Volume 4: Beginning of Spring Chapter 32 Glutinous Rice
Jiang You and Tang Butian walked slowly in the park in the sun. When they reached the side door, Tang Butian stopped and said, "I need to go to the office."
"Go ahead," Jiang You yawned, "I'll go back and take a nap."
After walking out of the park and watching Tang Butian get into a taxi, Jiang You pushed Jiang Mo toward Wenhua Street. When they reached Guanghe Bookstore, he moved the cart to the side, opened the door, and then walked in with the cart.
Chen Nan looked up and saw Jiang You.
"Take him for a walk in the park," Jiang You carried Jiang Mo out of the stroller, then stacked the chairs, "and tried this stroller It's gentle to push, but it's not vibration-proof."
Jiang Mo walked to the rest area and saw a lazy sofa by the window. He walked over and sat down.
"He is becoming more and more like you." Chen Nan said as he watched Jiang Mo's actions.
Jiang You sat down at a table near the counter, "I've been very diligent recently."
Chen Nan squeezed two glasses of fresh orange juice.
"Would you like to come to my place for some Tangyuan tonight?" She placed a glass of orange juice next to Jiang You.
Jiang You took a sip.
Chen Nan walked to the window and squatted, handing the other cup to Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo withdrew his gaze from the window and took the cup with both hands.
"What's the filling?" Jiang You asked.
"There are both sesame and meat ones. Yunyun likes the sesame ones."
"I like sesame, too. I just saw a lot of lanterns in the park, by the lake. Let's go see them together after dinner."
"OK."
While Jiang You and Chen Nan were discussing how to celebrate the Lantern Festival, Guan Nuo got off the car in front of the Ning'an District Detention Center. He took out his cell phone and made a call. Soon after, Wu Yulan came out.
Her hair was tied casually back, her face looked grim, and her right hand was bandaged.
She brought Guan Nuo in.
"Aunt Wu, how is your injury?" Guan Nuo asked, looking at her hand.
"Okay, why did you want to meet Huang Juan?"
They walked into the detention center.
Walking on the long and empty corridor, Guan Nuo listened to the footsteps of him and Wu Yulan, and he said: "I know Jinghu will kill my father."
He took a breath.
"Why did he meet the people from Jinghu Society? What did he find out? Who was it that killed Dad? I don't know any of this. Aunt Wu, you and Uncle Su, Uncle Zhu, and Uncle Zhuang are all very kind to me. I don't believe that you haven't thought about this and haven't investigated it. I want to know the truth."
"Do you think Huang Juan knows?"
"She is from the Jinghu Society. Even if she doesn't know, she must know who knows."
"We used various methods to try to get her to speak," Wu Yulan smiled bitterly, "You are just like your father, he also..."
They walked through a room that looked like a warehouse.
Wu Yulan took out a card from her pocket and swiped it on the sensor.
The iron door opens from the middle to both sides.
Guan Nuo looked up and saw on the monitor screen that Huang Juan was wearing a blue prison uniform and sitting behind the interrogation table with her head down.
Wu Yulan opened the door of the interrogation room.
Guan Nuo hurried over and followed. They walked into the interrogation room.
Huang Juan seemed to feel nothing and remained motionless in the previous posture.
Guan Nuo sat down.
He looked at Huang Juan.
She was very thin, and her hands were very white, and you could see the bones, like chicken claws.
There was a thick white bracelet on his wrist with an indicator light on it that flashed green.
Huang Juan raised her head.
Guan Nuo just then realized that her eye color was very light. Maybe she had been wearing colored contact lenses before but had taken them off now.
"I'm Guan Nuo. Do you know Sang Xu? He is my father." After saying that, Guan Nuo stared at Huang Juan's face, trying to find some clues from her expression.
"Do you know who killed him?"
"Now, you have to confess honestly in order to..."
Huang Juan turned her head and looked at the yellow wall without saying a word.
More than ten minutes later.
Guan Nuo and Wu Yulan walked out of the interrogation room.
"She's always like this. No matter how much I ask her, she won't say anything," Wu Yulan sighed. "Xiao Nuo, after your father got into trouble, the person who was most sad was your mother. She was an expert in divination, but she couldn't predict whether her husband would live or die."
Guan Nuo lowered his head, "I know."
"Today is the Lantern Festival, go back early."
"Okay, Aunt Wu, you should go back early and heal your wounds first. Jinghu Society will definitely not let you off."
On the night of the Lantern Festival, Jiang You was a little full, and the glutinous rice was hard to digest, so he felt a little uncomfortable in his stomach. So after returning home, he tried to sleep in bed for fifteen or sixteen hours to recuperate.
Yang Xuan looked at the closed gate of the courtyard.
She took out her cell phone and called Jiang You.
More than thirty seconds later, she heard Jiang You's sleepy voice, "What's the matter?"
"I sent you the ticket. Did you forget?"
"No, did you say when..." Jiang You glanced out the window, "Wait for me for a while."
After Yang Xuan stood outside the yard for another minute or two, the door opened and she saw Jiang You standing in front of her wearing a beige coat over his pajamas and slippers.
After she walked in, Jiang You closed the door again. He looked at her hair and asked, "Did you dye your hair black?"
"I bleached my hair many times last year. I want to dye it to nourish my hair. Doesn't black look good?"
"He seems to be a lot more well behaved." Jiang Youxi commented cautiously.
"I know, you are a pink lover." Yang Xuan exposed Jiang You.
"It's OK, it's OK, you sit for a while, I'll go upstairs to wash my face."
Yang Xuan walked to the counter and sat down on the soft chair. She saw the candies in the candy bowl and picked out a peach-flavored candy to eat.
After taking out her phone and looking at it for a while, she stood up and walked to the shelf, looking at the few sparse postcards. She reached out and pulled one out, holding it in her hand and looking at it. It was a landscape painting, with a blue sky, snow, and a crimson maple forest winding across the skyline.
"I like this one, I'll give it to you."
Jiang You's voice sounded behind Yang Xuan.
Yang Xuan turned around and asked, "Are you dark?"
"Why don't you say I've lost weight?"
Yang Xuan put the postcard into her bag, then took out two tickets and handed them to Jiang You. "I'll give you an invitation link later. You and the photographer can fill it out. It will be used to compile a list. It is said that it will be submitted to the Public Security Bureau ."
"Okay." Jiang You reached out and took it.
He flipped through the pages and said, "It says here that you can't bring cameras or bags."
"Ah?" Yang Xuan leaned forward and looked at the words on the back of the ticket. "How did they take the photos on the front line?"
"Let me take a look," Jiang You took out his phone and searched on Baidu. "It seems that you have to hide it. Look at this post. There are many ways to hide the camera. The lens and the body must be separated. If the venue is strict and you are discovered, you will be kicked out by the security."
"It should be, not strict..."
"It's not a big deal to bring it in. I'll take a look at it when the time comes and improvise. If others are taking pictures, we'll take pictures too, right?"
"Okay, I'll leave it to you!"
