That's right! This is a conspiracy of the black candidate! They want to kick out Jeff who is competing with them for votes! If Jeff is taken away, their conspiracy will succeed!"
"Fitz! Teach this guy named Martin a lesson! He must have been sent to frame Jeff! Don't let him succeed!"
The parents also realized at this time that Jeff had never been a good communicator. How could he suddenly write a letter to canvass for votes and send such a disgusting gift as a finger glove?
Only a competitor would use such disgusting means to attack Jeff!
Some excited parents couldn't help but pounce on Martin and teach this black man who framed Jeff a lesson! Fortunately, the old policeman protected Martin behind him and stopped the parents from acting impulsively: "Hey, hey, hey! Calm down! If there is something wrong with this black man, I will check it out. Don't make trouble."
"Everyone...everyone please calm down...I mean, if someone wants me not to participate, I am willing to withdraw. I don't want to be...I don't want to be regarded as a bad person. If withdrawing from the election can prove that I didn't write letters and send knuckles to you, I am willing to withdraw." Jeff blushed at this time, and tried to raise his voice to express his attitude:
“Just let them get elected.”
The parents immediately shifted their attention from Martin back to Jeff, and some parents spoke up angrily:
"What the hell are you talking about, Jeff? Why are you quitting? Why can't you run for election? You're being framed. You're a good guy. Why can't good people run for election?"
"That's right. We can't let those bastards who framed you get their way. You have to run for election, Jeff. I support you! You've helped us take care of the children over the years. We've seen everything you've done!"
"If you back down now, Jeff, you'll make us even more disappointed! You have to give those bastards who sent knuckles to my wife a good beating for yourself and for us!"
More and more parents became angry when they heard that Jeff was going to withdraw from the election because of the slander, and they all shouted to encourage the helpless Jeff.
"Hey! You can't be a Nof who makes the bad guys happy and happy! Jeff Laven!" Tommy suddenly stood up, parted the crowd, walked in front of Jeff, and shouted at him:
"Even I, who just passed by and heard this, feel that you can't give up. I work at a TV station. Look, our camera is over there! It has recorded everything that just happened. Maybe one day, it will appear on TV! If you quit, then one day in the future, when you hear these words of encouragement from everyone on TV again, will you regret it? Don't let yourself regret it, and don't let everyone who loves you be completely disappointed! If you run for election, I am willing to do my best for you! Through my ability, let everyone know who is the righteous American who has been silently contributing to this district but was framed!"
Hearing that Tommy worked at a TV station and that there were cameras recording, everyone turned their heads in the direction of the cameras and found that there was indeed a cameraman recording not far away, and they immediately became more excited.
"That's right, Jeff! Listen to what this young man says! Even if it's not for yourself, for everyone in this area, you should stand up and continue to fight those bastards who framed you!"
"Jeff, this is a good opportunity. You can tell everyone the truth on TV. No one is forcing you to do anything. This is your fight back. Don't let them think you are easy to bully!"
Jeff looked at the people who were encouraging him nervously: "I don't...I can't possibly be elected anyway, and I don't have the money to advertise. No one knows me except you guys in these three streets. I mean, there's no way I can be elected, so why not..."
"I'm donating fucking money to you! I can't bear to see those dirty politicians destroying truly good people in this way! I'm donating a hundred dollars! This is all I have right now!" Tommy took out his wallet, took out all the money from it, and stuffed it directly into Jeff's hand:
"My mom told me to do the right thing. I think the right thing to do at this moment is to support you, Jeff Lavine! Whether you are elected or not, fight like a man. Don't endure the slander, defamation, and frame-up by your opponents in silence. Learn to speak up for yourself! Maybe you won't be elected, but you can't let anyone take away your right to run for election just because of the word 'maybe'!"
"Because that's your god-given right as a Florida freeman!"
After saying that, Tommy turned around and looked at the parents: "Don't let a good man be completely sad. I donated money to him, not for bullshit politics. Who in their right mind would care about dirty politics?"
"I just want to have children in a dozen years. By then, there will still be good people like Jeff, and I can trust them, just like you trust Jeff now. When I am busy at work, I can leave my children to him to take care of them. I want him to tell my children that this world is beautiful, God loves the world, and people trust each other and love each other like family members."
“Now, is there anyone willing to support his candidacy like me?”
